  1. Some bass before bed time. I played ABBA and Guns'n Roses with a pick, because I managed to drop hot glue on my right middle finger today, when fitting a new bathroom door. But I could not bring myself to play Superstition with the pick, I rather suffered the pain. @@meelo I can understand Rodman wanting you in MC, because you are consistently very good, but I enjoy our little conversations, so please stay a little while longer in ADV.

  2. Amorphis first. Had a good lead run, just so that it's not too easy for @@meelo to win.

  5. NOT FAIR! - letting rhythm class play a song with one of the best bass line ever, while leaving the bass players with some mediocre selections. If I have to downtune to play anything decent, I'm playing this one. Superstition on bass - 99.5% Take THAT FreeBird police!

  6. Hi, folks. I'll be using this thread to maintain the latest versions of EOF in one place. To start, download and extract EOF 1.8RC12: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ih70h6p67iy77ka/eof1.8RC12.zip You can keep that zip file handy to avoid downloading it more than once. When I release a new hotfix, all you have to do is replace the files from the above zip file with the ones from the hotfix. The latest hotfix (9-26-2020) is here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/6xzg32k4a9gqwxs/eof_hotfix_%289-26-2020_4%29.zip/file *If you use a non QWERTY US English keyboard layout, and keyboard controls/shortcuts aren't working for you, please make a post describing what keyboard shortcuts aren't working, and what the Info panel says the "CODE" and "ASCII" values are after you use each of the keyboard controls in question. I can make Mac releases and will try to post one with each Windows release, but my ability to do so is sometimes limited. If I don't get around to releasing a Mac build you want, just remind me to do so. The latest Mac build (9-26-2020) is here: http://ignition.customsforge.com/eof/download/487 Unless you have oggenc and LAME installed (these don't come with the Mac build for licensing reasons), you won't be able to have EOF automatically convert from MP3 to OGG when you create a new chart. If you have trouble getting those set up on your system, here is a package that should get them installed and usable by EOF: http://www.t3-i.com/apps/eof/downloads/eof_utilities.pkg Please provide any and all feedback, including bugs and feature requests. If possible, also please review the included documentation (manual, tutorials) and let me know if you find any room for improvement there. Eventually I plan to add a Rocksmith authoring section to the pro guitar tutorial, but the community's knowledge of the Rocksmith songs' makeup changes pretty quickly so it's hard to know when particular features are considered fully known. For any features that ARE fully known (like anchors), please feel free to remind me if they aren't incorporated into EOF yet, in case I missed any information being passed around on this forum or the Google group. Note: If you are reporting a bug, please specify which hotfix (date) you're using. I release hotfixes on a somewhat random schedule, sometimes more than once per day, so the issue being reported may have been fixed in a release you haven't tried yet.

  7. After receiving numerous requests from people to post the customs that I have been using for experimentation with Violin on Rocksmith, I have uploaded them. If others have created customs for violin, feel free to post links on this thread. Video links might be useful too, if available. WARNING: The BASS chart on these songs is for a REAL VIOLIN! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TUNE A BASS TO MATCH THE REQUIRED TUNING Tuning instructions: Do NOT use emulated bass. The custom is already coded to expect an instrument tuned to G,D,A,E in the 4th-6th octave, which equates to guitar notes on the 10th fret of A, 12th fret of D, 14th fret of G, and 17th fret of B (12th of E). Customs currently available (PC only): Practice track: Beethoven's Ode to Joy http://www.mediafire.com/download/ghch7t79l3gp93d/Beethoven_Ode-to-Joy_Violin_Only_v1_p.psarc Video Demo (queue to 13:25): Lindsey Stirling: My Immortal (Evanescence Cover) http://www.mediafire.com/download/cfp37a56z4ooa6d/Lindsey-Stirling_My-Immortal-Violin-Only_v2_p.psarc Video Demo (queue to 5:36): Gil Shaham: Paganini's Sonata Concertato in A Major (1st movement) http://www.mediafire.com/download/c2cr9x9pu8491rm/Paganini_Sonata-Concertato-in-A-major-MS-2_I_-Allegro-Spiritoso_v1_p.psarc Video Demo:

  9. Missing a lot of chords in they rhythm that I don't think I'm missing. I always have problems registering notes on songs with a lot of stumming. Rhythm and bass are included. I am having a lot of problems with lead for some reason this week.

