Phew, barely broke 99%, just in time. If it had a bit faster Scroll speed the solo would be more readable, i do get a few missed notes in the solo, in that part near the end where the position shifts from around the 15th fret to the 5th fret and i cant it to register no matter how well i play it :\

My internet was dead most of the time this week, so instead of browsing memes or doing other useless things I was actually able to practice. My favorite song (and the easiest one.. wink, wink) by my favorite band.

Since I cant' bear any latency at all, I never play with ingame guitar sounds. I bought an active line selector BOSS LS-2 that allows to split the guitar signal, then one send to the PC via RS cable, the other send to my line 6 pod, then you set guitar return volume to zero in RS, and at least you mix both sounds, one from the PC the other from the guitar effect in a small mixing board, this setup is by far my best playing experience.

When do the next week songs start? I have a few hours of downtime and eager to play :)

Yep exactly (well not speakers, headphones or I will get my neighbors suing me and my wife asking for divorce...) But I think that even with that trick you should take care to set quite a low latency, I you want to avoid note recognition issues.

I never got around to finding tones and do final testing for proper publishing of this tracks so I'm making the EoF and Toolkit files available for anyone that wants to do it. If you decide to work on a track, please, say so here so we don't have multiple people working on the same track. didnt do too great with this so it was good to work on! definitely improved a bit but those patterns are so weird

OK, I'mma try... However, I don't think my PC is working well with the very close notes. I notice in ALienf* that when there are a lot of notes, I expect my multiplier to shoot up, but it doesn't, yet RS claims I have no errors. Weird. L

@@MrGrogro that is interesting. So you hear your guitar sound from the pod with just about 0 latency (whatever latency the pod + guitar cables has) and play along with the music coming through the computer speakers?

That are some insane good settings. I can not go under 4 with the LatencyBuffer and any non-automatic MaxOutputBufferSize gives me issues too. This is optical digital out into some active monitor boxes. Funny thing is, output latency is even higher with my Focusrite Scarlett 8i6. Is there any possibility to run RS with Asio, perhaps with asio3all? Has anyone experience with this? I tried once to run it with wine under Linux. It runs flawless but the audio latency is around 500ms, totally unplayable. It is apparently a problem with newer wine version. They redesigned the audio path and, in the process, dropped the Jack audio driver. (Jack is a very good, low latency audio system). There is an Asio driver for wine, which plugs into jack, so if I could persuade RS somehow to output to asio, I might be able to lose another Windows dependency. It hurts, that due to RS, I now boot Windows more often than Linux. Drool! That is a gorgeous bass. Congratulations!

Improved my score a bit Still can't finish the "Alien Fucker" song. The octaves at the end of it are killing me

If you settled size buffer =0 (or empty) thereat RS selects some default size buffer, he is not equal to zero. In some cases this may be optimal, but not always. (also for the number of buffers)

I never liked that song, and i don't find it really fun to play on bass. I don't plan on trying improving it. This song is just..... WTF Finaly, this one was pretty fun, really cool band Now i just have to try playing Ne Obliviscaris even if it's not in the Cs for bass.

So after breaking a pick which i did not know was possible, having my arm fatiguing half-way into the song and coming back after regular breaks which include plenty of arm stretching, i'm seeing an improvement. Songs really grown on me too, not something i imagine id of heard if i wasn't taking part in the championship. Latest:
