  1. Thanks for the feedback. Have added another track called Luciana which is a Jazz Funk song in Cm. Forgot to provide a link to Rufus and Luciana! All of the chord progressions for all of my songs can be found here and all of the audio my songs can be found here. That's a cool site @@firekorn thanks for that. I normally just go for the pentatonic and blues scales myself, makes life a lot less complicated :P B)
  2. Here's number 3. Got fed up with the key of Am so thought I'd go for G#. Another Jazz/Funk one called Fundamental Journey with a bit more pace to it, here's the chords: http://i.imgur.com/ihklycY.jpg Sorry for the triple-posting but the images in these posts is making things difficult when editing. Please let me know either on here or with comments on Soundcloud what you think of them. This third one is in m4a format but should still play in most media players. I decided to upload straight to Soundcloud using Band In A Box to save myself from converting things. :P :) :P Edit: Looks like having text after the image solves my problem! Number 4 is called 'Rufus, The Cool Cat' and is a jazz swing number in Gb. Here's the chords: http://i.imgur.com/j2aB5q2.jpg So this thread has had 45 views and no feedback yet..? :(
  3. And here's number 2, this second one is actually the first one I started writing and the second one I ended up finishing. This one's called Manhattan and is a laid back jazz/funk song. Here's the chord progressions: http://i.imgur.com/xVNRjpZ.jpg Hope you enjoy them, please feel free to add your own jam tracks to this thead - the more the merrier!!! :) :D
  4. Just thought it would be cool to have a thread for Jam Tracks. Here's one I quickly wrote and created using the awesome Band In A Box, a Texas Blues song called Autumn Breeze. You can listen to it and download it from here. I'll be doing these regularly I think so hopefully this is the first of many. The chord progression can be seen below: http://i.imgur.com/uGJuBfq.jpg
  5. Saw Al Stewart at the Royal Albert Hall tonight and he and the band were awesome!
  6. It's been approved now, link is here
  7. I've made an edit to the preview picture so they've taken it off before they approve the change I made. I'll let you know when it's back up again (should be within 48 hours I think). Changed the preview pic to show just the 8 bit Metroid because it stands out more. :)
  8. A shameless plug here lol I've designed a t-shirt and submitted it to TeeFury. They didn't like it :( So then I sent it to Qwertee and it got approved! :D Unfortunately the way that site works is that they only print these things if they get enough votes so I need all the help I can get! Could you all please visit Qwertee here and vote for Y Can't Metroid Crawl by thesnowdog if you get a chance, and get your friends, family, pets and anyone you meet in the street to vote too..? lol Ta! :) http://i.imgur.com/0FiZHQz.jpg
  9. That's easy to solve - quit your job and kick the missus out lol :o  You should take a look at some of the tutorials on YouTube, it's all pretty overwhelming when you first look at it but the tutorials really do simplify things. Going to be a few days before I get mine but I reckon I can do the basics now.
  10. Wasn't too sure where to put this thread but thought here is as good a place as any. Has anyone tried Band In A Box..? Am looking for an alternative to Session Mode because I'm fed up with the band in Session Mode stopping when you stop playing and want more control over what the band is playing too. Band In A Box looks like exactly what I'm looking for. You basically just input key, the BPM, the chords you want the band to play, select a style of music and you're good to go. Was just wondering if anyone has had a chance to play around with it..? Have seen a few tutorials on YouTube and it looks pretty good.
  11. Shame you can't get a guitar that folds up to a quarter of its size lol
  12. Yup, cheers for that but I already knew that. Looks like uninstalling and reinstalling on a different drive has done the trick. Will have to check out that hard drive for errors now. I tend to go through hard drives pretty quickly because I leave my PC on 24/7 lol.
  13. Well a complete fucking disaster for us today, 1-3 up and Battenberg gives a game changing dodgy penalty away...and we ended up falling apart and getting beat 5-3. What a fucking embarrassing result. And another injury at the back too. Bloody typical :(
  14. Yup, first thing I tried. Also tried the second dll file too as well as the launcher thingy but still no dice. Have now tried uninstalling it completely and installing it on another drive. Hopefully that's going to solve the problem. Haven't played the game or my guitar for a while and just started again yesterday. Have had a new telly since I last played it and got some video lag which is annoying but can sort that out with the options if I remember correctly. Got no audio lag though which is the main thing!
