Yeah, just went through this and was able to produce a working custom! Great stuff man! I think my Problem was the 2016 version of WWise. In the other tutorial this wasn't explicitly writen. Installed the 2015 Version and everything's fine now. On another note. Is there a way to get a custom tone out of RS into the Toolkit? I created two with the Tone Designer and would like to include them with the song...

Ok, i'll try to make it short. I'm trying to make a CDLC. I found the stickied tutorial. Followed it to the word. Everything seems fine. But the Song won't play. It loads up in RS, but it doesn't roll forware. After 5 seconds or so, the songs "finishes" without ever starting the Audio and says 0% and 0 Notes played. Perhaps relevant Parts: EOF Version 1.8 RC12 Toolkit 2.8.0.0 3d133c61 Song was tested with wav and mp3 source Chart was created with GP7 and converted to GP5 with tux guitar The only EOF error is a slide with undefined target. It says it will be 1 fret automatically, which is fine. I left the Tones in the Toolkit to default to circumvent problems. Any Tipps on how to troubleshoot this?

From my experience, you need to watch the detune on attack. If your note goes sharp by a considerable amount on attack, RS has problems registering. Some amount of songs i play a Drop B, B Standard and even Drop A i think. With my regular 11-56 set on a LP they are doable if i watch the attack (lighter righthand). If i want to go crazy on those, i switch to my 8 string. This helps with recognition a ton. Though avoiding the unused strings and "transposing" what you see to the fretboard takes some getting used to...

I could never get rid of the lag really. That's why i switched to my kemper for all guitar sounds. No Latency and great tones ^_^

The first question would be whether Tux Guitar Tabs are compatible. While bringing everything up, i realized my GP license was expired. I'm not that keen on the new Version. I'll get it if i have to, but for my current needs Tux Guitar is sufficient. So, Tabs it is. In the good old Frets on Fire days i tabbed some stuff directly into EoF but appart from that, i have not done much tab work in there. Sounds like making tabs first will be faster.

Hey everyone, i've done some cldc's way back when. I now want to get back into it. For starters i want to do two of my own songs. Since i wrote and recorded them myself, there are currently no tabs available. My question is, would it be faster to create the tabs with guitar pro first and import them to EOF or do the charting in EOF directly and skipping the tab?

It's epic. Finally no Latency and epic sounds! Helps massively to get some timings locked in. I probably won't add new scores for this week, but am very excited for the next :D

After some rounds with the other songs i feel like we do have a really hard week :rolleyes: The Rythm Part of August burns Red feels way harder than 8... Maybe this song highlights my weeknesses, but this song needs rather fasts downpicking (hard to improve really) and constant Arpeggios/small sweeps. Same for the Lead part of The Black Mages. Compared to two weeks ago (Sorairo Days) the Solo parts are much longer and harder to play, especially the extended tapping parts... These songs will take some serious practice. Since my sister will marry this week, i don't think i'll find that much time, sadly :(

Jesus christ do i hate king crimson. I really don't want to offend anyone, and i know that this band has done major work for modern metal and progressive music, but this Song on Bass sounds like a 4 year old hacking away on the strings :unsure: I can not for the live of me feel the rythm or what this bassist was thinking while playing :huh: None the less, one go to have a score in. Not sure if it's still relevant. None the less: From my Headphone Selection there are only two i would buy tomorrow if they broke now: Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro's Sennheiser HD600 Both are the most comfortable Headphones. I Wear them at work for 9 hours straight without any fatigue. The Sennheisers are a little rounder/warmer in sound, the Beyer's have a bit more bass. Depending if you need isolation or not these would be my number one pick any day.

Have to agree with this. It's long, exactly the right amount of skill is needed and the lead lines are delicious. No Song brings me down while giving a feeling of accomplishment like Comfortably Numb!

Hey everyone, after trying to get the RS Latency down and down, i came to the conclusion it just won't work. So, i'm looking to replace the ingame guitar sound completely. How would you go about doing so? I figured, RS still needs the unprocessed Guitar Input for Recognition through the Realtone Cable. I then turn the Guitars volume down to zero. I now need to rout the PC's Audio out to the Headphones while mixing in my External Guitar Sound. I'd like to use my Kemper for sounds. My plan: Guitar -> Kemper Input Kemper Direct Out -> Realtone Cable PC Audio Out -> Kemper Aux In Has anyone tested such a solution? Any Input on how to get this to work with as low a Latency as possible?

Epiphone LP Custom from 2007. The first Guitar i bought with my own money. I guess i was lucky with mine. I purchased a MIM strat, a sterling JP, PRS SE24 and tried guitars between 300$ and 4000$, all with the intention to buy one. None came close. For me, more expensive guitars where always about looks. I just can't justify spending 3 grand for a nice finish. To this date i have not found a guitar that resonates and sustains like my LP. I have put a JB/Jazz set in it and am done. In a lucky accident i might have screwed the wiring up. I have two push-push-pots for splitting. The Neck by itself is really dull, but in the middle position with both HB's split i get a really convincing acoustic sound :lol: Through the Years i modified the finish (stripped the neck and top completely without refinishing). Also, since it got releveled twice, the frets are nice and low. I hate tall frets with a passion. No new guitar comes with frets that low. I fear the day when these can't be leveled again :( I often thought about upgrading the hardware (tone pros bridge, graphtech nut), but i'm at the point where i fear every modification might make it loose it's mojo. So, i fix whats broken and stopped searching for something better :wub:
