  1. @@Gamut I just figured out that 2^8 was not an awful mistake. Forgive me!
  2. Welcome! I use Imgur. After updating a screenshot there I select it from my updates. It expands and shows a number of options on your right. Try to copy the BBcode and paste on the forum, it works for me. Someone may remember my fail when I tried to do that the first time. Everyone starts noob!
  3. @@Telboy We are on the same boat. I'm not doing much better, the song is like a long solo to me and I generally suck at playing Gary Moore. The point is, if RS has bends recognizing issues, why do you even think to chart Gary Moore? You must hate humans to do that. So it comes to my mind that MAYBE I'm doing it wrong, but I hear my bends hitting the right notes, at least in the easiest licks of the song. I'm stuck, don't know what to do and RR here won't help.
  4. Bends are recognized late or not recognized at all. Same problem, anyone? This is like a different way to use hands.
  5. EDIT: I swear I just got this one. My best today was 94%, and then I leveled up. Or probably I got really lucky.
  6. I keep missing a lot of 2nd string notes for no reason.
  7. I got a 77% in first run, and managed to get a 95% after a couple of hours in RR. Don't give up too soon! Once you get the moves it's really satisfying to play this one.
  8. I heard a guy telling his story about this. He is lefty, but had been taught playing right-handed. After years of practice he becomes somewhat good, and says "it still seems to me a bit unnatural to play this way". Also he felt his right-handed playing had hit the ceiling. He tried a lefty guitar and obviously couldn't play the same as right-handed, but he didn't give up, and after few months he reached a good level with his left-handed playing, too. He eventually improved his lefty playing and in short time he could play what as right-handed could not. So, if you have the chance and you are uncertain, play right and left-handed for a while. You may prefer one hand at some point.
  9. Everyday I need to get back to RR to nail the chorus, like I have never played it before.
  10. For a couple of days I can't play drop tunings, so focus on this one.
  11. @@PinKushin I recommend it too. The great thing is you don't even have to worry about octaves once a good setup is done. The only bad side is that if your volume is not high enough you hear the strings ringing and that may confuse you.
  12. I only need to tune in DropD, and the Drop pedal (thanks!) does the rest of the work. After the first run (77%) I was "this is hell", then I was brave enough to start the RR. It seems doable, must say. Learning moves to get the transitions and those chords.
  13. You get an extra point if difference between best run and Master Mode run is lower than 2% (rules say "score" but I assume it means "accuracy"). So you would get the point for the rhythm run (98.xx) but not for the bass run (96.xx against your 100%, also INT is not your class for bass, you couldn't get points for that song anyway). We need @Rodman to confirm everything and eventually edit the results.
  14. Reading the rules I should be promoted to MC Lead (accuracy => 97% for 3 weeks in a row). Well, maybe I am good enough not to be down-leveled back to ADV, to be honest, but I feel it's out of my league, players in MC are way more skilled than me. Do organizers decide in these situations? I just want to know which song is my Lead challenge this week. Thanks.
  15. Had my first guitar lesson yesterday. Homework is really boring. I think the teacher underestimated me, my first exercises are some slow rhythms (like 60-70 bpm) with E, Em, Am, C chords. Well, I am bad at chords, but not that much. Maybe I developed a horrible positioning with my hands in the past years and I have got to start from the beginning, for my health; I don't know. I didn't tell him we played more advanced things from Megadeth, Vektor, Tool, and many others. I can't play these as clean and accurate as I should, but come on, from the Championship to "first chords" is a good number of steps back. So, after my exercises I got back to RS, and improved:
  16. I tried MM, and... Then I improved the Hard %.
  17. Again, mistakes in the bends, most of them in the second half. With some more practice I will probably try MM.
  18. I like to play and let ring all E0's. It seems that playing it for real (for an audience, I mean) you should play the E0 before the A-string slide a little harder than the others (actually the others would be ghost notes maybe), but in RS you are risking a miss doing this way. I am afraid I don't fully understand your second question, but I try to answer: all notes here are distinct notes, as every note missed (all the E0 notes and all the A-strings notes) count as 1 miss. I meant am I supposed to release my fretting finger on A string as I play the note on E string, and then release fretting finger on E string as I play A string. But as I understand it from the songsterr tabs (although it's tabbed differently), I shouldn't release either of the strings unless I do the 16->14 slide, or move to 9th fret. Hopefully I managed to explain myself better this time. :P Now it's clear to me. And yes, I would let the notes ring unless I move my hand elsewhere.
  19. I like to play and let ring all E0's. 20. I think this could be an INT difficulty, but it's good anyway. I actually have the chance to refine my hands position (which is maybe normal to be incorrect since I am mostly self taught?) with an easier song than expected. And well, double-stop bends I can't really tell why half of them are "miss". I thought I was decent at playing them, but every time they show up the same problem occurs, so I'm starting to doubt of my technique. Got a 94% and forgot to take the screenshot. Not too bad, plenty of time to improve.
  21. Two more days at Dio's solo led to almost no improvement. I'll just leave it for a while, and return when my overall skills will increase. In the meantime:
  22. It's probably my favourite solo I'm working on since I joined the Championship. So addictive that I'm upset it doesn't sound good enough yet.
  23. Imgur doesn't allow me to upload my screenshot at the moment, so, back to the old way. Dio lead: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1496230245 Megadeth rhythm: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1496230156