  15. Has there been an update or something that's broken cDLC..? Have tried deleting and replacing that dll file and still no dice. The game crashes after the whitel splashscreen when it clears the screen and starts loading, leaving a white screen and the Rocksmith loading icon in the bottom right hand side of the screen. The bloomin thing was working fine yesterday too. Anyone else having a problem..? If not, can anyone think how I can get things working again..? Many thanks in advance!
  16. The best way to learn stuff (with or without Rocksmith) is to do it in small sections. Riff Repeater is perfect for this. But if you're using Rocksmith you must play your guitar in a variety of ways - un-amplified, with effects, without effects and at different volumes. This allows you to hear how your technique is coming along.
  17. I started off playing the bass, mainly due to me going round a mate's house after school and playing various Police songs on his setup. Got my own bass and amp about a year later and then got myself an acoustic guitar about 6 months after that. An early guitar solo that always used to float my boat was the one in Another Brick In The Wall Part 2 but I haven't thought about playing the lead guitar until I started to get into Rocksmith, I was always interested in rhythm guitar before that because I didn't have the confidence.
  18. No probs, you lot are welcome to our rejects any day :P Seriously though, he'll do well there as long as he gets a regular starting place. I've always rated him, particularly his pace and work off the ball. You'll see him scoring and being actively involved in plenty of goals.
  19. Well that's the transfer window done and dusted. Happy with United's transfer dealings this Summer: IN Shaw Herrera Rojo Timothy Mensah A 17 year old Serbian keeper who's name I've forgotten Blind Di Maria Falcao (year loan with option to buy) OUT Michael Keane (loan) Nick Powell (loan) Hernandez (loan with option to buy) Lawrence Welbeck No Vidal, so it's looking like Van Gaal is happy with Blind playing in the position he earned his Netherlands Player Of The Year award for until we sign, or attempt to sign, Strootman in January. Once everyone is fit I can see Van Gaal having the following first choice lineup: De Gea Jones Smalling Rojo Di Maria Blind Herrera Shaw Mata Roonster Falcao I still think we could have done with another central defender but there weren't that many quality central defenders available to buy. Could be that a bid in January for Hummels is on the cards. Once those players above get used to the new formation, new tactics and most importantly the new passing movement that side above could be capable of winning the Premiership this season, assuming that we don't drop too many more points during the next month or two.
  20. Those sitting down whilst playing may find it useful to sit with your legs slightly apart and have the guitar resting between your legs, 'classical style'. Why..? Because when sitting in this way with your back straight this brings the neck and body of the guitar in the exact same position that they would be in if you were standing up and using a guitar strap. :)
  21. Sounds good but it's a little too 'busy'. You could also do with more vibrato and bends I think. If you have a watch of the guy called McsLk17, that's linked to the right of your video, that's doing some guitar work to (I think?) the same backing track you can hear the difference that well placed silence, bends and vibrato can make. Just a bit of constructive criticism there, hope you don't mind! :)
  22. Well the Roonster had a bad game for once, and I don't think Van Persil is 100% fit. These things happen in local derbies though. We've only won a third of our games at Turf Moor. Plenty of positives to take from the match though - our passing has improved, as has our build up play. We kept a clean sheet too.
  23. 0-0 final score. Not a bad performance, Burnley away has always been a tough fixture for United being a local derby. Di Maria had a pretty good game but took a knock and was taken off as a precaution. The Roonster had a bad game for once and Van Persil isn't quite fit yet. Watching MUTV I can see a few people getting frustrated but a great deal of people don't understand that Van Gaal has made fundamental changes to United's formation, tactics and passing movement and that it's going to take time for the players to get used to things.
  24. Team selection for United today: De Gea Jones Evans Blackett Valencia Fletcher Di Maria Young Mata Roonster Van Persil I reckon when Herrera is fit we'll see Di Maria playing as a left wing back, when Shaw is fit we'll see him playing as a right wing back.
