    Gig went well last night. I flubbed a bit, but I don't think anyone noticed but me.. lol. They invited me to do it again tonight! Practiced a bit today and made a slight improvement on the tribute

    I didn't get much time to practice as I am playing my second ever guest guitar gig tonight. It's only a couple of songs, but I'm trying to get out there. I'm going to play Hurt So Good by John Mellencamp and Gimme Three Steps by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I've got a couple of the solos in Gimme Three Steps so it'll be a bit challenging. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Here are my scores for the week.

    Here I am chugging along thinking I'm all great at this song and then everyone kicks my ass. You guys are good... I thought I hit a wall until I realized I didn't have to move my index finger at the tricky chord change. I still can't catch up, but I got a little bit better. I've been working on the two tricky riffs all week and there is not much else to the song. So I figured I'd give master mode a shot. Not too shabby. Alas, I think my pinky is done for the night. I'm not going to win this week, but I got closer.

    Here's my first attempts for this week. Tool always has some cool riffs to play and I really enjoy this song. I never discovered Billy Talent until Rocksmith. There is some really cool guitar work in their songs, and I really like Surrender. My pinky is definitely getting stronger practicing this one. Still need more work.

    @@Rodman, I guess I've been playing Rocksmith for about 6 years now. I know I have terrible practice habits and should be better, but I try to get better at something every time I pick up the guitar. I spent some time in RR for this and got a slight improvement. I hope focusing more on practicing the difficult solos will give me my next skill jump. Certainly feels like I'm on the right track. I'll give the MC players all I got. I know some of these guys are great on the more technical stuff. I don't know all of it yet, but that's why we're here, right?

    Love the Opeth song. I had never heard it before. Spent some time working on Megadeath. Not my favorite song by them, but damn, it's fun to play. Can I voluntarily move up to Masterclass? It's been extremely difficult to stay atop the Advanced division. I feel like @@MaZtoR has really made me a much better player just trying to beat his scores every week. I truly appreciate the competition. It's time to push myself a little harder and really work on the master solos. And a big thanks to @@Mortalo, @@Rodman and anyone else I missed that puts this championship together each week. It certainly keeps me playing more than I would otherwise. Keep Rockin!

    Love this song. Pink Floyd was probably the band on Rocksmith that really got me into the game. It's not terribly difficult, yet sounds awesome..

    I must have slept well last night. First attempts for both of these songs today and I improved. I am liking these songs more and more. Damn good picks.. Plus, I figured I'd give the Pabbarotti song a go

    Love the songs this week. Pink Floyd is always a favorite for me. I had never heard of either Q5 or Orphaned Land. Both songs are extremely fun to play.

    First attempts for the week. I think there is something not quite right with the Janis Joplin chart. I find it very difficult to find the rhythm of the song and when I think I do, the chart doesn't seem to match. This song was incredibly fun to play. I don't think I'll get much more time to practice it for this week, but I'll definitely be playing it after this week.

    So I finally got it... It took me at least 5 tries where I missed a simple chord at the end.. but they finally all registered
