As I said, i have played lead and no save file corrupt occur. Moving song to dlc folder will not (99%) corrupt your save, even if that would be file corrupting song if random corrupts exist (my own speculation), its possible (1%) but as you see can't prove it, it didn't happen to me. 99% You actually have to play song to cause corrupt. And next time your save is corrupted when you try to launch (when you have added possible more songs) So real question is what did you play last time? If nothing, it just proves random corrupts happen, but nothing else. My random corrupts have stopped after nailed last save file corrupter, so i'm not beleiver in any other reason that there is killer on loose. haven't played anything recently so it must just be one of those random corrupts. If you somehow remember song pack that you have played previous time before corrupt message, i can check em all. Its most likely 1 corrupter is in that pack, if not ... can't trace random corrupter but random play all new 0% songs (to me), but that's what i'm doing most of play time... Corrupting song never get %... after restarting game ...with old backup.

Thx for report. Lead or bass. Lead is already passed. No corrupt. Rules to save file corrupter are still open. Corrupt in random (without play)? Corrupt in all arragments? Section imported causing them? One thing is sure, those that are listed have corrupted my save file 2 times in row, and nobody have reported to play them without not corrupting save file, so that's why they are listed, and removed from my dlc folder. So its like 99% sure they corrupt every time you play them. Haven't corrupt my save since about 2 months. Best corrupting before nailing last 3 was about 10 corrupts/month So i can't see any reason than 1 lost save file corrupting song on loose when save file corrupts. Will test bass too if you confirm it was bass that you played. But if you played pack of songs, you most likely don't guess corrupting song right, sometimes its not even in pack. I used to play packs of somekind of order (packs i remember), and when corrupt come, load backup, repeat smaller and smaller packs, after there is 1 left. And test that alone too. Every time must appear corrupt message, if not song is not in pack, (those songs are clean).

Modify tomorrow list so that i separate MISC minors and major issues. Start adding also reported minors then there. I will draw line without writed down rules when i think issue is too minor to be listed. Things like not counting play times, song in wrong alphabetical place etc... Wise man asked is there big difference to count % between count play times but i would say wise man knows nothing, or quite few things. And if minor issues start to annoy charters too much i remove em all an keep only major. So some more crazy rules, to remember, but most likely to be modified by flight.

For this one i would say approved, no listing, but if the case is that you (most of you) want in general see more minor issues in list can do it, but i have already passed those (different minors) quite many so its up to you report them. You can report here always before 2 week perioid is gone, no bad is done. I test as soon possible, most cases report too to charter, and list when i think that's time. Double checking issues is always good thing... for charters too. Less room for errors. Who wouldn't like that?

My corrupts came mainly, (maybe all about 20-30) after played song that corrupts save file. First i didn't realize that it was even possible, then i started to slowly hunt em, now i think all nailed, removed and listed http://customsforge.com/topic/4863-list-of-crashers-jammers-dead-toners-and-misc-problems/, and no more save file corrupts... but i haven't played all songs and more coming... Anyway, save file "manager" is great thing if you manage to do it. Is there any possible... that if u can remove many (xxxx) song saves inside save file, (songs and song updates that are no longer in dlc) .... game would load songs faster. And is this modify option you trying to do? Or is speeding up possible only when actual songs are removed ?

Metallica: Creeping Death is now fixed "it was either screwed up sections that get imported or slide hitting 22nd fret id say most likely sections ALWAYS create your own" So that's good guess for charter, no general fix that will work 100% yet, hope someone manages to invent such. Its critical to report for even suspected save file corrupters, so i can test and list them if they are real. So damages could be less. This is how most ruin their save files. It's possible that even keeping them in dlc folder ruins save file in random, but not sure of that. So check those in your dlc folder and remove. Theese can be used as testing purposes also, later on its possible new file corrupter arrives, and wipes out massive amount of data without proper backups before noticed. For that reason its good to have properly tested save file fixer.

At start, these helped me to solve what crashes with what, maybe still... but Nowdays only rare same namers will not work together, working ratio has raised dramatically, thx to charters!!! "Normal" Crashes (without same name issue) are extremely rare about 1/400 song will crash nowdays after you done "things" right. Read above basic Instruction link and have fun, without or with extreme rare crashes. Afterwards crashes can be minimized with help of list quite near to zero Listed crashers can in some case be fixed by repacking, but it will not work for all of them, Just test freely, or wait charters to update. Crashes are caused mostly by listed same namers (user own creedy fault): Same namers can be easily fixed, or removed other(s) with help of list. Edit: Added basic instruction link to main topic.

My cable didn't die but caused much extra noise "crackling". Tried to fix, didn't succeed. Think issue was in "adapter box", now have two cables, 2 can play and/or spare for me. Also covered expensive Rocksmith wire with y cable so can use amp and will not broke Rocksmith cable's end so easily now.

Checked same namers and founded one (mudwayne) removed it and tested only bass again. Test 2. Still Crash "freeze" after tuning, reporting to song topic. Test 3. New repacked version uploaded to song topic (not to main yet), all arragements work.

