  1. the ones i've tried for now @ gamestab you are suggesting a lot of cool jp songs!! keep going my beloved rhapsody, I'm always happy when they are on in the week, thx @ Mikson and @ nlbsmglsk + this is a really good challenge, even on rhythm. Turilli is no joke

  2. Start this week I would give this 3.5 and I agree that this is suitable for beginners, but regardless of the player's level this is very difficult to get 99% here, unless someone has no problems recognizing bends and long slides. It's worth adding that the alternative lead is the same chart, but with a capo on the 2nd fret and in E-Std tuning, so I think that the scores from this should count, because, for example, I prefer to put on a capo rather than tune guitar in F-Std. @ Rodman Nice song, chill and pleasure to play. This is really difficult to achieve a high score, although I rated it 7, maybe I would give 7.5 now, but no more. When I play it, it doesn't sound bad, but missed too many notes in the arpeggios or bends in the riffs. Wtf, why do Japanese songs usually seem impossible to play for the average guitarist?

  3. First results: There's a finger twister that I always miss... Don't know if it's the tuning but some notes don't get recognized (but not always on the same section). Let's see if I can improve during the week.

  4. what a selection!!! Personal Jesus is one of my long loved song, but even more the Johnny Cash version. I've played Gipsy, very nice, I didn't take the screenshot so amen Also this famous song that gives a sense of freedom and those year (my bad sightreading = lowww score) And finally for mc, I agree with @ Mikson , why these Japanese songs are hard as hell? But I like this a lot, all of it. I love this genre (not a sightread, i've played 4 o 5 times): Rhythm is 6.5/7 if u don't consider the strumming that is very articulated and very difficult to reproduce accurately. Otherwise it goes up. Rocksmith is very lax on strumming so we don't notice it from the scores. And you may finish the song with the wrists burning. Lead is a hell! To understand the difficulty, I checked for some parts and I found only one partial guitar cover on youtube (like 1 minute of the song).

  5. First results: This was a bit harder or faster than expected (for me) This was easier than I thought. OK. I can almost play it. I must improve those riffs on the 12th and 17th fret. And Happy easter for everyone!

  6. I think It's been a year now since I joined the RSC for the first time - Time flies Playing the songs almost every week has helped me a lot and after 2 years of playing guitar I don't think my abilities would have been anywhere close to it without weekly RSC practice (That being said I should sit down more without playing RS and work on other areas as well ) And we got one of my favourite guitarists(Takanaka) in the mix this week with something that isn't too hard for me I'll do my best to ace it this week and make it a big milestone for my guitar journey!

  7. Mikson thank you for checking it out and creating the chart for this tune. i did have to record the video a bunch of times for this song and to get the tone sounding close to zakk (switching between clean and distortion and then adding wah & delays to the lead tone) and get the changes right and hence got to play the solo a few times before i got the right take for video. yes thats how it works! I am using a helix pedal to get my tones, have a few patches that need to be tweaked slightly for songs like these and I send clean signal thru RTC to PC to get good recognition. I am gonna take this moment to dive further into the history of my RS journey: i had briefly dabbled with RS on and off since it first came out in 2011 but never got into it due to audio latency on xbox and limited music selection, then i discovered CDLC's and twitch RS community in 2021 and got interested in learning to sightread as i saw other ppl do it proficiently. Due to Covid and some other reasons my band was on a hiatus and this was perfect to focus all my efforts on getting better at RS through streaming as I missed the live aspect of playing in the band. a year and a half later i was a little burnt out after 1000 plus hrs of streaming RS, and in 2023 I discovered this great RSC community with all of u wonderful ppl and it motivated me to play more and discover new music along the way, but i was missing the performance aspect. i have less time to stream now so makes sense for me to upload vids on YT which gives me the feeling of playing live & RSC gives me ideas for what to play. I appreciate all of u who are a part of this community & who make it happen week after week. my band is still inactive we need to record our album at some point lol... thank u if u read this far... keep on rocking!

  13. @ Rodman @ nlbsmglsk I'd give it a 6.5 by current standards. I can't believe this was once rated 5. The rhythm part is not much comfortable for me to play, I always have problems achieving high scores on charts like this, but I know others can handle it better. I would give the solo a 6.5, although a 7 would also be acceptable. This is also 6.5 for me. There is no solo here and the rest is not difficult enough for a 7 in my opinion. Other songs This is definitely not a 9, I suggest changing to 8, because we played much more difficult charts rated 9 here.

