  1. first week getting int/adv/mc passed in score attack, hopefully I'm improving a bit fun song to play http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o753/macjm12/Screen%20Shot%202017-06-15%20at%206.01.58%20PM_zpsuk5qhh2k.png most of it I could get through pretty easily but the hard parts I needed to work on more http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o753/macjm12/Screen%20Shot%202017-06-15%20at%209.35.16%20PM_zpsov8tozy9.png fun song, not sure why this was above that one, once u get that one riff the rest of the song is fairly straightforward http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o753/macjm12/Screen%20Shot%202017-06-15%20at%206.22.07%20PM_zps76puon0d.png

  3. Some improvements mostly made by tightening my G string, its amazing what a difference a loose G string makes on this tune :( well on the Rhythm and lead at least, the Bass just does what it feels like with this tuning  But I did find that all the strings need to be slightly detuned (loose) to get the best recognition. night night all

  5. Not sure if this will solve it, but in the .ini file try setting "RealToneCableOnly=1" if it isn't that already. Otherwise I think Rocksmith will try to grab hold of all microphones when it launches (under the assumption you might want to use them for microphone mode or something).

  6. Everyone running it has no problems. Your A/V sucks because all A/V sucks. It's outdated technology. Signature based detection just can't work anymore because packers and crypters. The only thing A/V is good at is freaking out when it doesn't have an entry for what it's scanning. This is hobby software, nobody is going to sign up and pay to have their free program greenlighted by A/V companies.

  10. Been super busy this week, I'll post why later but in the meantime let's try to grind out a decent MC score. http://i.imgur.com/NEsRlXM.jpg Surprised how well I remember this for how long ago we played it!

  11. Yeah it happened to Unleashed with a totally different antivirus (I wanna say it was actually Avast? I'm probably wrong). Started deleting system files. So it's honestly just a freak incident that could happen with anything, and alot of people happy with Malwarebytes so no need for the scare tactics. Also side note I just asked Unleashed it was definitely Avast

  12. Anecdotes are often freak incidences that don't get repeated often. Even major commercial antivirus programs occasionally put out a bad antivirus definition update that bricks Windows but they're quick to revoke the offending update. One time I had a problem where installing Avast antivirus prevented one of my XP computers from booting, but I found a workaround and have had no other problems with it on several computers.

  13. Finally some real improvements http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k228/maztor42/Rocksmith%20championship%202014/B-minor-blues%20never%20gets%20old%209524_zpssudln42n.jpg

  14. Like Raynebc said, it's a false positive. Trying to work on getting a software license at the moment which will prevent this topic from coming up again and again. And pleasepleaseplease do the above and send the false positive report to your anti-virus software (and in the meantime look into something like Malwarebytes that doesn't produce so many f/ps!).

  15. You probably want to disable ur Bass Boost... http://www.ibanez.com/products/images/feat/2159.jpg Phat II EQ Phat II active bass boost adds additional low-end power. http://www.ibanez.com/products/images/eb2017/control/24.jpg http://www.ibanez.com/products/images/eb2017/eq/14.jpg http://www.ibanez.com/products/u_eb_detail17.php?year=2017&cat_id=2&series_id=55&data_id=118&color=CL01

  16. Really enjoying this one Fripples. It's so satisfying to nail just a few of those sections. Hopefully a few more % to come. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/km1rwui3kjkuhb3/221680_20170616214228_1.png?dl=0

  17. Normal cable works fine, even plugged through the pedal with the pedal deactivated it works completely fine, it's just when its on when rocksmith is unable to detect what sound is coming through, only in tiny spurts that you can barely see flicker the tuning gauge. Yeah I saw this as well but saw the other common video showing it off with a bass and it sounded great, I'm starting to think it might just be the weird active pickup on the GSR200 that always turns on the bass boost regardless of the knob being at full or not. Sadly I don't have a second bass to test this on. I'll try getting a recording out soon to show people what's happening but sadly I don't think I'm going to get an answer, so I'll most likely return the pedal and consider my options for picking up a secondary bass with thicker strings for D Drop C stuff with the money

  18. That's because false positives are entirely common for niche software. There was a time (maybe still now, I don't know) where Chrome would automatically flag EOF as a potential virus for no reason other than it wasn't a well-known (among the entirety of the Chrome user base) program. What would help is to submit likely false positives to your antivirus vendor and not spread alarm unless they actually confirm it wasn't a false positive.

  19. I play a 5 string and a 4 string. One thing to note is that the realtone cable itself can't detect a true bass low B cleanly - it can however detect almost all the notes below an open low B. 5 string songs can easily be done by changing the cdlc to rhythm/lead, for starters. Simply put a note on the song that this is a 5 string bass track, played in guitar mode. The other thing you can do is have the player tune up their B string to d or c which IS detectable. Then track it that way with a custom tuning. Often 5 string songs won't make use of all 5 strings, they just want the low B. Keep in mind that there are no notes that you can't make with a 4 string bass with a 5 string, just that they're several semitones or whole octaves below. Also, unless the song has open B riffs (or lots of notes on the g string) you can often get away with 4 string BEAD tuning - as most songs utilizing a 5 string don't touch the g string. Finally, I like to keep my 5 string tuned ADGCF so I feel your pain.
