@HameronWe are probably the only 2 ppl who care about this issue lol. I made a discovery today that I wanted to share with you. When using "L" to make an edit, the lyric selection behaves as expected. It's only when using the middle mouse button that the problem happens.

I don't know if this has been reported before, but I can pretty consistently reproduce this "bug" in EOF...
While editing PART VOCALs, when I add a word or edit a word (Edit Lyric dialog box), then press OK out of it... if the next thing I do is a Shift + Click on a different word on the current screen, everything to the left gets selected. I don't think that's the intended action is it?
I know this is old, but I have somewhat of a solution. I no longer use shift + click to make a lyric line. Instead, I just use control + click to select the first and last words of the line before hitting control + M. That will avoid select everything to the left of a particular line when using shift + click after an edit.

Nevermind. I think turning off G-sync in Nvidia Control Panel then restarting my PC fixed it? That's what I did anyway.
You don't have to turn G-sync off completely. It just needs to be on fullscreen mode only.

Dude you are my hero! That did the trick!
Np. This used to bug the crap outta me until I finally figured it out.

Do you have a G-sync monitor? If so, it needs to be set to fullscreen mode only in the nvidia control panel. If it's set to fullscreen and windowed mode, EOF will act like this.

This happens to me all the time. I try to remember to click "off" of a word first (so that nothing is selected), then click the first word of a phrase and shift + click the last word. However, I always seem to forget.

It's the same for me as well.

Is there any way to add a feature that could adjust the stereo balance all the way left/right. That would help for figuring out guitar parts that are only on one channel. I have been taking off one headphone, or using equalizer APO to do this. That isn't the ideal solution because I use amp modeling software and I can't hear my own guitar very well.
Just a suggestion.

@@cozy1 I found the cause of the problem. I got the error no matter what I typed in the search box.
This is the full log.

I narrowed it down to one DLC file

It's a version I made that is not on ignition. I used the toolkit to remake that file and it works as it should now. I think it was just an error with that psarc that had to do with the toolkit.

@hooolian Screen shot plz and more detail as I am not able to reproduce your issue. Are you using the column filter dropdown to search or the Search 'Type characters to search for then hit return' box? Did you remember to press 'Enter' after you input a search?
When I type something in the search box and hit enter, this happens

I'm just worried about my Rocksmith cable. I'm guessing they will be hard to find soon. I wonder if I should buy an extra just in case mine gets damaged. I hope the no cable patch is viable.

I am at work right now, but I will make screen shots when I get home. The only way I am able to search is by using the dropdown filters. I get the errors when I use the search box. I'm pretty sure it happens when I hit enter.

This is the same for me as well. It will work if I delete the CFSM folder in My Documents and restart the program. But, even then, it will not let me use the search feature, and I have to delete the folder everytime I want to run it.

I keep getting this warning when I save an EOF project since the latest hot fix \/
--Warning (RS): At least one track difficulty has no fret hand positions defined. They will be created automatically.--
It's always for the track I'm working on. I try deleting the FHPs and making them again (plus, I verify them with the "check fret hand positions" option), but I still get the error. It only disappears if I select "generate all differences" in the menu.
I also get this error when I load up projects from previous hot fixes \/
--Error: Default RS sections that were added are missing. Skipping writing the <sections> tag.--
I have to clear all events and redo them to cancel the error.
These aren't major gripes. I Just wanted to give some "helpful" feedback. Thanks for all you do.

I have noticed issues as well. I edited a record a couple of months ago, and at some point probably a month later (or more) the record reverted back to the initial version. Also I have logged in to find the site very slow or not loading at all. I use chrome on multiple computers at home and work. I don't think it has anything to do with browsers or computers.

If your bass track is being used, you can make a copy of your EOF song folder (make sure you are done editing your beatmap). Open the copied EOF notes. You can now alter the existing tracks, or delete the track data and start over. Either way, your beatmap and wav file will be the same (and that's what matters). When you're ready to make your DLC in the Toolkit, just select the tracks you want from the appropriate folder.
The downside to this: If you change your beatmap I'm sure it would mess everything up, so lock your beatmaps.
-
Once you have added the leading silence, click "beat" at the top. On the drop down menu, click "push offset back." Do that four times for four beats.

Yup, it's about that easy in Win7 also. So you have both audio devices connected via switchbox, like me, or do you have to manually reconnect?
and yeah, pretty much everything ubisoft puts in their faq is useless.
I don't have a switchbox. I am connecting them manually for now. Mainly because the onboard audio doesn't provide enough power to my headphones. I just unplug my headphones from the Scarlett and into a Logitech surround sytem that plugs into the motherboard. If I plug the headphones directly into the motherboard I can't get the volume high enough. I have looked into switchboxes though. that would make it easier.
I also have another computer in my gym room that I use to play while on my spin bike. For that computer I use a cheapo Behringer guitar interface for the audio output. (I use that instead of the onboard audio because of the volume issue as well.) However, unlike the Scarlett, there is no latency issues with the Behringer. But, I did get popping noises. I followed the Ubisoft instructions and was able to get it to work perfect. I don't remember for certain but I want to say that setting the audio engine to 1 did the trick.
I think the "higher tier" audio interfaces just don't play well with Rocksmith. I really wish they did though. My Sennheisers with the Scarlett is a sweet combo.

I was gifted a Focusrite Scarlett Solo (gen 2) to use with my Peavey Revalver software. The audio sounded so good that I made it as my default sound device. When I tried it with Rocksmith, It sounded great, however the latency made it unplayable. I tried the ubisoft recommended latency fixes, but they did not work.
Now I have to switch it to onboard sound when I want to play Rocksmith. It's very easy to do in windows 10. You just left click the sound icon in the taskbar, and if you have multiple sound devices enabled the current one will be displayed and there will be a downward arrow next to it. Just click the arrow and select the device you want.

Just select all the same chords and the notes in between and mark a handshape (Ctrl+Shift+H).
This worked. I made the handshape in EOF but it did not render the repeat boxes in the 3D viewer.
So I was skeptical that it would work, but to my surprise...

...It worked. Thanks iminashi.

You might be able to kind of cheat and mark those chords with the "hi dens" status, but I'm not sure if that will work as well.
I tried this and it did seem to work in EOF. The following chords are rendered as repeat chords in the 3D viewer. However....
...It did not transfer to Rocksmith that way.
Here is an example of what I'm trying to get. This is from the Official KSE DLC "Holy Diver". It's not the best example because it is only one repeat box, but this is what I'm going for.

Thanks for your input.

Thats a good idea. I didn't think of that. Thanks.

Is there a way to force repeat chord boxes to show up when there are notes between chords? In this example I am trying to have the first C5 chord show up fully and the subsequent C5 chords show as repeat boxes even though there are palm muted open notes between them. I know this happens in offiicial DLC, but I don't recall seeing it in CDLC.
I have searched the forum for an answer, but all I found was a post from 4 years ago and at that time it was not possible. I'm hoping there is a way to do it now.
The CDLC i'm working on is messed up on Rocksmith.

What is the visual bug? Is it the chord fingerings at the 9th and 11th frets?
