Justin's exercice is pretty good, gets your muscle memory up to par for chords.If you are bored at work and dont have a guitar, this is what pianists sometime do: they find a table and put their pinky and thumb against the edge, and then they push their hand towards the table which pushes the thumb and pinky apart. You can try doing this with other fingers as well. It seems like it works as my wife is a pianist and started doing those exercises to reach across octaves on a piano. She has smaller hands than me and has an easier time reaching across the frets than I do.

bo3bber I never thought of it that way with 2012. The crowd members always freaked me out and I always visioned the girls and guys being idiots lol. To me I get much more out of 2014, since it is easier for me to play what I want when I want.With bandfuse, I was interested in it. But when it slapped things on like "Rock Legends", I just felt it was too gimmicky. I wanted something fun but also serious. I heard they had good things in learning licks and such, I would like that as licks are my weakest part.

I had some problem with open notes with my guitar. The volume is high enough enough, I think the frequency drift/width is just too much. I think it is because I didn't wrap the string enough around the peg and it can slip a little.

I am not fast at all yet, but I am improving. My suggestion is to pick lower on the guitar where the strings have less room to flex, so the pick "bounces" off of them rather than get "stuck." Since I am a rookie, I could be speaking BS, but it helped me.

In rocksmith the video wasn't too clear for me and I havent seen many clear videos when holding a pick. I hold it the same way MartyV does, and I think this makes sense, especially when doing things like "pinch mutes". I can do palm mutes, but im still not too fast with them.

Luckily the graphics card I have allowed me to put Rocksmith on maximum, and for some reason I can even reduce the latency below normal (despite my processor being old). With that said, I have used similar things with old computers to help speed things up. Looks like this one is free, which is great, and no one has complained much about it yet. Anyone try the screen cast?

Open source sounds really cool. I also wonder if a rating system would work?
