  1. I really can't answer your questions (whether or not there is a fix or if other people have the same issue) but I can say that my experience is at least similar to yours. I also get the little pop-up when I click the play button, and for me at least, the song will start playing. What I've been doing when I want to listen to a song is click the play button and then click the "Go to record page" button. That will open a page like this; http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/fox-on-the-run-r17174 it opens it in a new tab. After that opens, I close the pop-up window and then press the pause button which will stop the song from playing there, and it will also make that pop-up reappear. I just close it again. Then I go to the record page and listen to the song from there, download it if I decide I want it...etc. The process is a bit annoying and I'm not sure it's supposed to work that way because I can't image why it would have been designed that way, but I don't know if there are plans to fix it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
  2. Aerosmith (8 times) John "Cougar" Mellencamp (5 times) Ted Nugent (2 times) Alice Cooper REO Speedwagon Poison The Guess Who (sadly, without Burton Cummings or Randy Bachman - so maybe that doesn't count.) :) I'm sure there are more but I can't remember.
  3. I did move this out of General and into the "help" forum. I'm pretty sure the following tutorial will help both of you with this issue; Got a song that crashes after tuning? Here's how to fix it.
  4. Brooklyn_Sounds answer is correct, but I'll expand on it a bit. i'm sure what you got right now is a zip file, first you'll need to unpack or unzip those files into a folder. Then find and run the RocksmithToolkitGUI.exe file That file should have a little red guitar as an icon, easy to find. Once it's open, you need to import the p.psarc file in the first tab, then change the name of the song and artist. You can edit the fields you want to change, and then build the song again. Good luck with it!
  5. I'm not sure of the answer myself, but I'll look into it and find out. Hang tight.
  6. Yes, this is definitely a start! Thanks for the replies. I'm not familiar with Editor on Fire, but at least now I know what EoF means. :)
  7. Is there a thread, or an FAQ that explains acronyms and terminology? I figured out that GP stands for GuitarPro, but I bet there's others like me that had no idea. And even knowing that GP stands for GuitarPro I'm not real sure I understand the significance. Is there somewhere to go to find an explanation? How is GP different then any other tab file? As for EoF, I still have no clue what that even means. And I suspect that there are others just like me. Afraid to ask these questions. I searched "EoF" and got no results, either the search function doesn't work, or it's a term that hasn't been used before. Either way, I'm lost. I applied for a mod postion tonight and most likely I'll be turned down, but one of the reasons I applied is just because I see things (like this) that should be addressed. I've lurked these forums for almost 2 years now and am still quite bashful about posting because there's so much I don't understand.
  8. Compare it to making love with your partner. After a while, you don't need to do it everyday or 3 times a day. Eventually that passion will mellow and age, like a fine bourbon. Don't feel guilty about that. The music is your love, playing guitar is your expression of that love, but you don't need to express it (in that way) every day. Some days I won't play, but I'm on youtube watching lessons or on this site looking for new songs. As for my partner, she turned out to be a bitch so she had to go, but I do still enjoy some fine bourbon! haha! But not everyday. :D But I play guitar when it suits me, and I do sometimes go a week or so without playing. That's what is so great about a hobby, you can do it when you want and that's it. No expectations from anyone else.
  9. I think your problem is more a lack of confidence then it is with your ability. You kicked some ass there, that's some good playing.
  10. If you mouse over the post there should be a link on the bottom (just to the left of Quote) for thanking people. And @@Nitemares, I'm glad you're enjoying things around here! It means a lot to me (and I'm sure the other makers of CDLC) to know that people are enjoying their works. Thanks for supporting the site! Edit: I'll also add, for people without much disposable income for supporting the site, I know I and many other charters would like to have more constructive feedback on our customs. If more people could give feedback beyond a "Thanks" on our uploads, I'm sure it would help increase CDLC quality across the board. Thanks! Got it. Thanks! :)
  11. Hey Greg, thanks for the reminder. I feel the same way you do. Those of us that "feed" off the work of others should really pitch in when we can. I've donated before, but am going to go do it again. I "liked" your post, and if I could figure out how to give you "thanks", I'd do that as well. :)
  12. Yes, that sounds correct to me. This is what RS support told me and it's what I do, so I hope to hell it's correct. :) folder to back up is in Steam>userdata> C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\155299009\221680 And that reminds me, it's time to back it up again.
  13. Great! That seems to have been the problem. I see that paypal is your only option for donations so I'll have to go there and transfer some $$ to my paypal account before I can complete the donation. Right now I only have $6 in my account. :) Thanks for the work that you do in running this great source of songs to jam with!
  14. Yesterday I clicked on the "June Donation Goal Added. Click here to continue to support us." link because I wanted to make a donation. I got an error page. On that error page was a link to report the problem, that link went to an email form, and today that email was returned. I'm trying to help you reach your goal, but can't see to make a donation. what to do? Thanks! PS, and for some reason I can't turn off bold and italics. ?? Nor can I add a smiley. :) Oh wait, got that to work!
