DD is pointless imo. When the difficulty increases you often have to readjust your fingering. You're better off learning with 100% difficulty and slowing the speed down to a manageable level then increasing the speed as you go. a much better way of learning songs imo.

I don't think that Germany have much chance of winning it. They may get to the Final (because Neymar has carried Brazil this far practically on his own and is out for the rest of the competition), but the forward players from both Argentina and the Netherlands should tear their slow defenders to pieces. Way too much pace for them to handle imo. Argentina would have to be major favourites to win the World Cup, Di Maria and Messi should be enough to beat any side left in the competition...including the Netherlands, worst luck for me lol :mrgreen:

Well you never know. We're in the knockout stages now so anything can happen lol. On their day I think Costa Rica are capable of beating any one of the sides left, they've got a decent keeper and a good goalscorer in Campbell. This World Cup is a really odd one so far, you usually have games played a lot more defensively and as a result you normally get the lower quality sides knocked out of the competition by now...but this World Cup we've seen open games and plenty of attacking football, drama and excitement. Definitely possible for Costa Rica to win it, they're just 3 matches away from lifting the trophy...although it's not very likely lol This is by far the best World Cug I've ever seen, and I'm an old git (44 in October!) so I've seen a good few lol. :-P :mrgreen:

I'm Harv, originally from Broadstairs in Kent and moved to London when I was 19 and have been here ever since. Am going to be 43 on October 28th. Started playing the bass guitar and acoustic guitar when I was 16, didn't do much with them until I joined a band in London in 1995, playing the bass in a Punk band playing original material. Left them around 3 years later because they weren't keen on doing many gigs and because one week I wrote and played a song that I had written and they told me we couldn't do it because it sounded too much like an Iron Maiden song. The next week one of the guitarists said he had written a song, played it and it was pretty much the same song I had written the previous week. Everyone said it was great and we should work on it. Told them to fuck off after that lol. Joined another band that played a couple of covers (Highway Star and Sonic Reducer) and highly Sabbath influenced original material. Much more my cup of tea. Band split up because the drummer bottled it, he wasn't keen on doing gigs and left just before we were going to do a demo that we were going to send out to get gigs. Drummers with their own kits that are decent are a rare commodity and things fizzled out after he quit. Had financial problems and had to sell both of my bass guitars and acoustic and didn't play for ages, probably around 13 years. Watched E3 in 2012 (I think?) and saw Rocksmith 2014, looked interesting. Bought myself a DIY guitar kit for 50 quid and bought the first Rocksmith to test the water, then discovered Smithy's Anvil and cDLC. The rest is history. Haven't played for a while though, need to get back to things soon!

Just a four months ban. Nine international games and nine club games. Nowhere near enough. It's only a matter of time before he does this again. And that fine is a fucking joke too, that's just spare change for a player earning as much as he does. Good to see the US go through this evening, they've played some great football so far.

I was thinking of putting together a piece of cDLC to help people create scale maps using a method called The Hopscotch Method. I'm guessing that I can have different keys for the different difficulty levels..? And then allow people to change the speed themselves..? If I do things that way then you can have different keys and different BPMs in one piece of cDLC, right..? No idea how this all works tbh, have started work on a song but thought I'd be better off doing something simpler to begin with whilst I get used to messing around with EOF lol Am planning on doing one for each scale and was thinking about doing them with just a Metronome sound in the background. Should I link to them here when done or should I upload them to the database..?

I've got a 100% accurate tab for Al Stewart's Roads To Moscow but it's a Power Tab file. Can I import this into Guitar Pro or will I have to manually put the notes and chords into EOF myself..? All of the tutorials I've seen here involve importing from Guitar Pro files. Just to get me started how do I set things up for Eb standard tuning..? Is it via the Beat menu and changing the Key Signature? Another thing is that the song starts in 90 bpm but there's a trail of noise before the song starts for a split second so when I set everything up things are a little out of synch. Is there a program I can use to edit the beginning of the song so that it starts properly..? Thanks in advance for any help! It's a really easy song to play so shouldn't take me long to get the Rhythm Guitar part done once I've started...not sure if I'm brave enough to attempt the rest though lol :mrgreen: Edit: Here's a picture of it. Wow, looks great! How much did it cost you to put it together..? You should be able to sell them if you advertised or did a deal with a guitar shop. You can get decals to put on the headstock from eBay as well as engraved neck plates.

If it's a bolt-on neck you can just buy a new neck. Much cheaper than buying a new guitar. Just make sure you buy the right neck otherwise your intonation will be off.

How broken is broken..? It could be repairable maybe?

I can't seem to get it to work with the Rocksmith cable. How did you do it? Thanks! If I remember correctly you just plug it in and away you go. Are you getting any sound at all out of it..? And does the cable work okay with Rocksmith..?
