  3. Looking for new challenges, I set out to complete Beelzeboss on the master level. It was not easy, but after a few tries, I finally defeated the boss in the rock off! Anyone else take the challenge?

  5. Now let´s do irreversible things! starting to carve that neck-body transition... of course it must enable a good access to the high frets, so the lower part must be carved more extensively works but thats ugly so far getting a bit better at least its a smooth connection optically i don´t like it so far, i feel there is a lot more to be removed and probably concave carving to be applied, but extreme caution (not in my vocabulary and agenda) should be applied because that joint defines the stability for the whole thing... i am positive that it will be absolutely enough to have the greater part of the neckbase only from the 16th fret up - if so i can carve on the next 5cm as much as i want, but i will have a look at my guitars for reference before killing it all. The "hold it like you should" test surprisingly yields excellent access to all frets already, so modification is an optical only thing, and that final cave i will do when finalising the neckback. here you can see my marking of the 16th fret. Memo to myself and anyone: Do everything once! Meaning... try to plan all the steps one after another because going back will double the time of the process. In practice - i am experimenting here and enjoying every minute so i absolutely do not mind but - carve the body completely - do the pocket - carve the neck in one process - do the carving connection will save a lot of time.

  6. Let´s bring that neck-pocket to sleep! a lil more filing to enable the end to sit down tight ahh.... so much better already, rising about 1 slim mm from Fretboardend to Bridge getting rid of that with leveling beam that time 6mill in the FB side 6.9 on the bridge after another cycle of sanding - we are dead straigt .... .... and it looks like all is good, strings are likely to come at 4mm above the fretboard (1.4 frets + 2-3mm (depending on string) of action) and that seems to hit the middle of my adjustability range now. Yay

  7. I had this issue with quite a few songs. Posted about it and no one else seemed to have the same problem so I just assumed it was something I was doing wrong. I would seem to do fine in LAS and RR, but SA would strike out very early.

  9. Same, I spent most of last week on planes There is no honest reason this song should give me as much trouble as it does

  10. At least he was already able to get things working using his external sound card, so it doesn't seem like there would be a need to go that far. This doesn't really strike me as an audio driver issue, although windows does treat the RealTone cable as a "microphone." It would appear that all other USB and microphone devices are working fine for him. Am I missing something? Why would deleting all audio drivers be the logical next step?

  11. Rhythm vibes: What a classic! Ups, this mixing chords with single notes is difficult. What a nice song! Really fun to play!

  13. Had to give my second bass a setup to play this. Seeing how it has Geezer Butler's signature pickups, there was no other way. Did my best to mimic the bends with slides though. Just couldn't do those bends right now.

  14. Changing from single coil guitar to a humbucker guitar seemed to make the difference (may be not calibrated for single coil). Now the mistakes are all mine:

  15. Bro, I think you're top tier. In all seriousness, SOAD taught me a lot about stereotypical music patterns and progressions and how to break them to make them something slightly 'else', while not making them sound bad. Also, I may not be familiar enough with BROCKHAMPTON to hear much guitar, unless you mean tabbing vocal melodies/keyboards(samples, synths). P.S. Midwest and/or twinkly emo is harder than SOAD songs in ways.

  16. Okay, I dove into the advanced and masterclass. Geezer Butler's bass part on War Pigs is definitely an all-timer for me. What an epic song: And Nevermore...wow. The funny thing is that I suggested this song because the other Symphony X tracks I looked at were actually even crazier:
