  1. Fun songs this week! Thanks for picking my song selection. It's been awhile since I found one I liked enough to put up for selection. I played that quite a few times this week and really enjoy all of the parts Liked this Matchbox Romance song too! Good week this week!

  2. Fun songs this week. I thought at first that the Metric song was "Speed the Collapse" and that's one of the few Metric up here I really don't like playing, this one is good though! Could not get above 98% in Moonlight Shadow but fun to play, classic song.

  3. Was out of town for 2 weeks and missed the championships, but good songs this week! I was going to put in Goodnight Moon as a selection, lots of fun to play on all parts. I think it might have been slightly harder than the int bass but I guess it depends on what you're good at. Hopefully back with some time to play again! Dead End Friends was great too.

  4. No luck at all on Big Gun this week. One of my least fav AC/DC songs and I just could not get this pattern or listen to it again, played too much and kept downranking. Overall I thought it was hardest song this week. Alanis was just random in a few parts. Munich though, great song!

  5. Liked the songs this week but tough week for bass! I don't think the really was a beginner level song on bass. I'd have ranked the Nirvana song a little harder, probably around a 6 than Coheed and Cambria, around a 5. Coheed had a few tough parts but the Nirvana was all around tough, needs a lot more practice from me, but it's a fun/short song so I'll play it more for sure.

  6. Very nice, I do appreciate it!

I like to watch your "downgraded to Advanced" videos more than the ones against Masterclass. Advanced songs I feel like I can actually learn something by watching verses MC where it's often just way above my skill level. I've mostly been playing Metallica this week but I'll give White Zombie at least one try. It looks like it was mostly repetitive but had a few faster parts in there.

    Thanks!

    Well, blow me down... it's been a while, but I felt @@punchyrumble might've appreciated a video ;)

    "Tadaaa!"

It's still processing so might be a bit 'til clickabibble.

Better score but worser streak (my highest being 426 but I haven't bothered posting that one since I played them back to back.)

I settled for switching to palm muting at the end which is really flipping awkward for me but using my bird flipping finger on my left hand wasn't producing a mute but was producing more misses and my hand just doesn't wrap round enough to get my thumb over the top... despite having a dislocatey left thumb :)

This song's actually really flippin' easy... a low intermediate I reck'. 4-5 perhaps on difficulty.

  7. I feel like they're close, overall all of the people who have played both on the leaderboard had done worse on Pink. Even after an hour practicing on both Pink and Helmet my scores on Pink are worse. Pink is slower but has more fret hand movement across all 4 strings especially near the end. Helmet is faster, but is only on 2 strings, and mostly just on the E (well Drop D) string.

Yeah, I loaded the Fishbone and nope, not yet! ;)

    Nice scores!

I though the Pink song was easier than the Helmet song.

Here's my go around.  I loaded the Fishbone song and played it for about 5 seconds before realizing I couldn't even hit half the notes on bass. :)

Helmet - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=421035652- 99% (not on score attack, woops)

    Pink - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=421035663- 97.29%

  8. There was a post a few back where the order was changed.

Sometimes the songs might be switched or the orders are changed up to Sunday night (8PM EST) after a few people start playing through all the songs. Is #17 in the Championship Rules.

i know i'm older than most on this site but please tell me i'm not senile already.  when i got the list of songs saturday i would swear that bass went from easiest to hardest: Pink, Helmet, Protest, Fishbone.   usually once i get the list i don't check back until i'm ready to post a score.  is this something i should be doing more frequently, or is there a certain day that things are pretty well set?

  9. Good songs this week,

Baesd on first play I'd also switch Pink and Helmet on the bass paths. Pink uses all 4 strings and has trickier patterns. Helmet is almost entirely on the E string with only one part that's a little tricky near the end. I'm moving this week so not sure how many more scores I'll have, maybe a few.

    Thanks!

  10. Wow, really hard songs this week for beginners lead! I'd probably put both Xutos and Nirvana in Intermediate with Nirvana just getting a very slight edge in difficulty. I love the Nirvana lead though and will practice more on it. The bass line is super repetitive and feels like a RSI waiting to happen, so maybe just one try. ;)

I almost do better (and it seems more fun to play) with a capo on the first fret. Just my brain doesn't like to think about alternate ways to play A and E when I see them pop up. ;)