Made just new working combo record. Hadn't notice that there were 4 runaway songs earlier. So its 4 in row now, try to do better without fix. I think its good to collect these working combos, because there is possibility that one newer song comes and crashes game because of conflict with other "runaway". If working combo is already listed you can easily remove just new one or/and fix only that. It's messy to solve what conflicts what if there are more than 2 non listed same named songs, so i will continue listing these, to make solving (mainly done by me) easier. Pls, report also these working combos (only fixed by charter) too, to make solving crashes easier in future. These conflicts cause so many false crash reports and extra job to charters too... As mentioned in main topic, its not charters fault that game same name crash, fault is mainly in game, but also in creedy bugging player. :D Anyway sooo, many working combos, many still unnoticed by me, more coming, charters have done great job by fixing these by themselves. Thx for report. Checked that out: All 3 Arragments work. How ever, finded out that my version is different. (same size, but marked smaller) So something got wrong with uploaded one. I try to contact charter to upload "older" mine version there that works. If no responce i try to upload it to song topic somehow... Waiting for responce for other tester, if confimed his file is also different, don't have to test uploaded file but try to replace it somehow. Edit: Didn't wait longer, changed my working version to newer uloaded one. It still works flawlesly. Check duplicates (same artist), download again and test. It should work. There are no Same namers (different artist). No conflict that was mentioned in song topic. Still won't work. Remove in song topic mentioned green day other song in dlc folder, or try update it too. Some mystic conlicts are still possible, but that's not charters fault. If still won't work test it alone (clear dlc folder keep only rusty in it). Case closed. It works for me and other tester.

I didn't use approved list in RS1 time, but instead I used list of problematic songs. So not listed is to me then approved. I use that kind of list still. It is pinned in general topic. If song causes "problems"... I list song, i move it out of DLC folder waiting for fix, mostly done by charter, third party or by lazy me.. If i love song mark to fav. Mostly mark to fav songs that develop my skills(quite hard), fun to play and are also non problematic. Someday then when there is too many dlc to machine handle i keep only favs in dlc folder and continue downloading more... repeating until i die. Even though most of songs are not marked favs i wanna play em all, even once. Love all songs done, even if "problematic" and listed. What I miss is list of favs. Easy way to print your all favs, so cleaning dlc folder not favs would be easier. Also we could list those favs to others to see what we most like to play. Anyone know how that kind of action could be done? Program that would list all favs, non played, play times etc... is there allready way to do it, that's not manual?

I add this fix help to main too, if you got any other good known fixes pls share your knowledge, try to add some most common fixes in differnet situations to topic. And pls be gentle to discribe fix, most of us are not pro tookitters. :)

It would be easiest you to repack with latest toolkit, and just upload it to your own song topic. Jazzie repacked it also using same machine. I can do testing if you just tell what song is.. after upload, if not done yet. Make notes that it crash on lead, and ask if someone could try to repack it too unless your own repack won't work. I personally suck with toolkit and especially uploading things, done none, but sure can i try to do those too, or someone else who can do it already, if your repack won't work. You can tell song name here, after upload, but rest would be then best to handle on song topic. There are plenty of testers(players) and fixers, charters, so don't worry even if some part of song crashes, just upload it mention and just topic here, and let's continue process, of upgrading your song in your song topic.

I have encountered after tuning crash before, but by then list didn't separate crashes, and don't exactly remember what happened. But after tuning crash are very rare in crashes. if it don't "freeze", and reports error or go back to desktop i could say its "middle" crash, even though it crashes soon after tuning. Nowdays i have been trying to make more clear what kind of crash is it and collect some all ready made fixes for them, to help charters and other fixers. Crash reports are just aid for charters, sure they annoy if issue already known.

People who have fixed these middle song crashes, could you send me some clues what causes them and how can they be fixed. Could copy paste general fix help for about that issue too for charters. Notes for middle crasher: -Always crash on same spot, if played 100% -Work if not played at all, or "badly". as if there is "crash note" in spot" where game crashes. I don't list reports straight, sorry. Have to test myself first. Trying to just minimize list errors. Mostly do testing same day i got report but have to work and do other things too. Secondly i don't list them as soon have tested. Have 2 week tolerance most issues after report to charter If not done properly, i'll do that after report here, (and tested) and wait those 2 weeks for fix actions. So many songs fixed in that time, charters really do listen reports to them and do fixes they can mostly in 2 weeks. Tolerance is ignored when song corrupts save file (hard to fix only 1 fixed\causes so much harm) or when issue is already known by charter (mostly dead tone songs) So this is my policy in short. Policy can be better so just tell me what should i do differently. Anyway, thx for further tests and report too. Really appreciate test and reports, so few of them, and so many songs to handle... I have noticed those middle crashes will not happen always when u play, have no glue why... for ex. tested one If you will not play notes it will work, but always when played notes crashed always (2 times). Weirdo crashes sometimes. Don't know is this rule for all middle crashes? Mine either. Doing nothing causes none issues Nah, this is just wanna play fluidly list. Entering here is not big issue. Shit happens. After about 2 months and no corrupts. Now 3 corrupts in week but none confirmed corrupter nailed. One was suspected, but different version of song worked fine and i gave up testing that one more. Have to stop while to download new and start to play unplayed songs and try to nail one. Appreciate if you could send reports of suspected corrupters or sure... about any other issues. Soon there is over 10000 songs so its quite hard one man to not miss or mess some issues. Happy news is that dead toners are quite dead now, so few of them now days, and many old dead toner are retoned. New toolkit is in good use, and charters create awe tones, Issues are just issues and overall marginal.compared to vast volume and total quality of songs. anyway, Thanks for every song listed or not, really appreciate all charters work.
