  5. Megaderp: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=681889989 I kinda like this song, it had a couple of nice surprises in it. Might have a couple more go's LG: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=681889906 It's a song I guess. Nothing particularly memorable about it, apart from the singer sounded a bit like Fall Out Boy's lead singer. Simple, straight forward, not unpleasant to listen to, I'd probably have really liked this band if I was 14 :) Blues exercise #4: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=681889872 Cheers Fripples for these exercises. This one I should work on, it was my first try. I'll do a bit more tomorrow.

  9. Today I increased the speed to 100% for the Megadeth's intro part. My left hand... It hurts! I still can't play it clear as it should be :'( https://youtu.be/8czTEaQZ93w

  10. No improvement on Streetlight Manifesto tonight… but a very slight one here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKY0xHejJfYWFCaE0/view?usp=sharing I had a go at Megadeth as well, and got around 96% - lots of random misses - the song was a little boring, really "nicht mein bier" as you may say. ;) Edit - I was so bored at the end I forgot to take a screenshot! Sorry. :D

  12. I know this isn't a valid score, but honestly I won't be able to post a score in intermediate. This is too difficult for me. I'll spend my time practising songs I can play rather than getting depressed trying to play songs that are way too advanced for me.

  13. I want to apologize to all of our users and thank you for all your patience during this time. Unfortunately due to the database issues of the current Ignition beta we had to revert back and undo the migration. The migration to AWS has been cancelled and we rolled back to right before the migration. All services should remain up and if anything we'll be working on optimizing our services. We will NOT be attempting any more migrations. The problem we ran into is that ignition uses large MySQL queries that are not suited for anything below a 6-core CPU. AWS only provides 4 and 8 cores. Upgrading to an 8 core (which would cost us $200+ more) just because of bad code is a terrible idea. CustomsForge has a very complex setup and it's very hard to transition it to new servers. We thought we did enough testing but the servers could not handle the load at all. We decided we'll be focusing entirely on IgnitionFUSE and fixing minor bugs in our other searches, but not rewriting old services. Thanks everyone for using CustomsForge and everything should be back to normal.

  16. You play because your interested. because its a passion. It sparks life into you. Practicing is not a chore and never should be. Altered states wont help anything have a clear mind when playing.

  17. -= Rodmans Course for Kids and Beginners =- Well... my 6 year old son learns to play the guitar now for about a year, and he does really well. 30 min lession at a professional musician once a week and a bit practice at home. As he knows me shredding some RS CS songs all the time he is very Rocksmith motivated - so to connect his achieved abilities to the game as well as present an easy course to anyone or anyones kids who want to start playing the guitar i decided to chart some of his exercises and songs and some own collected stuff to a growing collection here... P.S: my son uses my fender squier mini strat which works quite fine. The lessions are either Exercises or Songs, categorised by Difficulty Levels 1-5(-10 maybe somewhen) L1 - minimal stringskipping, slow, only open strings or one hand position L2 - max. 2 strings, one hand position, short L3 - one hand position, more strings, faster, longer L4 - more than one hand position or generally harder / faster than L3 L5 - too difficult for L4 / first chords The lessions consist of tabs very well synced to a background metronome track. Tipp: The speed is chosen at the songs to match an comfortale singalong and at the exercises at the speed they are meant to be played - so start off with reduced speed in Riff Repeater and accelerate as you progress!!!! ... starting easy lessons and depending on the response and my sons motivation planning to add a lot more. have fun. Exercises Rock - L1 - Exercise - For the very first tabs Rock - L1 - Exercise - First Finger First Fret Rock - L1 - Exercise - 1/4 Pauses Rock - L2 - Exercise - The 3rd Finger Stringskipper Rock - L4 - Exercise - The Empty String-skipper Rock - L5 - Exercise - The first Blues is the deepest... Songs Rock - L2 - Song - Hänschen klein (little Hans) Rock - L3 - Song - If you´re happy and you know it Rock - L3 - Song - Old MacDonald(had a farm) Rock - L3 - Song - Happy Birthday to You Rock - L4 - Song - In dem Walde (da) steht ein Haus upcoming: more lessons and songs incl. happy birthday to you done so incl. ein vogel wollte hochzeit machen Update 22-07-22 All links fixed and motivated to do more Son is turning 13 next month now

  18. Welcome @@Roo! @@Vodka that wasn't as bad as you may think. I does not sound much better :) I had Addicted to Chaos lead as 7 for long time, but when I played it after putting it to SSL, I decided that solo is not Advanced suited. I do understand that it's easy MC, there is no challange except the solo, but solo is tough as death. Song Selection List is a place where each participant can put up to 4 songs of their choice, that can be selected for weekly Championship (as long as RNG is in your favor ;) ). Songs need to have working Riff Repeater with at least few sections, bass and at least one guitar (lead or rhythm). Songs are sorted by difficulty and for each lead class (if there is no lead, lead column is filled with rhythm rating) is selected one, so it is highly apreciated when you at least try to fill that lead column (I do understand that some of you are bass exclusive or feel unable and you don't know what number to put there, but it may take us, Organizers, some time to fill it for you, so at least a little hint might help us a lot, after all you played it, so you know how it sounds, though it may be misleading  ). We would love to see some ass kicking bass lines or 8-9 rated guitars.

