jamtrackcentral.com is a website that not only offers jam tracks but also lead guitar recordings by an expanding roster of high profile guitarists. A lot of the material seems to be improvised by the players on the spot but there's certainly a few artists who also prepare some building blocks before actually recording their material. Either way, these tracks are a great opportunity to learn from fantastic guitar players around the world and to improve your lead guitar playing and soloing skills. Most of the material is suited for intermediate to advanced players but a handful of artists also offer tracks for novices. This thread will be a place to collect all tracks on CF that are available from JTC and can also serve as a platform for discussion about everything related to the website and their artists, as well as coordinating a possible JTC custom creation project. One of the things that I'm not sure about listing yet, is those JTC releases that present albums of their artists with full or partial transcriptions (like the ones that are already available from Guthrie Govan, i.e.), because they were not specifically produced for JTC and are not intended as learning material. It seems more reasonable to treat those as regular releases but I'm willing to discuss this. The list will be ordered alphabetically by the artists last name and also contain the name of the pack it belongs to, as well as the genre and difficulty information one can find on the website. It's split into three categories: tracks that are already released on CF and can be downloaded; tracks that are already in the process of being made into customs; tracks that are only planned and therefore reserved by a specific charter. Released will have links to the database entries and the name of the charter; WIP and Planned will also have the charters name, so all projects can be immediately associated with the appropriate person. I suggest not mass downloading customs, mostly because it makes it difficult to pinpoint eventual issues that might hang up your game. It would also be preferable to give feedback on every custom you download, either good or bad, because the people who create these invest time and effort into making them and deserve at least that much, even if the results are lackluster at times. If you just blindly download customs you will be hard pressed to go back to the appropriate thread and leave a response. It also helps the learning process to focus on a single track for a certain amount of time, trying to get the most out of it. It will help you determine the quality of the custom at the same time, so you'll be able to give better feedback because ideally you don't want to work off of a wrong or messy tab which will hinder you to become a better player or at least stop you from enjoying your favorite tune. CF is a community after all, not a platform for downloading customs and custom creation doesn't end with the initial release.

I have the three volume Allman Brothers Band songbook from Hal Leonard and I still plan to eventually put it to good use but atm I don't have much time and too many WIPs to get to it. I'd definitely like to see some more ABB DLC in the future, so I hope anyone is interested to help out here. :D

Nice one. This covers a few of the basic issues that a lot of customs have, so it's good to mention them, although I think there are other tutorials that already talk about this. It's an important topic though, so I think it's good to have another thread about this if it helps people to improve their custom creation skills.

I checked out my acoustic tone from Tin Man and just remembered how great it actually is. :D I always try to create new tones but I'll be using that one for the final version of Tubular Bells because it should work great there. Hey guys, I haven't been around much lately and I haven't posted a lot of stuff. The end of my studies is approaching and keeping me busy but my next custom is No. 200, so I'm finally releasing something that I've started working on in autumn last year: Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells (Part One) There were no usable tabs for the whole thing, so I transcribed the bass myself and then bavarezkd made a transcription of the guitar parts which I then overhauled again using multitracks I found online (they were only 16 mins long though, so I couldn't do that for the rest of the track). After further polishing the tabs and doing all the EoF work, tone creation and some initial testing today, I give you the first test version, so I can get some feedback from you guys. The tones aren't perfect but it's impossible to account for every tone change with just four tone slots, so some manual labor on your guitar knobs and switches is unavoidable, I'm afraid. :D I had some trouble with handshape phrases that I used for the arpeggio sections (which I use because the actual arpeggio phrases look really confusing in RS), so I deleted them for now. It might work like that as well but I'd prefer it to get the handshape phrases to function correctly. Anyway, I haven't tested this particular version yet because I need to attend to other matters atm but I think it should play and sound better than my previous (tested) version. Let me know if that is indeed the fact.

Any chance of a new Mac build? It's been a while and there have been a lot of big changes in recent time. :)

@PC Plum You didn't just come in with the mail either but because some of the articles are good I pick you up once in a while and to be honest, I much rather work on anything Rory Gallagher than the other stuff you want me to do. :lol: So, give me the song names and I tell you which one I'll work on in my spare time.

If I had the time I would help out with the bass but you know how my promises to transcribe bass for you end up, so I better not dig my hole any deeper :lol:

That would be cool, apart from the fact that RB works with multitracks, so you'll only have the full experience when you have access to that (no freestyle solos i.e.). Should still be fun though but I'll have to re-chart most songs, no doubt.

@@Rockfirstlast I do hope so. Sadly I bought all my DLC on the XBox, so I won't have any of that which is a big issue.

My recommendation would be "Whiplash" if none of you have seen that yet. I think, that's a movie every musician should see and when you do, you'll know why.