  14. Bass This is a bit more 4.5 than 5 diff. These quick jumps to the 12th fret and back can be problematic. Not technical easy chart.

  15. Some early testing. Probably the most notes Ive ever played(and missed) in a single song

  18. Thanks for choosing my song I tried to recheck the difficulty for akuma on bass as it's like half the length of 'reign of terror' And when I rated it I wasn't aware of the numbers too much And yes akuma felt more tricky and fast to play and I got 97 for first try on 'reign of terror' while i got something like 80% on akuma so yea looks accurate Akuma on rhythm I would say is 4.5

  19. - (mostly) RNG selection - minimal diff rating adjustments by me - feel encouraged to voice your opinion on the ratings - esp. the the top 2 bass tracks - we need more volunteers for week starting, pm @ Rodman if you are able to contribute - I'll review the leaderboard tomorrow, but if you see any scores missing let me know rn

  20. Hi Everyone, It's my first week, wish I'd known about this sooner. Sorry for asking dumb questions, but I'm not clear on whether one is just supposed to post a screenshot or if the scores are supposed to be typed in somewhere. Thanks, and looking forward to more!

  23. Minor improvement, Even At 50% speed I still get 90 Misses on the full song in riff repeater, I have to practice the difficult parts even slower I would love to see some Masterclass players tackle this and show that a 95%+ score is easily doable for them like they did in recent weeks If none of the advanced players gets over 90% towards the end of the week, shouldn't that tell us it's even harder than 7 or 7.5?

  24. a little better! Definetly should be able to get 99+ on advanced bass this week

  26. always interesting to see the bass doesnt follow 100% the guitar rhythm cool begginer song definatley got the 80s/90s vibe if it actually did come out in 2020! some parts the synthesizer rhythm kinda reminded me of a toto song..but not as good yea the speed is what makes it hard but overall theres only like 3 parts to the song cool chill song! good to see some masayoshi on here! i also have some of his other songs and theyve been a blast to play. i didnt have this one though so its good it got choosen

  28. I haven't played the rhythm one yet, but the Lead one has similar things happening, with like 5-7-10 which I can reach with index, middle, pinky but 3-5-9 is definitely impossible for me too. My guess is that either the guitar players really have huge hands or they play it differently from the transcription and 3-5-9 is 3-5-x-4 instead skipping the D string, which would go for most other big reaches as well. I'm advanced and suck at it too. It looks quite learnable to me and compared to my rank up song and other similar songs in that score range I think 5.5/6 is a good score - Just sometimes songs have arpeggios/patterns that we have to learn first but then they get easy Any intermediate player who is able to get 99%+ this week definitely belongs to advanced I think. I can't tell if it should be in int or adv. But maybe a song like this is perfect to be in both categories at once? So both classes can compete in it (Might be a good idea for more songs in the future toothat have scores like that too - I'm not tempted too much to grind a good score at a class that's lower than my own) One caveat might be that I don't know how Rodman's Ratings would be affected by this, but in general if it's 5.5 it should be still good for adv. bonus as well? ---- For me, I should probably nail the Backstreet boys song well and it'd be good practice. But I'm so tempted on focusing on the MC song instead because that solo looks like a great challenge that's learnable (Maybe not quick enough in a couple of days but we'll see) === First plays of the week

  29. @ RaZrShReD I'm glad you liked it. When creating this CDLC, I used tabs from UG, but this tab was split into several guitar tracks, so for the lead path in RS I created something like a mix of these tracks (acoustic verse + chorus, riff and solo parts), but I modified the acoustic parts to have more solo notes, and left whole chords on the rhythm path. Ultimately, I am satisfied with the final result @ avastreg Do you mean volume of the tones? Tones are definitely ok because I spent some time on them and used the right tones for the different parts - acoustic for the verse and chorus, reverb with overdrive for the riff and wah for the solo. It sounds very good to me. Only the acoustic can be too quiet, I usually have a problem with this in RS, because when the acoustic tone is too loud it sounds worse, so I try to balance it. Other lead scores I thought Backstreet Boys in RS wtf? But then I played it and it turned out to be really fun to play

  30. The ratings may be slightly different in the end, because I didn't thoroughly testing all the paths in all the songs (especially the bass paths), but overall everything should be in its place. Of course, you can comment if something seems wrong. Have a great week and Happy Easter!
