  1. I think I've had a comment or two that's disappeared into the void (clicking the post button goes through like normal, but the comment just never appears). I forget which one it was, but I definitely had a response to something that someone asked about that took a couple of tries to appear. Some others that didn't go through (I definitely tried posting a response on ...of Melancholy Burning, but it didn't go through.

One thing that may work is to try posting via the forum topics rather than the record pages, but those can be much harder to find unless the DLC was recently posted or commented on.

Thanks, I will give that a try.

  2. Cool, ty. I know of Trivium and they tend to be quite fun. Death metal as a music genre to me seems to be lacking something, though I do like a few select songs I hear occasionally so I will check out your recs. thanks again -)

    Glad I could help.

  3. OK so I have downloaded and played hundreds of cdlc but there is one song that wont show up in my song list, Death The Philosopher. I have downloaded it on multiple occasions but it never shows up in game. I would really appreciate some advice on what I can do to make it show up.

  4. I was wondering if anybody could point me towards any good metalcore/hardcore/etc songs/bands that we have available for download (I'm a bassist)

I keep track of the download list on a daily basis but there are still quite a few that sneak by somehow.

Any good songs or bands to search for on here?

I am always looking for new songs to jam with,

If its metal core you are after then look up trivium, there are a ton of their songs on here also there are two revocation songs if you like death core. Trivium songs are not very hard with a few exceptions same goes with revocation. If your looking for a challenge then Death (not metal core) has some of the hardest bass parts on this site, Steve Digiorgio is a beast. Also Gojira (also not metal core) is good for practicing three finger picking if you need to work on that. And finally decapitation is probably the hardest to play if you exclude the crazy Nosferatu by Coroner.

  5. For me I want to play in a band but that is very much a long time goal. I have played trombone for almost 9 years now and have only gotten in to bass over the past year. The only goal a musician can really strive for is to suck less lol.

  6. Maxwell Murder by Rancid, has an insane bass solo, as well as coffee shop by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Those two are probably the hardest customs out there for bass. Also check out A Wilhelm Scream especially The Horse. Rush, Chili Peppers, Primus, Iron maiden, can't go wrong with any of these. More suggestions to come later.

whoa that tapping lol, looks interesting

  7. Hi first forum post over here, after playing bass for almost a year I am having a hard time finding bass parts that are difficult and interesting enough to make me want  to play them. So if anyone could link me to technical death, progressive metal or anything that's difficult and interesting that would be great.

I am looking specifically for bass guitar.

    stuff i already have

all the Death songs (so amazing)

decapitated symmetry of zero (after 2 weeks of practice I am close to being able to play it proficiently.)

mastodon (some are boring but there a few fun tracks to play)

Opeth (these are a ton of fun to play)

    porcupine tree

born of Osiris (only one interesting song sadly)

so if you know of anything like these especialy decapitated and death please tell me, that would be awesome  thanks.
