  1. Wonder why the crowd didn't sing along to the Star Spangled Banner..? Very odd.
  2. De Gea M Keane Jones Evans Valencia Fletcher Herrera Young Mata Roonster Welbeck Good to see Michael Keane getting a start. All of our young defenders have done great so far. B)
  3. Should beat them I think, there's no Ronnie as far as we know...but they are playing for pride so you never know, they could surprise us. No idea of the lineups yet.
  4. Just watching MUTV waiting for the Real Madras match to start and they had an advert featuring a clip from Giggsy's first press conference when he took over as manager last season where he jokes about him having just given himself a new 5 year contract. Still makes me laugh out loud when I see it lmfao
  5. I just use a finger for each fret across 4 frets and if the box stretches across 6 frets I use an Index Shift (stretching your index finger to reach the lower notes) and a Pinky Shift (stretching your pinky finger to reach the higher notes) to hit the notes outside the 4 frets.
  6. I'd always go for a Floyd Rose guitar myself as long as you have a Tremol-No handy. Floyd Rose trems are a great deal of fun, doing racing car sounds never gets old :D
  7. Blimey, totally missed that! Am guessing that Ronnie didn't play..? So if Roma beat Inter and we win or draw then we go through, but if we get beat and Roma win then they'll go through. Unless we get knocked out on goal difference..? Edit: Whoops! Forgot about that daft penalties thing, it's 1 point for a penalty defeat, not a draw! A good second half, both teams looking dodgy at the back though. Penalties it is! Blimey, looks like City need to practice their penalties lol. 2 points for Liverpool, 1 point for City.
  8. Yup, have got a stream going now. Going to be a grudge match whoever makes it through lol
  9. Can't wait, going to be interesting to see what Van Gaal does with regards to tactics tomorrow. If he wants to continue getting the players used to playing 3-4-3 then he'll carry on with it, but if he wants to pretty much guarantee winning the game he should play 4-5-1 and have Jones in midfield man-marking Ronnie the way Fergie did years ago.
  10. I'm really liking the way that United have been playing since Van Gaal took over. We played Inter last night, it ended 0-0 and we won on penalties. Our passing movement is back, we're playing with plenty of width again, we're retaining possession again and once we've lost possession we're pressing well and tend to get the ball back quickly for the most part. We're looking pretty solid at the back again despite changing our back three regularly and are keeping our opponent's chances to a bare minimum, and most of those chances are from outside the goal area. Real Madras next on Saturday, I quite like the way these fixtures have been arranged...they've been getting progressively more difficult as our US tour hasggone along - LA Galaxy < Roma < Inter < Real Madras.
  11. Location Tottenham. Check. ;) Yup, and I'm originally from Kent lol. But like I said I've been supporting United since I was 5 years old in 1976 so my time at school was a bloomin nightmare with mainly Liverpool supporters springing out of the woodwork the way United supporters have been since the 90s lol. Glad that my loyalty has been rewarded with success though! I can see Van Gaal continuing our impressive record of United not going longer than one season without a trophy since 1990 next season. Either the Premiership or one of the Domestic Cups. Next United pre-season match is up tonight, Inter Milan. Will be weird seeing Vidic not wearing a United shirt though!
  12. After my World Cup thread I started you may have guessed that I love my footy! The new season starts next month and I can't wait!!! Who do you guys support..? I'm a United supporter, and in my defence I was supporting them in the 70s and 80s when we were shite so am no glory hunter lol  Am glad that we got rid of Moyes, I (like many United fans!) was giving him the benefit of the doubt for so long but it was clear that he was not only tactically inept but that he stopped United playing our usual fast-paced, positive, attacking and counter attacking football and had to go. Now Van Gaal is here and we're back to playing our usual positive football again, albeit with a different formation - playing 3-4-3 instead of our usual 4-4-2. I've seen our first two pre-season friendlies against LA Galaxy (won 7 - 0, goals from the Roonster (2), Welbeck, James (2) and Young (2)) and Roma (won 3 - 2, goals from the Roonster (2) and Mata) and have been impressed so far. We've already signed Herrera and Shaw who have both looked good during pre-season so far and I reckon we'll sign another 3 or 4 players before the transfer window closes - Vidal, Di Maria, Blind and Vermaelen. Am also hoping that he's going to give some of our yoof players a chance at first team action too. Reece James especially is looking fantastic. :D
  13. Definitely the best World Cup I've ever seen...and being 43 in October I've seen more than a lot of people. :D :P :D
  14. Shame you live in the US, otherwise I'd recommend you getting some Polaroid 2.1 PC speakers from Asda. I got some a while back, only cost me around 12 quid at the time, and I've been really surprised at how good they sound for the price they are. Have got them attached to my TV instead of a sound bar and they sound great.
