  2. Hello CS! Finally got my guitar fixed. I don't plan on being eternally missed, so here's that to get the rust off. Muse has so many b-sides I've never heard of. http://i.imgur.com/NBPh9AZ.jpg Have never heard this one before either. Having played nothing but acoustic for the past few months, chords are really easy for me lately, but I'm super out of practice on the melodic shreddy stuff. http://i.imgur.com/hDFJgr7.jpg I got the distinct feeling that it wasn't as hard as it seemed, so I RRed the chorus a few times and it got a lot simpler. http://i.imgur.com/j4Tkj1w.jpg Gonna take a lot of work if I want my advanced throne back.

  4. Hey all, Unfortunately during development today we ran into an issue that caused us to restore to a backup from 12 PM EST. All posts and replies are gone after that time and will need to be recreated. I apologize and we're working on steps for this to never happen again. Thank you for understanding.

  5. While we await a solution for this issue this is what I do in order to decide if I download (obviously there are exceptions): 1. If known (to me) quality magna charter - I download 2. If not yet known (to me) charter and a magna charter has left positive comment - I download 3. If not yet known (to me) charter and then if there is no playthrough or no RR (if he/she cannot do the easy stuff ...) or only 1 arrangement (sign of someone who copied tab verbatim or non-completionist) or no vocals (vocals inclusion is an indication of completionist effort) - I do not download 4. If not yet known (to me) charter but the charter has written meaningful posts in the past (I will check), then I try to find time to coach them with whatever knowledge I have. Contrary to my suggestion in point 2 I tend to write my feedback in personal messages in case the person might be sensitive to having mistakes exposed. If the person doesn't answer within a week, I post the feedback on the posting topic. So in the interim magna charters please leave as much feedback as possible since we trust your judgement. Since we can't coach everyone, how about coaching that person who made a song you love. If we are 200 magna charters then that is at least 200 new charters who'll get first hand instruction and who'll make more songs we love. New charters, ask lots of questions. Show screenshots of your issues. We love to answer specific questions. It is easier than us sitting through frustrating playthroughs after the fact pointing out the 16 things you could do to make your CDLC perfect. Also why not ask a charter you trust to try out your song before you release it. Most will be flattered your trust them with your baby. Some like to release version 1.0 knowing it is very rough around the edges, I instead think you only have one or a handful of chances to make first impressions so please be patient and resist the temptation to release. I know it is hard but you'll get more appreciative comments and higher download counts if you prevent people feeling like you wasted their time, which being a giver of your effort, I am sure it is not the feeling you want to elicit. I think this site has enough tutorials and helpful people in the EoF forum that anyone intent on doing a good job will do a good job. So sometimes I wonder if a bad CDLC is an effort problem. All this said, thank-you to new charters and magna charters for all you efforts. It's certainly not easy to get started but luckily with a bit of a nudge and a bit of perfectionism, you are in for some serious adulation. Look at PC Plum, he's a rock star on this site. Who will be the next rock star?

  8. This is the last test i've done which is in sync and works prety well (the chart isn't 100% correct though but that's another issue) I'm the one doing those videos and i still need to do a "how to" video that will come one day "soon". @@ZordonFreeman : Yes it can work with any electric drum kit as long as you are able to have a midi signal which every single electric drum kit have i believe (i used the Rock band drum kit only because that's the only one i have on my hand). I don't think it will ever be possible to do that with any kind of acoustic drum kit for one simple reason is that Rocksmith looks for a clearly defined pitch that an acoustic drum kit can't create as far as i know. @@joe21121 : you don't need that much strings, having a string by element is the wrong way to go for multiple reason and mostly because you can't have more than 3 element to play at the same time (4 if you consider that you use 2 pedal). The way i do it i have the lowest strings as the kick, then 3 strings for the toms and 2 strings for the cymbals, with that combination unless you need 2 pedals at the same time you can chart anything since you have 24 fret to indicate which tome/cymbals/pedal you use at one given time. If you absolutely want to use 2 pedal at the same time you can always do 2/2/2 strings for pedal/tom/cymbal and you can chart anything with that.

  9. You probably have the "Adjust notes/beats" option enabled in the leading silence window, whereas before you disabled it. Anyway, it's better this way. No need to shift notes around if you're importing from a gp file. Also with regards to vocals, you can just go to track_vocals, press ctrl+a to select everything, and then move everything 3 seconds. The Marks (blue lines) that denotes where a line starts and ends does not move with it, so you'll have to remark them (shortcut: ctrl+m). Also remember: LYRIC SUSTAIN. Keep that spacebar pressed for however long that syllable is sung. http://customsforge.com/topic/11210-lyric-tutorial/
    1 point
  10. It's fine if the first beat starts at 3 seconds. Rocksmith 2014 jumps to a few seconds before the first beat marker, so 3 seconds of silence works just fine. Also, of course the original.mp3 won't have the leading silence. It's the original. You need to convert the .wav file that eof generated to a .wem file (using wwise directly or using the toolkit) for use.

  11. I think I see what you're saying. I don't remember the grid lines highlighting the notes themselves, just changing the color of the vertical lines that run through each note. If you want, I could make these lines more prominent. @@Stowy The hotfixes only work when applied to the most recent release candidate (download link is in the same thread as the hotfix). Otherwise you'll end up with errors like the one you mentioned. About the leading silence, if the stream copy option didn't work (the OggCat utility sometimes doesn't like certain OGG files), selecting the re-encode option usually works fine.

  12. F1 will bring up the help that come with almost any software if they respect the convention when it comes to hotkey. Also yes i was serious because i don't think you'll see many videos of people actually doing transcription because it's something that you do with your ear and guts and that at first you'll get wrong 50% of the time without even noticing it at first. Having knowledge in music theory will help you for using GP, if you need you can also use any tools you want (paper/EOF/any DAW) and even a combination if you feel like it. You didn't bring up any of your background in music related to transcription or what did you try to do exactly so i throw general information to what might help you use GP more efficiently. Also keep in mind that GP isn't made as a transcription software but a tabbing one. It won't help you to figure out note/tempo/rhythm or anything else, it's just a place to enter what you found by yourself.

  16. Hi, Guys Looks like we have 24 Members and Guests in the Classic Rock Coalition Social Group now. I have started on a big project, I have the Beatles Tab book for the album A Hard Day's Night, and plan on charting the whole album in one continuous 30 minute long Custom, and post all the singles also. Got 6 of the songs in different stages of completion. I just hope the Tab book's Lead Path is accurate enough. I guess I will find out soon, once I get the song A Hard Day's Night Lead path charted. I figure it's going to take a while. I also have tickets to a Classic Rock Concert here in Dallas, TX - 6/12/2015. To see the new line up of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blue Oyster Cult, and Eddie Money. I hope B.O.C. plays Cities On Flame With Rock and Roll. I plan on getting some video with my cell phones. Let me know if you have any trouble getting into this members only area? Later, Terry

  32. Yeah, OggCat (used for the stream copy option) can malfunction if it doesn't like the OGG file. I've got an item on the to-do list where I eventually want to have EOF examine the length of the resulting OGG file and try to determine when OggCat has failed, and offer to re-do the leading silence with the re-encode option.

Much different than the one already posted) Black Sabbath - Lonely is the Word John Mellencamp - Ain't Even Done with the Night John Mellencamp - I Need a Lover .38 Special - Caught Up in You .38 Special - If I'd Been the One Red is the one I'm currently working on, teal are the ones I have planned. I wasn't paying attention the first concert I went to and the mosh pit formed around me lol im skinny so I bounced around like a ping pong ball. I drink just enough to stay hydrated and not enough to have to pee. I wouldnt wait for your band if you wanna get close hop up during an opening band and stick to that spot alot of people swarm the place once the main band appears at the concerts I went to. Of course if you are going to be intoxicated none of that will probably matter anyway.
