  1. The site has TLS enabled but not by default. If you put https:// before the domain (e.g. "https://customsforge.com")then you'll see that the connection is now secure For the record, if a website says "not secure" it doesn't necessarily means there's any problem, just that the connection isn't encrypted. Thanks for clearing that up!
  2. I checked the search option but couldn't find an answer to this.
  3. doe-ray- me- far- so- la- tee- doe!? Empty Garbage Before Dad Flips? Every Good Boy Does Fine? No but the tuner in the lower right hand corner of the pause menu will.
  4. Sometimes if the cdlc creator also uploads a demo video of the cdlc, I play that from my phone via the youtube app.
  5. I just keep a different guitar setup for each tuning that I play, haha. Too bad I didn't know about this option before I bought a ton of guitars! Ah who am I kidding? You can never have enough axes laying around.
  6. I appreciate some of the music, theatrics and sense of humor of this band, but I just can't get past the singing... And now the dancing.. To each their own though.
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elakhX-Qw_A&list=PLJt74Q9QYoEL7zfZlomKs2vjxXfXqrxG4 What do you guys think? Norwegian Black metal, \m/\m/ Personally I like it a lot, only one song I am kind of "meh" on. A lot of the black metal purists don't like it, but most of them stop listening to Dimmu through the years as the line up changed. There is quite a bit of Dimmu on the custom forge too! Check out their songs on here they are all really fun to play. Maybe someone will upload some new songs off of this new album, I have the links to several tabs already if any charter is interested on a side note.
  8. Close our eyes to the octopus ride.....
  9. I was born in 82' and remember the movie. Thought it was cheese, lol. Probably didn't make it very far into it.
  10. :DDegoLocc lmfao!!! You seriously didn't know that Jeff was blind did you? Hahahaha! someone UPLOAD WHEN THE NIGHT COMES FALLING! Nope, can't say I did, lol. I just thought he was trying to be "hip" and start a new trend that never took off, haha.
  11. Pretty Impressive, but he looks like an idiot, and would look way cooler playing the guitar standing up correctly. A guitarist as proficient as Dimebag Darrel could easily play what Jeff did in that video, and he could play it normally on the guitar and jump around stage the whole time he did it, piss drunk. Also your video reminded of the style of playing the slide guitar like the great legendary David Gilmour.
  12. As a consumer and fan of VR I wish they would/could implement this somehow. I know most wouldn't but I would buy a special guitar if it showed what I was fingering and my handshapes in VR. It could def help those with stage freight I would think if the crowd looked remotely present and realistic.
  13. Only chords I know from muscle memory are power chords, and the occasional random E minor or G... Seems to get me by just fine for most metal songs. Lol. I'm speaking of hand shapes without looking at the neck of course... when I try to solo I or play individual single notes I look at what I am doing. But yeah, as stated, practice, practice, practice. In my limited experience anything or any song you play enough can be learned to a point that you just play it without thinking if you practice it enough. That includes of course, hand shapes.
  14. But my ears say to me a Chord does not sound the same if you pick it from the thinnest string to the thickest one, than if you do it from the thickest one to the thinnest. Or maybe thats bad fretting or picking on my part  Depends on the song honestly and how it was originally played/recorded. For instance, making an F5 shaped power chord, then doing all down strokes will sound more "chunkier" then up/down/up/down. But then you also have galloping picking. And that has it's own distinct sound too. As a general guide, most metal that has a lot of "chugging" or "chugs" will have mostly all down strokes (ie: Metallica, Pantera, Sepultura, ect.). While metal like iron maiden is a great example of having a lot of galloping, because it sounds like a horse galloping. There are many ways to "gallop", but the standard gallop picking pattern which can be done on single strings OR power chords is down(micro pause), down, up, down. The micro pause is basically created by the time it takes to get your pick back up to the low E string without picking or strumming any other stings on the way back up that first rotation. Then you have picking up/down/up/down/up/down/up/down in a rapid succession. This is called tremolo picking, and makes a very cool "humming" sounds when done correctly with an open unmuted string or chord. This is used a lot in Black Metal acts such as Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon or Mayhem. Tremolo picking can also be performed on just one string also, muted or unmuted and is used in a TON of Death Metal acts such as Deicide, Vile, or Vital Remains as examples. Disclaimer I am hardly a pro(less than 3 years in), and probably not even a competent player by most measures, but all I play is metal, and mostly rhythm, so that is all I can really speak on. But just experiment and play around with different picking and you will start to learn how the sound of the songs you listen too are performed, mostly just by the sounds. I can definitely hear the difference between up and down picking. I too prefer to down stroke a single chord that is left to ring out, but I see a lot of guys go out of their way to strum a chord up to achieve the different sound. Most of the professional players I like, hardly strum a single chord up, mostly down, but maybe it's just because I play metal.
  15. If you are still active I would love to see some more Dimmu Borgir on here and ANY song from Vital Remains-Icons of Evil, or ANYTHING from Deicide-In the Minds of Evil. Thanks.
  16. Thanks guys, now I remember.
  17. Since the remastered release there was the 100% bug fix, I remember using it at one time, however I haven't downloaded any old (pre remastered) songs in a while, but now that I have I cannot remember how or find it using the forum search for the particular fix.. Also I noticed there is no fast easy to find links to this fix or the initial CLDC broken from remastered fix anymore. There used to be one on the banner however it seems impossible to find anymore, any help would be appreciated, thanks. Also maybe consider putting it on the front home page somewhere so idiots like me can't miss it :P
  18. They lost me as a listener with anything after the black album. Load and reload are terrible... maybe if the music was from another band, but from Metallica one would expect more. Anyhow, I haven't given them a chance since. Should I?
  19. What if we don't use the CFSM? I always just dl the track and install it myself and play my favorites through rocksmith. Should I be using the CFSM?>
  20. So I read through this and am still lost at how to fix the 100% bug... it's something we need to do on our end to each song? And if that is the case can someone link to a place where those of us retarded people(who don't know shit about computers and can barely get customs to work BEFORE remastered ruined everything), can semi easily get back up and running with simple brain dead step by step instructions for idiots like me?
  21. @@firekorn That's good to hear, so it should be a semi simple fix? Edit, seen the fix was in place, awesome!