  15. He has issues. I think he needs professional help. I don't agree that he should be banned for life, he is one of the best of the world football "attackers" :P He's already sought professional help after the second biting incident and the racism when he was at Liverpool. How many times is he going to need to do this before he gets banned for good..? 4 times? 5? 6? He's going to carry on doing this because he's beyond help. And every time he does this he puts the 'bitees' at risk from potential bacterial infection, HIV and hepatitis.
  16. Suzy Quattro. I used to love Suzy Quattro. Not what she's looking like these days though. She's probably 20 stone and wrinkly these days lol
  17. I tried listening to white noise but it didn't help for some reason so used to listen to the radio instead to drown out the bloomin thing. I'm on medication at the moment which makes me drowsy so I just take it and watch Netflix on my Wii U GamePad until I drop off.
  18. Well I reckon any single females living in London should check me out. As you can see from my avatar pic I'm not the best looking bloke in the world, I'm having some health problems after getting bitten by someone and I've started to really like raw meat but I'm sure this issue will sort itself out sooner or later...
  19. Best way is to tune it from the back if you don't have a Tremol-No: I would recommend you get a Tremol-No though, makes changing strings A LOT easier if you change them in Hardtail Mode. It's an essential gadget for anyone with a Floyd Rose guitar imo. B) Edit: And you can still use the Floyd Rose trem both ways with a Tremol-No too. You have 3 modes available - Full Floating Mode (which allows you to use the trem both ways as if the Tremol-No isn't connected), Dive Only Mode (which only allows you to push the trem down) and Hardtail Mode (which basically turns your Strat/Superstrat into a hardtail guitar like a Les Paul or SG).
  20. I actually prefer the sound of an LP to a CD or MP3 myself. Not because the sound quality is better but because of the imperfections like the slight crackle you get when listening to them. Gives it more character imo. Haven't got a record player anymore though. The guy talking about MP3s in the video wasn't right about me personally and MP3s. When I listen to MP3s on my MP3 player when out and about I always listen to entire albums at a time rather than listen to a couple of tracks here and a couple of tracks there.
  21. What REALLY winds me up about CDs in shops is the way they sit on the shelves - with the face of the CD facing you. This means that if you're looking for a particular album that you need to search through the whole lot, flicking through them. This also used to wind up Bill Oddie, who used to be on the telly with The Goodies years ago. He used to DJ on Jazz FM here in the UK in the 90s and mentioned that it annoyed him too. He then told us listeners that he went into HMV the day before, went to the Jazz section and turned every single CD around so that the spines of the CDs were facing you, making it easier to look through them for a specific album, and said he would do exactly the same thing every time he went in there lol. It was a great show he had but I think he lost his job because he refusedto play the stuff he didn't like on the official playlist that the station got paid to air...and he also used to speak his mind a fair bit too lol. His show was great because he used to dedicate his show every week to a particular instrument or artist. So you had 3 hours of top guitarists, bassists, drummers, singers or individuals. The best show he did was dedicated to the drummer Steve Gadd and I recorded it but lost the tapes because some wanker stole them :(
  22. Nice! Got myself an RP255 a while back and it's awesome. Only cost me £120 too. The variety of sounds you can get out of it is ridiculous! No idea about the RP1000 though. Next pedal for me is going to be one of the following: an Electro Harmonix Ravish Sitar, Electro Harmonix Superego or will spend an arm and a leg on a Line 6 Pod HD500X.