  10. It's not a bad start. I had that solo in my pocket at 90 % speed. Then whoosh. Gone like this year. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week271/lead/a01.png The tone is not as good as it was on the previous Amorphis song.

  11. You start off with a 98.99 %! Are you trying to get rid off me? :D Rodman tried to push me to MC because of that 99.12 % I pulled off two weeks ago. So the goal is to play 98.99 % with 557 streak now!

  12. That guy looks like he should be shopping for soup, not playing a instrument as sexy as a bass! Is the way someone looks suppose to matter? He is an older gentleman who probably has more experience than both of us combined. When you don't have a legitimate argument so you criticize someone's appearance you come off as an immature high school student. Not trying to start shit Toni, but if you have nothing of substance to say it would be better for you not to say anything. I did have some respect for you, with the scores you get it appears you have immense talent and skill, but all that just went out the window with this asinine comment. If this is the sort of response I'm going to get when I try to give constructive criticism of an inaccurate chart, then why should I give any feedback at all? Sorry for the off topic rant. Can anyone, that's not Toni, answer the question I posed? "Any way we can use a different song or have someone make a more accurate chart?" If the answer is no then that is completely acceptable, I will simply let my 96% stand, since I don't want to learn a song incorrectly, and move onto playing charts that are accurate (or at least more accurate since some of the B.B. King charts use open stings where it should be a 5th fret) and more in my wheelhouse, like Journey and B.B. King.

  13. Lead seems a big hill this week, I'll slow it way down and work on it. Rhythm is easier, or I'm getting to the point of moving up? @@Bounours, I need a push this week, let's battle!

  14. A bit of bass http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week271/bass/b01.png I think this was a bit harder than 2. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week271/bass/x01.png And this a bit harder than 3. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week271/bass/i01.png http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week271/bass/a01.png This just sounded and looked like stupid spam. Will need to seriously slow it down to find the rhythm in there. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week271/bass/m02.png

  17. Pretty tough selection! First tries, except for Paradise City, played it once a long time ago and only got 60% So this is it's second play. My fret fingers were ready to drop off after playing Gn'R

  18. Guitar time, got blisters on my right hand fingers! This one is too easy for 3 But Lead is quite hard for me... Pretty much follows bass line but I find bass much easier to play Stevie Wonder rhythm is really easy... so is Lead, but I'm not sure how I got only "decent performance"

  19. Yeah, why was Stevie Wonder not included in bass tracks? Solid Intermediate 5 song.

  20. Bass songs difficulty is very underrated this week 1. This one is boring, agree, 2. 2. Amorphis is a bit harder, may be 3? 3. ABBA is definitely 5 4. GnR started deceptively easy but the last minute is too fast, I almost got cramps :) Surprised I didn't fail any sections, it sounded like a mess

  22. I'm not sure what stage your at but if your a beginner, like me. I would recommend spending a bunch of time on the arcade game string skipping saloon. I spent 20 hours doing almost solely this, id listen to a podcast (Joe Rogan) turn the game sounds low and just play over and over. I sucked at first but couple of weeks later i scored in the top 1% of players and i saw massive improvements in playing riffs which change strings frequently. I would then recommend joining the Rocksmith Championship on here, they put up new songs each week for lead beginner, int, advanced and master. Compete and work on that song throughout the week, you should be able to do alright with repeated practise and riff repeating the parts that are tougher for you. I've actually now progressed to lead Int :) . Then Generally just keep practising, i'm far from good, but i do feel like i'm making progress. I've only been taking learning seriously for a couple of months tops.
