  1. ...getting a miss on the first note (7 on the A string) of the main riff, every time. i'll give it a couple more tries to explicitly enunciate the notes for the detection's sake, til it gives me the >98% i feel like i'm playing it at already. sigh. yeah, idk wtf - felt like i legitimately and honestly missed maybe 2 or 3 notes on that runthrough. no more complaining. fun to play (...though not to listen to Dio sing over and over :| )

  3. Pretty fun, most of the stretches are a bit too far for me to play well tho.

  4. I Might just play beginner this week as i don't really want to tune down and also i can't play any of the others. happy with the bass, but the Lead got me going a bit..... not so good on the one string stuff, might get to 98% with a bit of luck and practice

  5. @diceslinger After a couple of hours of messing around with the settings, this is what I got. Next I need to experiment with a green screen and filters. I'm using a Logitech C722 Pro camera, Rocksmith is in QHD resolution, camera capturing 720p 60fps. Need to disabled "audio exclusivity" in both Rocksmith and Windows sound devices for it to work. A 5 min recording is about 700 MB, and you need a relatively decent computer to do it. I'm doing it on an HP Zbook with a quad core i7, 32GB RAM and Quadro GPU, seems to be working ok but I saw occasional stutter in the video. Not sure why as my CPU is barely doing 50%, and the GPU is around 65% utilization.

  8. Tried the Travis song. The note detection was quite terrible for me too (lead guitar). I kept missing even basic power chords every now and then. To me it looks like that especially the strumming parts are not charted 100% on time. I cannot say for sure, but I still believe it's something to do with the cdlc itself, not the conversion process. What it comes to riff repeater, I've found it to me much more forgiving than score attack in generally. That being said, the best I managed (when focusing on what I saw on the screen, not what I heard) I still couldn't get 100%, but 99.09.

  9. Anything is possible, but I highly doubt it. The conversion process doesn't touch the actual note data in any way, it just unpacks the song to bunch of files, does some string replacements and then packs it up again. It's very simple. I can try the Travis song and let you know if I notice anything, but I suspect it's just how the CDLCs are in generally.

  10. @Snakewizard has told me about recognition issues at the Wishing Well file which he has not run into in the OTHER VERSION available that has a similar chart. So - scores from both files will be valid for the Week!

  12. Travis - Turn. Not quite there on the lead. Thanks everyone for the discussion on points versus percentage. I put in some more work and got both up a bit. Still have a ways to go, but it's time to work on the rhythm entry.

  13. I have probably played this song 20 times and the same 4 notes always register as a miss. When I go into riff repeater (even at 100% speed) I hit all of them correctly. Start LAS or SA and miss, miss, miss. I feel like a broken record. There are plenty of people posting 100% so it's obviously something messing up between my brain and fingers! Oh well, I'm tired of turn, turn, turning.

  14. Score only matters if you tie someone in accuracy and streak. See rule #15 here:

  15. When you post scores on Score Attack - Hard - do you post your highest points or highest percentage? One of the songs I'm doing - I got a higher numeric score but a lower percentage. Doing it over again a few times, I got a higher score by 2 percent, but lower in points.

  16. @meset Great score! Don't you think you should be on the masterclass level? At the advanced level, you get scores unachievable by the rest. Although I generally think there should be one more level between Advanced and Masterclass, the jump is too big. My slight improvements:
