  1. Ah. Not pressing save is probably the issue then, I forgot you had to do that with the song packs. thanks! Yes, it shows the same incorrect info (E standard) in the 'Song Manager' tab. Only in Rocksmith it shows the correct tuning (drop D)
  2. @@cozy1 Ok thanks. I'll do that. I'm going to check this properly later today/tomorrow, but I'll mention it already. I think there might be some songs in the 'setlist manager' tab show the wrong tuning. For example I noticed "Red Flag - Billy Talent" shows me that it's in Estandard tuning in the manager, but in the game it shows up correctly as dropD. I also disabled all tunings different from Estandard for the RS Main Tracks in the 'song packs' tab, but they still show up in-game. Any idea to why that's not working?
  3. Is it possible to import this time signature properly from a gpro file? I can't seem to get it right. Time is always stretched out between notes, even when I import the gp5 time signature
  4. I read this in another thread Do you have the last best version (v1.1.3.2) ? "Add selected song(s) to setlists" now copies a song to setlist, instead of moving it. Is it the option to just move dlc to a setlist completely gone? I wanted to sort my cdlc but the copy feature makes it a lot harder. Also, now all the songs show up as duplicates in the Duplicates tab. Am I supposed to remove them myself after sorting all of them in setlists? Or do those duplicates not matter?
  5. I figured out the problem with EOF. After reinstalling it I forgot to turn on the setting to get the XML files. Redownloaded the Toolkit (and ran the updater). Still doesn't give me the tone I added (cherub rock-clean) or audio volume. So there's still that I just keeps the standard tone from the menu during the song. Already unpacked the parsec again to check and it says cherub rock clean for the tone there.
  6. I'll try again in like an hour when I have time but yeah. I checked for duplicates and imported the files brand new in the toolkit without using the package. Even then, I change things in the toolkit like tone/volume that doesn't change at all, but the info (like title/artist) does. I'll probably try redownloading the toolkit too and put only the files I need to compile the cdlc in one map.
  7. Just did a final test to be sure and unplugged my hdd with the backup. Same issue. I'm at a loss. Never seen this issue before. I'm using EOF v1.8RC10 (r1337) Toolkit v2.6.1.0-e6ebd7f1
  8. Just tried it with the next song I had, same issue. Sections don't pop up after changing it in EOF. and tone (changed it to official cherub rock clean tone)/volume change in toolkit doesn't work at all. All the other info I put into the toolkit is shown correctly tough for some reason. When I load into EOF, all changes are there. Toolkit shows the right tone linked to the lead part. I have no older files from the songs in RS, they import properly except that it keeps the old version of tones/notes for some reason.
  9. SOLVED Fixed everything I think. That's what you get coming back after a long break, making the dumbest mistakes -_- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have no idea why this is happening, but I made a cdlc a while back. Today, I changed a few things in EOF (adding section/phrase/fixed wrong chord), in the toolkit I changed a tone + volume of the audio (even tried not using the previous package I made so it had completely different info/key etc) and somehow everytime I end up with the old version of the cdlc in Rocksmith. Even when I removed the old file from the dlc folder (tried almost 10 times at this point) How is this even possible? I have tested a lot of songs before but never had this issue. The only thing I can now think off is that I am now working on a copy from a backup of the songs I'm working on and it's using the original files? But I'm not even selecting the original files and they are on an external hdd. Loading the notes file in EOF shows me the proper file so I'm stumped EDIT: figured out that I missed an EOF setting for the XML. Still not sure why Toolkit doesn't update the tone tough, it just keeps the standard tone from the menu. Already unpacked the parsec again to check and it says cherub rock clean for the tone there. If it's helpful, I put the original and new map in this dropbox link (the https://www.dropbox.com/sh/au2eekj04tztla1/AABqc8P1MHZa9YoyXRmlUv1ta?dl=0
  10. I always get this error in the 'setlist manager' tab when I try to 'add selected song to setlist' from the 'songs list' table, or when I select (select as in tag the song in the select box) a song in the 'setlist songs' table. Am I doing something wrong here? I'm just trying to put all different tunings from standard tuning in a map so I turn off those songs.
  11. Did rocksmith teach anyone here how to play guitar? No. People teached themselves to play guitar, using tools, like Rocksmith. But the game doesn't teach you much, in my opinion. It gives you some guidance for practice tough, but it is a bad teacher, if you consider it one (but it's really not a teacher). Be critical of your own playing, turn the song volume down so you can actually hear yourself playing and the mistakes you make, look up additional info on internet when you need it. Don't expect RS to teach you everything and try to keep a distance from RS. (keep playing/practicing without it)
  12. I had no real inspiration when going to music/guitar classes when I was young (at 14years old). Then picked up guitar again 10 years later because of Jimi Hendrix. Everytime I am still amazed at what he could do with a guitar/sounds, how unique his playing was, how powerfull most his songs feel and how down to earth he was. Some people are true artists
  13. Well. I think I had a placebo effect from hearing a snap sound a while back and tought the tremolo bridge was tilted. No idea why I tought it had for this long to be honest as it should have been fairly obvious it really wasn't as bad as I tought (or why it was tilted). And putting on the backplate on it's wrong side for the picture didn't help with that :D It was just one of the studs that keep the bridge in place that was lower than the other so it tilted the bridge a bit. As for the new bridge. I just descided to let take of the bridge and let it sit in WD-40 overnight and was able to remove all the saddles and clean everything. Probably should have waited and bought new screws first but it worked to put it back together with the old ones. Next time i'll have to make sure I have screws to replace them tough so it's easier to do. It does, but I find it fun to try to fix things myself first so I can actually learn something from it, instead of just letting someone else do it (and not having my guitar for like a week). It is sometimes quite scary tough if it's the only electric guitar you have and are messing with it  also probably saved quite a bit of money by now with doing most things myself.
  14. I am looking to replace my guitar bridge since most of the screw heads for the saddles are semi-broken/stuck, so it's hard to set up my intonation properly. I have a cort g254 with a wilkinson VS50 bridge. I was looking at some sites, for example this bridge (http://www.bax-shop.nl/gitaarbruggen/wilkinson-twl-108-mc-brug-voor-elektrische-gitaar-mat-chroom#productinformatie). But none of them have any information about the size, and even when looking for the specific bridge on google I just can't find any dimensions of the bridge. How am I supposed to know it's the right size for my guitar when there's literally no information anywhere? I'm really confused. I went to my guitar shop and the guy said, look up a bridge you want (and fits), found the same one on his manufacturer site he gave me (http://www.basvandenbroek.com/nl/product/21774/750/wilkinson/tremolo.html) but also nowhere mentioning dimensions for the bridge. Are these just all standard sized bridges or am I missing something here? ---- Also have an issue with my current bridge. The bridge has slightly shifted/tilted towards the high e-string. I have a feeling it's because the screws are misaligned on the back. As you can see on one of the pictures there is one screw sticking out more than the other one, so I'm guessing I'll just have to adjust that one? Or is there something else that can cause this? https://i.gyazo.com/9bc5bf0cee524e3537e4e1697968d28a.jpg https://i.gyazo.com/6c8f90f0e53fef440afd37d2a6a67fdc.jpg https://i.gyazo.com/a03a7fd313cc130eb09e83c771c8a3dc.jpg Any help is appreciated.
  15. @@firekorn Yeah that's what I tought. Thanks for the response. Shame it isn't possible, but I had little hope for it anyway.
  16. @@Alex360 Hmm interesting. I see all your notes are just black in your example tough. I assume it will be a lot different to actually assign a specific color to a specific note? So for example all C notes show as blue, all C# notes as yellow, all D notes as green, etc
  17. Yeah I tought so. Shame really. I hope if they ever make a new one they add more options to customize certain features. But thanks for the response!
  18. I'm guessing this is never going to happen since I never really saw an ingame mod for RS. But would it be technically possible to link different colors to notes with a mod? So every note has their own color instead of having colors based on the strings. And have a different system to seperate strings like just a tag on a note or something like that.

