  1. im pretty sure you can unpack the songs.psarc and prune out the songs you dont want.. ive been wanting to do the same exact thing your mentioning for the same reasons! i'll keep poking at it, and let ya know if i find a real solution. perhaps someone smarter than i (leaving myself WIDE open) could weigh in on this?
  2. Is this long quote necessary? No it isn't Was this bit of quote relevant to the point I'm making? Yet it is. Point being. When quoting someone just quote the part that you really really need there. Otherwise if you just want to address someone use the @Mention function. In other cases if a post gets edited it's because of someone breaking our rules. Should you disagree with an edit feel free to pm the one responsible for it. but .. Tein!! long quotes makes my post bigger :D
  3. While i wouldn't condone the editing of a post in the forums. I can see why an admin/mod would edit a posted custom in the database, such as for spelling mistakes, capitalization or punctuation, things that would not change the post, but only serve to enhance its readability.
  4. personally, i think it would be better to link it to the steam store, but .. i can understand why we dont. since we officially support all platforms, it would seem that were picking on psn if we link to their competitor :P
  5. I just keep my cdlcs in a seperate folder .. but yeah .. the option would be nice, great suggestion!
  6. i would really LOVE to be able to fully customize the name generated, adding optional fields like artisttitleDDRRLRBVversioncharterit would also be nice if this app had a gui so that i could more easily specify which files to rename, and which files to leave alone. all in all though .. excellent app! i wrote a shell script that reads metadata and renames .. but this is MUCH faster/easier to use :D

    Amps!

    Amps!

fender makes some of the best amps in the world ..and would work wonderfully with rocksmith .. with that said do NOT ever plug the realtone cable into a line out, the current is wrong, and best case scenario, you will fry the cable, or worse, fry the usb port on your pc (dont ask how i learned this) :P i use a ABY splitter box to split the guitar/bass signal to the amp, and to rocksmith. its a generic version of the Morley ABY switch, it only needs power if you want the leds to work, otherwise it is passive and 100% sonically transparent. it has the added bonus of letting me keep my realtone cable tucked out of harms way. guitar cables are cheap to replace, and easy to repair, the RS cable isnt. here is a pic of my pedalboard, the aby switch can be seen at the top right side. feel free to pm me with any questions.. im more than happy to help anyway i can http://media.musiciansfriend.com/is/image/MMGS7/ABY1-Guitar-Footswitch/423062000000000-00-750x750.jpg
  9. Mediafire uses progressive throttling.. if you download only a few files, you wont see a decrease in speed, but once you start mass downloading mediafire responds by increased use of captchas and eventually throttling the speed to near 5kps. One way ive found to get around this is to use a proxy such as hola (not that hola is that great)

    Amps!

just be careful with plugging the RS cable into the amp ... if the signal is too hot, it could easily fry your cable, or worse the usb slot! (dont ask how i know this :( )
  11. I use a morley ABY switch, it lets me use my own amplifier so i have zero lag, and my RS cable is safely tucked away out of harms way.

    Amps!

niiice! a friend of mine recently got an endorsement deal with budda amps ... they sound amazing! here is his vid he made for budda
  13. I am doing exactly this. I have my guitar going through my pedalboard and into my marshall halfstack, my signal chain is a bit more complicated than it needs to be for rocksmith alone, feel free to pm me for details. iz
  14. it was on june 4, 1978 one of my best friends had just gotten a van halen album .. that first A5 chord on eruption made my hair stand on end .. and i havent been able to comb it down ever since!
  15. here ya go https://www.dropbox.com/s/1d9xp76wro9cv7q/Mark%20Tremonti%20-%20So%20Youre%20Afraid%20%28Pro%29.gp5?dl=0
  16. ok .. i'll reply to this in a few days then ... i guess see ya on the other side!
  17. The SG is a shorter scale guitar, and would benefit from the heavier guage strings more.
  18. Problem with categorizing music by genres is, there are hundreds of genres, and it is mostly subjective. such as .. how would someone categorize ACDC ? rock? classic rock? metal? hard rock?. A possible way around this, is to not only have a single genre. but perhaps 3 genres that the uploader can choose from when they enter their CDLC into the database.
  19. This is very cool, but just a note .. you could just do frets 1-12, since it repeats after that ;)
  20. lol this almost looks like someone copied part of my collection. i have almost 180k tabs total, i'll grab these and add them to mine .. thanks!
  21. I have this exact same amp, and havnt noticed a problem with sustaining high notes. the guitars im using are an ibanez rg with inf3 pickups (cheap as hell), schecter loomis with emg707 active pups, and an ibanez universe prototype with seymour duncan custom wound pickups (basically SH8 invaders... but for 7 string).
  22. The song difficulty is calculated automatically by the toolkit when the dlc is created. having a difficulty rating based on this would be a nice addition to the search, and site as a whole. Since the difficulty rating is generated by the toolkit, and not a person, it would not be subjective. However there would be multiple difficulty ratings, one for each track.
  23. i converted the tab to 6 string for you .. its here https://www.dropbox.com/s/03b6og9ctaf63qf/Delain%20-%20The%20Tragedy%20Of%20The%20Commons%20%28Pro%29.gp5
