  1. Greetings fellow players,

Toyota has made quite a funny advertisement for their Lane Departure Alert system, in which we can hear 2 metal riffs.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7Es71fkgms

I really love this style of riffs and would like to get my hand on some CDLS or Tabs of similar songs using this kind of sound.

Though I know that the second on is from "Metalsteel - This is your revelation", I cannot find any tab from this group.

Anyone here could pinpoint me a CDLC/Tab from a similar style of sound/technique?

    Cheers

  2. Good thing that open chords do work, as I'm so dumb with barre chords :)

Anyway, quite happy for this result after 3 tries and some RR. Speed and precision are the key issues here, fingers are already sore

Note: Really happy for discovering Metric, thanks to the championship

  3. OK, I'm really happy with my progress, but it seems I cannot go above this score for today.

Not 97% but still happy :p

It seems I have to work on the powerchords strums to be consistant and on the quick "slides" on B/Em strings.

  4. yeah, but regarding practice there is one very very important fact not to overlook:

You gotta practice your level of difficulty or below, playing songs way above ones skill level will sabotage the progress.

Thats why the CS is the perfect place to practice cause you get songs of your diff level, approved by a bunch of other players each week and are forced to do a proper amount of runs to get better if you wanna be able to compete.

I for myself didnt know how to hold the strings about a half year ago, surely far off from being any decent, but beginner songs, they can be played in the majority of cases.

@@Rodman, I definitely agree, though, I've been now practicing for 2 years. So, advances really depend on your choice of music :P

I think I'll definitely follow your advice and focus on what is within my reach :)

@, thanks for your last messag, you really know how to Motivate your troops! I can't promise anything but I'll try from now on (if my free time allows it), to post my scores, whatever they are ;)