  20. I used to get loads of 100% accuracies when I owned a Charvel DS2 ST loaded with a 9v Active Humbucker and routed with a TASCAM US-100 with the raw input boosted to the rocksmith realtone cable. Since switching to PRS, using passives and the guitar is plugged straight from the RT cable to the USB port the ONLY song I have ever gotten 100% accuracy on is the stock game song "Are You Mine? - Arctic Monkeys". This game is very fun to play with actives and an interface acting as a preamp, hit registration is actually flawless, but playing it as intended and with passive pups, is meh even on a high-end PC running at max settings, 1080p, 144hz with Nvidia Gsync enabled. Interface input boosting works different than the in-game audio boost option, in the sense that, you can really drive up your signal without losing your trebles and note definition, infact it makes note dynamics far better. Also, the rocksmith cable is high-impendance so you naturally lose your trebles, I think the interface trick actually makes your signal low-impendance, which means most of your guitar tone is still there when it reaches the game. The best thing I remembered from playing with this configuration, is that sustain was amazing, you try performing a full step bend and vibrato and get it to sustain in rocksmith for 7-8 seconds..... not happening. With the interface as a precursor, its easy as pie, almost like having a tubescreamer apart from, it does not distort clean tones in the game if you tune it to the correct +Db.

  21. Hi, folks. The latest hotfix (5-10-2016) is in the first post. Changes are as follows: *Various fixes for the "Open strum" feature of 5 lane guitar/bass tracks. *Fixed a bug where enabling the display of grid lines while a custom per-measure grid snap was defined could cause EOF to hang. *Fixed a bug where the seek to next anchor function wouldn't work in some scenarios. *Improved the "Manage RS phrases" logic to avoid a crash by appending beats to the project if the last beat in a project contains an RS phrase. *Fixed a bug with GP import where before the beat grace notes that were applied to the first beat in a measure were ignored. *Improved the handling of grace notes during GP import so that if a grace note is applied on a string that isn't used in the affected note, it doesn't get interpreted as a chord. Muted grace notes authored in this way will now import correctly.

  24. @@missis sumner Crashes like that are likely happening because of conflicting ID and should be easily findable with the CFSM app. Also you can simply activate the enumeration via entering the shop, there's no need to go back to the main menu. There's no real issue in the number of CDLC you can have but you will be more likely to have conflicting element and enumeration time grow making the loading time extremely long quickly.

  25. I haven't improved on Mary Had a Little Lamb tonight, but I've done this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKMFNCSHU3TWF2bU0/view?usp=sharing And this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKYXUzUjVGQWFMYm8/view?usp=sharing :D I ought to say, it's a testament to this competition that I can play that last song at all, let alone get >90% on it.

  27. I got the impression everyone loves Megadeth here so much. Am I wrong? =) Cause they're good (not as good as Metallica, I don't want any false impressions here) :P Besides 3 of 4 Organizers are Thrash Heads and last (but not least) is former one, so yeah we like it. Just like japanese girls or ska... no, WE don't like ska! Of course we don't like Ska, we love it  and we really don't like Megadeth, that's just Thrash out of the can :P

  29. Hi, folks. The latest hotfix (4-24-2016) is in the first post. Changes are as follows: *Changed GHWT export so that forced strum notes export with a marker 9 lanes higher than lane 1 to reflect user testing. *Fixed a bug in RS2 export where a palm/string muted note would lose its sustain even if it should have been kept due to having linknext or sustain status. **Fixed a bug in RS2 export where single notes may not correctly export for a chord with chordify status. *Improved editor logic so that when adding linknext status to a note, it is prevented from being given a length that would go beyond the end of the chart. *Added a check (if RS2 export is enabled) during save so that a warning is given if a note crosses an RS phrase or section boundary, as this can cause problems with dynamic difficulty. *Fixed a Feedback import bug that could cause the drums and double drums tracks to be combined into one resulting drum track during import. Now the double drums track will be imported to the Phase Shift drum track if it is defined.
