  1. Crazy busy all week, only getting time to play this weeks songs tonight. http://s22.postimg.org/hk0p42bv5/breeders_cannonball_lead.png Played this a bunch of times before. Difficult but fun beginners song. http://s16.postimg.org/5q05tx5ed/the_fratellis_henrietta_lead.png Used to be able to play this in the pre-rocksmith days, still remember most of it. Sync is out a bit. http://s22.postimg.org/8sy9njhxt/free_mr_big_lead.png Suprisingly difficult to keep the appargios accurate. http://s2.postimg.org/happnj961/prince_of_persia_rhythm.png http://s30.postimg.org/nw369l5oh/prince_of_persia_bass.png Easy but cool http://s27.postimg.org/saiwkkbwj/the_fratellis_henrietta_bass.png Some charting issues to go along with the sync problem here, cool bassline though http://s24.postimg.org/dd6c6hg9x/free_mr_big_bass.png Failed out the first time, scraped through on the second attempt. May or may not get more time tomorrow and I'm off hiking Saturday so this could be my only update for the week.

  6. Hi everyone, I really did my homework last week, I just couldn't deliver it on time, sorry about that. I really should post on fridays, we'll see. So, @@Rodman said he has 4 guitars, each with a different tuning. I just have an old one, but really could afford another. Thing is I never thought about using them like that, i's so damn practical! For the time being, a friend keeps her guitar at my place, so having instant E and Eb is just so great, so thanks @@Rodman I can't believe it never entered my mind. http://s12.postimg.org/aac53vnjh/2016_01_19_00001.jpg subir gif

It seems like the underside of my first joint is right over the b string and not pushing down on the fret enough. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/d805zyywv5927d0/221680_2016-01-23_00001.png?dl=0

  15. Hey guys, I wasn't sure if this was the best place to post this, but it seemed like a decent fit. I've really been enjoying all the amazing work everyone has put into creating custom DLC for Rocksmith 2014, and I decided to give back in my own little way. It's kind of OCD, but some of you might find it helpful. I wrote a little program that will go through your DLC folder and rename all the PC DLC songs to match the embedded metadata, so it's easier to see what songs you actually have by keeping them consistently named. I also use it just to help identify songs that have incorrect metadata so I can manually fix them using the Custom Song Creator Toolkit. Here's my github page: https://github.com/Darrken/RockSmithDLCRenamer Make sure you read the ReadMe on that page! The source code is all there, and the program itself is in the "exe" folder for those that don't want to compile it on your own. :) I'm actually using methods from the Custom Song Creator Toolkit to get the metadata, so you developers will see some familiar DLLs in the Bin folder. I hope some of you find this useful. Update: Dropbox link to compiled program

  16. I want to congratulate the whole community for hitting 18,000 songs in the database. Our top songs of all time: Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven (30,000 downloads!)Guns N' Roses Welcome to the Jungle Nirvana Smells Like Teen Spirit Eagles Hotel California AC/DC Back In Black Red Hot Chili Peppers Under the Bridge Metallica Enter Sandman Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb Red Hot Chili Peppers Californication Guns N' Roses Sweet Child O' Mine Let's make our goal within the next 6 months to surpass 20,000 Customs. I pledge to release more customs myself as I've been working on some new customs from bands that I haven't seen in the database such as Failure, Year Of The Rabbit, and Plini. The custom making process is pretty easy and we have plenty of tutorials to get you started. I personally recommend using ultimate-guitar.com and songsterr.com for quality tabs. Please always test your customs again and again until you find them worthy of release. We always have members here that will help you. MAGFEST I will be attending MAGFEST this year and I'm set to volunteer at the Rocksmith booth to help get new users into Rocksmith. If you want to meet me I'll be there and hopefully you can kick my ass in Rocksmith. :)

  20. @ personally feeling I need more than a week for MC and ADV, not because of lack of time to practice but because for me they're both quite stamina draining songs, sprained my pinky slightly practicing the MC ... Could probably do int pretty quick but for the competition I see no point, though I do want to learn it eventually for my own personal pleasure. It is not for the want of trying, I am, We are trying! The MC and ADV are nuts songs, great fun yes, but for myself and maybe a couple of others we just haven't quite the technique/speed/dexterity/memory etc to spam the boards with triple X screenshots such as mine :) I'm not moaning about being in MC but I find now I'm there I desperately want to stay competitive but am struggling to do so due to inexperience. I dedicated myself completely to practicing MC and though I can play 80% of the song, my inexperienced brain does not allow me to accomplish this in the time frame, it's a ball ache as I have been torn between "fuck it just play the others!" And "noooooo don't.give.in!" I had to though, unless my pinky gets better by tomorrow, then I will try again. These are great songs but I think when folk are transitioning from one class to another, we don't immediately become fully accomplished in that class. That's my tuppence worth on the lack of scores anyway :)