@firekorn well I have a beyerdynamic dt 770 pro. But I was playing on my stereo at the time, maybe why it standed out more as it's an old one. And yes, big mistakes stick out more, but I feel smaller mistakes are very hard to hear. I think I just might adjust the gain option in-game as I think I saw I have the gain option at like -1.5db. I assume this setting adjusts itself when you calibrate?

@@PC Plum It was always like this but really standed out when I lowered the music volume even more and it was still hard to hear the lead tone even tough the main tone was super loud. I already recalibrated my guitar to check if that didn't help so must be just the tones. @@firekorn Thanks. Yeah sounds right. I'll check tomorrow again tough to be sure :D . I don't think it really makes sense that you can barely hear yourself play in a game that teaches you to play guitar. That's why I lowered music volume to like 70% when I started playing Rocksmith. I can only hope a next version might have an option to actually turn off the guitar track.

Yeah I mostly play official songs because I want to get good at those first before diving into all the custom ones. I noticed this before too, but not this bad so I never really cared to make a post about it, but this happened with other songs too. I'm currently playing Aerosmith - same old song and dance (lead part) and the riffs are like twice as loud as the solo part (when it switches to the solo amp) EDIT: just alt tabbed back into the game, same song and the tones where just broken now. It wouldn't switch at all and was just a standard clean sound

Is there something wrong with the mixer option in RS2014? Feels like every time I play have to keep lowering the music volume to even hear my guitar. Some tones are so much louder than others too, in the same song. I don't get it. Even switching the musisc volume slider from 100 to 50 feels like it barely even makes a difference.
  23. It's a Wilkinson VS50 so a fairly cheap bridge and I'll probably take it to the shop and/or buy a new bridge but I was wondering if anyone has tips to cleaning it. It's almost impossible to unscrew my saddles to adjust them at the moment. I already tried a lubricant spray on them but most of them don't seem to budge, most likely the tops of the screws are a bit worn off so probably not even that much I can do about it, but if anyone has any tips before I take it to the shop it would be appreciated. Also would it be recommended to just buy the same bridge or is there a better one I could use?
  24. Washing your hands might help but if you have sweaty hands most of the time while playing it won't help that much. Then it's mostly your sweat that is going to affect the neck/stings. Doesn't really matter how long you keep your strings but after a while the guitar will just get out of tune up/down the neck because the string's tension will drop because of wearing.
