  1. Starting scores I didn't know this before, these melodic riffs remind me of Iron Maiden. Very nice!.
  2. The answer is simple, but I don't know if it will make you happy. You won because you were one of 2 participants in the beginner bass class. The rest of players are competing in higher classes and their beginner score was just for fun. In the intermediate class it won't be so easy if you take a promotion.
  3. It's going to be a good week. I have tested each of these songs and they are all fun to play. The genres are vary as well, from more pop/dance at the lower classes to heavier vibes in the high classes. We also have another song from our friend @ fripponomic band - good again! I added a 3-week GoG/GoR/GoB competition. The Seventh Wonder song is not a full album but a long 30-minute composition, so I decided that 3 weeks was the right time for this. Have a nice week!
  4. Whis week is over! Thank for competing, great competition, keep it up! New week started here:

  6. New championship week will start in about 2 hours.
  7. This is how I tried to motivate you, because you usually don't improve your first scores, and as you can see, I succeeded
  8. Guitar improvements I thought 96% is a good score, but the competition is at a high level! I don't like this combination of chords on the D and G strings alternating with the E string. Recognition is poor there, unfortunately. It should probably be moved 1 string down (in Rocksmith up) and 5 frets higher.
  9. Bass I really like bass charts from Marillion, fun to play! I played both versions of CDLC. I recommend playing this one with only bass: https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/50837 This is perhaps slightly more difficult, but the chart contains more details and has slightly different hand positions (fewer empty strings, e.g. 5E instead of 0A string). This one with the guitar paths is also fine, but I don't like playing a lot of empty strings.
  10. Starting scores. Lead. Regarding this song, I noticed that @ cacahuate51 create his version CDLC of this song and I recommend playing it. Version from this championship week is a bit incomplete from what I remember (I played it some time ago) and does not contain, for example, full chords, but that makes it easier. 11. 311 Boom Shanka song contains a rhythm path but it was not used. I don't remember because I played this a long time ago, but perhaps because it is the same/similar to the lead path? Additionally, if it is as @ kayteck pointed out and the bass path in this song is in B-Standard tuning, I strongly suggest using another CDLC for intermediate bass and leaving this as a bonus. There are quite a few only bass CDLC on the selection list so there shouldn't be a problem with choosing. But in my opinion it would be best to use an additional CDLC containing rhythm and bass (without lead) in the intermediate class. There are a few on the selection list (e.g. Blur - The Universal, Foo Fighters - Floaty, Nirvana - Dive, Steve Miller Band - Serenade). @ Hughmonty @ Rodman
  12. @ Hughmonty It's good that you did a week after such a long break, but I see a few things to fix/update. Some scores are missing from the previous week's leaderboard, making the winners list inaccurate. For example scores of BottledPat and LuZifer are missing, and maybe some more. It's recognition's fault as usual. @ kayteck or @ avastreg please check this out. Incorrectly entered people suggesting songs selected this week. I did not suggest Steel Panther song (suggested by nlbsmglsk). I suggested Marrilion song. Additionally, when suggesting a Marillion song, I added a note that for bass I recommend another CDLC of this song (bass only). Could you add them as alternatives, of course the current one can also be played? This: https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/50837 @ Rodman you can also check it and update the topic. Have a nice week!
  13. It was difficult because the chart is very diverse and not very repeatable, but I got it!
  14. Bass I haven't played this in a while and I forgot how fun this is to play! I significantly improved my previous score.
  15. Some Lead scores I don't remember the last time we played a PF song in the championship, which is my all-time fav band, but many of their songs (especially the ones I like the most) do not meet the championship criteria well (too long, too many empty spaces in the chart, etc.). This ballad is perfect for beginners. I've played this many times since I started playing RS and now is the first time I've achieved 99+. Really nice! This song I last played ages ago. I must admit that it is not that easy considering the solo and this is definitely not a 4. For me 5.5. One of The Who better songs. I remember we played this in the championship again (in week 395). @ Rodman , you changed CDLC version in the link to the one from week 395, but remember that for this version difficulty rating were different and the rhythm path was for masterclass (8).
  16. Bass time I don't understand what's going on here xd Almost 90 but I give up.
  17. Good luck, one attempt is enough for me, because I won't learn it now anyway.
  18. Rhythm time I like this song, I also like the tones used in this CDLC even if they are a bit harsher than heard in the original. Even funny I liked QotSA older albums more, but that could be it. Similarly in Metallica, nothing from the new album captivates me, I would say that overall it is ok. The chart is a bit crazy as it often happens in Japanese songs, some of the chords I didn't know and couldn't play.
  19. Good to know you're okay! As a somewhat involved user of this website, I had no idea about the things you were writing about, it doesn't sound good. It's very bad that our CDLC can be removed without giving a reason and we don't even know about it unless we check it ourselves...
