There is a new toy to try out in the CFSM Beta Version. Long awaited and much requested 5-Star CDLC Package Rating System. Now you can rate CDLC. The rating is saved locally to the user's CDLC. Charters may use CFSM to pre-rate their CDLC before posting to Ignition. Pre-rated CDLC will show in CFSM, otherswise CDLC will have zero stars until the user chooses to rate it. Users can always up/down rate CDLC locally that have been pre-rated by a charter. ODLC are always 5-Stars unless user decides to down rate. Package Ratings are filterable and sortable, so you can see just 4-Star CDLC if you want in CFSM. Enjoy responsibly and show your appreciation. Keep those beer donations coming on my website. Finally got 99+ on Jethro Tull Rhythm, RR certainly helped!! Also, not the best score but better accuracy. Butchered the solo, haven't tried it in RR due to lack of time

CustomsForge Newsletter (Issue 1 | Aug 2018) Hey all, I apologize for the late response I've been working my ass off at a few temporary jobs. Thank you for reading this update! I'm going to discuss a few things here: DDoS Attack & Discord Raid Lately, we've been targeted via Discord "raids" (where bots spam our discord) and DDoS attacks. Our amazing team of Administrators and Moderators have been keeping an eye on this and have been resolving these issues as they occur. Unfortunately, I don't know why we are being targeted. We will keep an eye on this and work on fixing it asap. Accidental Suspension The website was down a couple days ago due to our server company accidentally suspended our servers for 'late payment' even though it's not due until the end of the month. We reached out to them and corrected this. To make sure it doesn't happen again we're setting up a new donation goal to get it paid off asap. Advertisements We ran a test of the new google ads and saw it was extremely annoying on multiple areas of the website. We've reverted those and are solely using Sovrn for now. Developer Update The current progress of the rewrite has slowed down but I plan on making sure we speed things up again even if that includes getting more front-end developers on board to help assist. Probably my best for week on lead...pretty happy with my improvement. I've run this song into the ground, my family is tired of it.

Adding just an additional leading two seconds of silence did fix this visual glitch, thanks. Apologies, it was my first song since my return that had such an early tone switch (possibly ever? Likely, if a song's tone heavy I usually consider it a hard pass). I poked some tips and tricks when I returned to get a refresher, but I'll take a harder look at firekorn's tutorial to make sure I've got a handle on everything that's considered common knowledge nowadays.

This is (almost) the best I can do without being able to nail the solo at all. 0 misses before solo, nailed the first note of the solo (bend), solo sounded like I was stabbing a kitten, and missed three notes after the solo. I can get perfection before and after the solo, but the solo is a tall order. So far I've been able to do it at 70 % speed and 110 % luck. http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week259/lead/i07.png

So you have the Rocksmith inlay and you can use it? Until you can you are stuck. Search the forums on keyword 'inlays'. This thread is a MUST READ. I'm sure there is something there that may help.

My son and I tried them. This is exactly the type of stuff I am seeking. Great thanks. This will keep us going for a while. Maybe once your son sees your daughter excelling, he’ll double back and try to outperform. Honestly I wish I had discovered RS at their age when time and brain absorbency was in abundance. In a last ditch effort to keep me playing violin, my dad promised that the girls would flock to me if I continued. I was 12. Had he said this just a couple of years later when that would’ve been more poignant, perhaps I woukdn’t always be in last place in your CS, assuming violin would’ve translated well to guitar. LOL. Anyway, you are a very good dad putting the effort for your kids like this! Plus an arcade cabinet ... coolest dad ever!! :) Awesome that you’ll add more. Cheers!

One problem is that people that upload cdlc isn't automatically following their own cdlc page, so they don't see it if you leave feedback. I wouldn't go back and check for comments on my uploaded cdlc if i didn't follow them either, i would just forget. I follow all my own uploads, and all the cdlc i download. I have left constructive feedback on certain uploaders cdlc many times, but i have never had a reply, i don't know if it's because they like to upload subpar cdlc full of mistakes, if their ego is too big to fix mistakes on it, or if they just don't know i have posted suggestions on how to improve the cdlc. Having the charter rate their own cdlc shouldn't be necessary imo, i wouln't uppload my own cdlc if i rated it poorly, because then i know what's wrong with it and would fix it, or abandon the entire thing. Would it be a lot of work to make uploaders follow their own cdlc by default? Well, i´ve done ~75 CDLCs and i´ve got ~25000 downloads...... and i have gotten about 5 (!!!!) comments with constructive feedback (or any feedback more than "thx - sooo cool") ..... So responsibility here is on the players, not the charters i fear - noone cares to go back and try to make the thing better. Making the charter autofollow yes, +1 but it´s only one click and i do it automatically when checking the songs post after upload. I aggree with the self-rating by the charter - there will be only 5 (and some 4 stars), and as noone comes back that is gonna be it i fear. I have thought about it yesterday for long - 2 of my customs i would have rated 3 stars because of some errors in the solos i just cannot chart myself to perfection, but when a song is gonna be marked 3 stars - i fear that scream for help is gonna go up in smoke and will lead to just the cdlc being avoided for poor quality :( - but i will try. I don't have many comments on my cdlc either. But i messaged a guy about his cdlc, and he didn't know he had to follow his cdlc to see the comments. So i thought maybe there are more like him. Most of my frustration comes from people that don't take the time to add tone changes, riff repeater sections, palm mutes or sync their cdlc properly.
