Is it possible to define two different fingerings for the same chord? Last time I tried that the different fingerings were preserved in eof itself but when playing the song in Rocksmith it showed only one fingering whenever the chord in question came up

Yeah that seems to be the issue for me, I was making a seperate project for the album version that I've manually resynced but I have to copy all the dynamic difficulties and make phrases and sections again for the multitrack project. Am I doing this wrong? Is there a better way to solve this?I want to add that using the album version was important for me because the gh/rb multitracks usually aren't very good in audio quality, have unusual volume levels sometimes (for instance an instrument overshadowing the others when it's not supposed to) and more extras like these intro-drumstick-hits. Most of these multitracks seem altered at least very slighty imo. Also, how do I prevent Rocksmith from only accepting either the album version cdlc or multitrack cdlc? I'm pretty sure naming them differently doesn't solve anything, I didn't do any elaborate tests but I know this from experience when trying to get cdlc and corresponding backing track cdlc to work (to make them both show up in the Rocksmith song list at the same time). Is this more of a question that I'd have to ask the toolkit devs?If the album version has been altered from the master recording, you may have to resync various parts of the chart though.

I have a song that I have a backing track for and I plan adding it in an update. For some reason adding BT to this particular song isn't as simple as switching out the .ogg files from album version with multitrack one so I couldn't do it straight away, but yeah backing track cdlcs could be really cool.
Also I used Frack's links for that and I wouldn't have discovered this glorious multi-track collection without his thread on smithy

Sorry I'm responding so late, the arrangements are from other users' cdlc so I don't have the original xml or project files. I will ask BHMath later if he's willing to provide the pre-toolkit xml files from his Muse songI myself have unpacked that cldc with the - as of now - lastest stable toolkit release, just adding this info in case it's important
fabianosan asked in another thread (http://customsforge.com/topic/2533-unpacked-xml-missing-count-attribute-unable-to-import-in-eof/?do=findComment&comment=13642) if you could provide the original XML files before they were packed into a custom with the toolkit? Here is a zip of some arrangements that I can't import as of eof r1299: http://www.sendspace.com/file/o4gtqdIn eof it says "Failure. Check log for details" And in the log it's always that tuning value error

What about http://www.rscustom.net/dlc/ ?(...) and sadly, there is nowhere to find any RS 2012 CDLC anymore :(
-
I think that function is only for rock band/guitar hero or other eof-associated rhythm game midi templates, but ask raynebc yourself in this thread: http://customsforge.com/topic/1529-latest-eof-releases-r1304/page-5?do=findComment&comment=13596 (or reach out to him any other way)
I'm sure he won't mind that question, he never seems annoyed by repeatedly asked questions as well which is really nice of him

What did she mean by come back? I mean customsforge is a new site, so essentially she wouldn't be "coming back" if she registered here...Oh and I wanted to let everyone know I did a playthrough of Kiscsak's TSP CDLC:http://youtu.be/T5P5GL9JaX4My playing is pretty sloppy as always, but I love this song so I just had to do itNo problem mate :) Thank you, that you like the project :)You are right, songs wre lost during the proces fo switching the sites. But to be honest most of the songs that were lost, weren't finished. Only bass songs from RobotMom were good. I talked to her after the switch a she don't want to come back. I have all of her's customs, but im sorry to tell you that we are not allowed to post customs that are not created by us. :/PS: Thanks slyver :)

I've had this happen to me too recently. Just wanted to confirm this.Thank you for your great work as always
Thanks, I'll check this out.One more bug I've encountered: When the lyrics are already in place and I change the bpm on a beat marker with Adjust notes enabled, the lyrics are deleted. Lyric markers are still there, but there's no lyrics.
-
Thanks raynebc! You were right I for some reason had the "ignore capo/tuning" option checked so after unchecking it the chord names changed. I never looked for/noticed it, but I got the "C=" thingy at the beginning of the song as well so I know for sure it works now
However, the midi tones still stay the same... I don't really need it but wanted to point it out anyway
Here is a zip of some arrangements that I can't import as of eof r1299: http://www.sendspace.com/file/o4gtqd
In eof it says "Failure. Check log for details" And in the log it's always that tuning value error
-
Hey rayne, is there some sort of guide or manual for utilizing the capo feature yet? I'm kinda confused as to how I'm supposed to author capo arrangements mainly because the chord names and midi tones stay the same, regardless of whether I put a value other than 0 into the "set capo" field..
I'm also getting errors recently trying to import unpacked cdlc arrangements (the log says: "error reading tuning values from XML. Aborting"

It may not be what you're looking for but I want to throw it out anyway, just so you have an even larger range of suggestions to choose from: Muse - Unintended is an easy acoustic and it's somewhat of a love song.
It has easy handshapes except for that one b7 chord and is very slow, the intro is probably the hardest part of the song. I have the impression only younger people like Muse, so if they ain't too young they probably don't like the music genre or band anyway.
Here is a cdlc of it for Rocksmith 2014 http://www.rscustom.net/dlc/11713
Other than that this was more of a general easy-acoustic-song recommendation, I'm not exactly a girl expert, I just assumed it may be a good candidate