  24. Hi @@Alex360, you were correct about my Wwise, I was using 2013. I have upgraded to 2015. I haven't tried the auto convert support yet, but all of my creation tools are now current (EoF build 1-21-2016, & Toolkit version 2.6.1.0-d38eadf0). I recreated my wem files, and resaved my EoF files with the new version, and tried regenerating DDC. When I did that I got this error: Here is the contents of the log file: ==================================================================================================== == D D C P R O C E S S S T E P S == ==================================================================================================== 2016-01-22 12:57:24 => 22 ms 01. I've checked the anchors in the EoF chart, and there are many before the first note on the bass track. Could this be due to some change in the DDC logic? I remember reading a post from @@Rockfirstlast in the 'Latest EoF Release' post by @@raynebc, (see page 72) about an issue he had that was causing the fret hand position to jump around...? I was unsure if this is independent of the other issue, so I tried to recreate the CDLC with no DDC, and it failed again, but for some reason, I was able to generate for XBox. It only failed for PS3 when I tried this song before, all the 6 or 7 CDLC I have worked on since, have successfully generated XBox files. This is the new error, I think its the same as the old one, but only for PS3: Regarding the tuning on Rhythm with the 2 lowest strings tuned to -2, that is correct, it is a G6 tuning, D-G-d-g-b-e. Please find my new project file here. Thanks again for your help!

  26. @@Tysylio, sorry, but all I can do is to add more sanity checks, Issue is that you've got old an old wwise which produce 2 extra blocks in wem file, so converter fail to pass them (blocks "Junk" and "akd" which useless to RS) have you tried new toolkit with wwise auto convert support? You can use wwise 2015 it's small fast and nice :P (feel like you've got 2011 ish one?) Also you've got no templates(push "save template" before generate, autosaving was pulled out long time ago for converting things) for this cdlc so I readded all the info again, rhythm has -2 at 2 low strings which is missprint to me...

  27. This is most likely your video card that can't handle a proper 30FPS. Get into the graphic area and get rid of most of the option to avoid charging the GPU with unwanted processing. Any GPU is capable of managing a video editing software, but the more power the GPU have the faster it render a video. The fact that the lag is less important in riff repeater is because most video effect are deactivate reducing the GPU charge needed.

  39. First goes and first impressions: http://i.imgur.com/koLkZHR.jpg For some reason, I thought it'd be a great idea to play this song I have never heard before with no guitar audio! Let's just say that performance was anything but dazzling. The chord shapes are all easy but the speed and strumming patterns sure are hard for Intermediate. http://i.imgur.com/fpHDsQe.jpg Solid vocalist, solid tune. Was nailing it, and then suddenly arpeggios. http://i.imgur.com/UT503wu.jpg Video games! I had a blast with Sands of Time back in the day. Mmmm, that tone is delicious. http://i.imgur.com/7KzskAu.jpg I was never a huge David Bowie fan, but I really respected his prowess and his intrepidness to be whatever he wanted to be in a time that was much more judgemental of people who acted atypically. Here's to you, Ziggy. What's most comfortable for me is index on G string, middle barring A and D, and the other two on the other two. If you've got a buff pinkie, you could bar B/E with it and finger the rest like a standard E major. :muscle:

  42. First bass playthroughs and comments: Beg: http://i.imgur.com/p8LsH58.jpgMostly root note chugging after the intro, but some nice grooves to keep you focused. Int: http://i.imgur.com/p0bvJ0u.jpgI'd say most of the slides would make more sense as unpitched, but whatever. Not bad for learning the fretboard. Adv: http://i.imgur.com/ren38J3.jpg When I started playing this, I was kind of impressed with how the slides were charted. Then the chorus came, and I absolutely hate how that was charted. Also seemed like the sync was pretty far off in places. Don't think I'll be playing this again. MC: Sightread (in which I screwed up my hand position for a while in the solo), then http://i.imgur.com/Zby8BsZ.jpgI definitely wouldn't say this is a 10. It's not easy, but it's definitely easier than The Lemon Song, from what I remember many people didn't consider that to be quite a 10. I'd put this more in the 8.5-9 range. Anyway, I'll almost be surely adding more sections to the instrumental part of the song. One long section for the bass solo stuff is kind of ridiculous.