THIS
Yeah, perfect suggestion IMO. I think I like the first option most

Phew ! Hey guys !
It took a lot of effort but I finally updated everything in the main threads, including links
to customs forge. Images. etc.
Firstly I would like to say that I would like to thank you all for all the contributions that you've made.
When I started this thread I didn't really thought that we would make so much progress. But
here we are. We have tons and tons of material that we created for each other and others
and the library that we've made is excelent and we can be pround on ourselves.
Secondly I would like to thank the contributors for taking hours and hours to make the CLDC
the best. There are a lot of new contributors that start and don't finish their work, which is sad
for people who download that song. I would like to thank especially BHMath, Kiscsak98, RobotMom,
Slyver and Kent0348 for helping the others with the feedback and working hardly on every DLC !
So thank you once more !
Keep up the great work !
Cheers
PS: For those contributors who still didn't move customs from Smithy's to Forge, it would be highly
appreciated if you did. I read somewhere that Majere is going to delete the threads and it will be easier
if you would upload it now. The threads on Smithys are now only for contributors and regular people can't
see the links in this thread, so they are unable to download them. Please try to upload them here :)
I will do my best to keep the thread going and links live.
Thank you very much Shiroo, you're really doing awesome work and I really appreciate that you take so much of your time keeping this list clean and tidy along with working on your own Muse customs!
Keep up the great work, I really think you deserve a lot of praise seeing as you're holding this whole Muse collaborative project together which probably ain't easy, so thank you very very much for that!
I also want to thank every other Muse contributor, you guys are awesome and I love each and everyone of your custom songs
By the way, wanted to say I'm a bit inactive lately regarding rs so I definitely won't give feedback to songs for the time being, and can you remove my nameplate in the original post? I'm just thinking it won't be necessary as I don't plan to work on any Muse customs soon, and obviously smbh is official dlc now.

Deja vu - rating systems, trying to get users to provide feedback. There used to be another site that was going down this road and ended up crashing off a washed out bridge in pretty spectacular fashion. Some charters want your feedback and will act on it to improve their customs. Some charters want to get out as much as they can and don't really care if there are things that they consider "fluff". Some charters only want to do the tracks that they want to play and don't care if it doesn't have a bass track, or a vocals track. Take what you get and tell the charter thanks. Some customs are as good as (if not better) than official dlc but the vast majority of the people who do charting are never going to be expert so don't expect it. You won't see any of my customs here because I got quickly burnt out trying to make them perfect and got tired of seeing the ratio of downloads to simple thanks being so lopsided. There is already a simple thanks button. Don't be afraid to use it.
Well, what do you think of something like, displaying the amount of thanks a cdlc has gotten in the search engine? This could also be used as some sort of measure of how popular/good a custom song is without essentially being a rating system.
Also I'm not sure what you guys even mean by SA downfall or what the rating system would have to do with this. Clearly Majere is in lone control of SA and if he decides to just stop hosting a cdlc index then it's not the fault of a rating system or anyone else. Do you mean the contributors that left because of the rating system instead? I'd call it less of a crash because there were still a whole lot of contributors left and willing to make custom songs with or without the rating system
-
This sounds good, but I'm wondering whether enough people would want to be testers. It seems a bit tedious to me to just dedicate your time to testing songs that you have never heard of and may not like.
-
I'm not an expert on these things so I trust you know what's the right thing to do. Danke für die Erklärung und servus!
-
I noticed that after I edited the description and difficulty level fields of a CDLC it appeared in the search engine as recently updated and in bold. I think it would be nice to restrict that to only occur when the author puts a different value into the version field.
-
Perhaps there should be a check box next to it that you mark if you have used the DDC, instead of having to enter a number.
Yeah, that would be great
-
Don't worry I'll post soon my new Customs !
Falling away with you has been done ;)
Awesome! A pity the song is too difficult for me..
Well I'm glad the Musers are coming together again, there's just RBM and Slyver left, though I'm not sure if RobotMom will ever return to cdlc making.
-
I can still see the cdlc section as well, but I'm betting in the not so distant future the whole site will just be shut down. There was also a huge members purge apparently. The site went from 30k registered users to 17k. Majere's aim seems to be cutting down traffic as much as possible for now.
-
I used to play that quite a bit. Never heard of the "brony" meme though. What's that?
Haha, if you've ever watched a youtube video and scrolled down into the comment section, chances are you already met one of them. I already saw one on this very site too, but I'll refrain from letting my arguably offensive opinions slip out any further
-
Used to play TF2 a lot until the "brony" internet meme evolved and made me resort to single-player games instead. Been playing Civilization V and The Witcher series recently, was a lot of fun

Thanks again for your great work raynebc (in general - all of it until now), I've moved away from Rocksmith some months ago and use EOF now as a transcription program because I've gotten so used to it. I'm guessing there are probably better, more suited apps for song transcription out there but I love EOF and I appreciate the work you do for it very much.
For some time, I'm not sure if this was a common problem, I had issues with keyboard shortcuts (the software behaved as though the ctrl (+shift and more keys) was always pressed down, and when I actually pressed it EOF registered it as not pressing it) but luckily it seems to be fixed now after downloading one of the newer revisions. Regardless of whether this is the direct result of you doing bug-fixes and general improvements or not, I want to thank you for continuing to do these updates anyway
