  1. 2. bass scores! White Limo Bass, 99,88% Missed one or two notes... White Limo Bass MM, 95,96% Just for fun and to see how good i memorized it, and despite the score, it was only subpar in my opinion Starstruck Bass Lemon Song Bass Cant really handle the Starstruck Bass lick where it goes B-A-F#-D-B and other variations... too fast and the string skipping on top, my fingers cant handle that yet. The Lemon Song was quite awesome to play, but still, fingers too slow. Good Ol' John is rocking that bass I hope i will get to my guitar next time...bass is sooo much fun ;D cheers!

  3. some first scores. Black Keys Too Afraid to Love You, 100% Bass Chill song, i think i could go to Intermediate soon ;P White Limo 99% Bass That was exhausting! I really need to practice my right hand on picking lots of consecutive notes. But still, proves its Intermediate Bass time for me White Limo Lead, 77% Lead That was...confusing for me, hahaha. But all in all not that difficult if you got the picking down Rainbow Starstruck 90% Lead Awesome song, but maybe would have changed this one with White Limo for the classes. Lemon Song, 84% Lead Love it. need to get those bends and all those solos down cheers!

  5. I'm back this week and struggling through Starstruck (adv bass). Even on RR at 80% speed, I still get 20+ missed notes. At full speed I only have 90% accuracy. I'm just not fast enough. On the other hand, I have all week to fix it.

  9. I gave up on finally getting 100% on the beginner bass song. I always make a stupid mistake in a random place, so 99.66% was as close as I could get. ;) http://i.imgur.com/45N8nLu.jpg I also tried the intermediate and was happy to get 94.2% on it my first play through. http://i.imgur.com/O6BeBf5.jpg

  15. Did I miss a memo on some change in how to post links to screen shots on Steam? The dialog box looks different and asks for "anchors". I am unable to click either [OK] or [cancel] and the only way to close the window is to close the whole browser. Alternately, was my vacation better than I thought and I'm just doing something stoopid? BTW, on Starstruck bass, I'm up to Accuracy or 94.15% with a longest streak of 127

  16. I decided not mess with ratings made by selectors, unless I have to completely dissagree with them. @ Target score is who's score? Nacho's? :P I feel that Limo is easier then Starstruck. I can get good sound in 90% speed in Limo, while with Rainbow I can't do so. Also Limo has less different sections then Rainbow. I'm not saying Limo is easy, it's difficult, but I'm here with Nacho, that it's not Advanced level. I would say that Underwear is not Advanced either. Still final rate is sum of all opinions, and I don't think that you can make a formula for it.

  18. There seems we have a few angles for rating of a songs and placement in suitable class. An example: 1.Target score 95% at the end week, no matter sounds (if rate=real rate-2) and all have terrible sounds at the end week 2. Target score 97% not mutter sounds rate=real rate -1 3. Target average 97% and good sounds( necessary techniques, right timing, correct muting). it if real rate is right (rarely rate=real rate+1) (most have good sounds at the end week, and no one have disappointed hardcore a song and impossible competition beyond skill. There real average rate>>> beg=2, int=5, adv=7. mc.=9. a lot 97%, all have good sounds. If rate less >> beg=1, int=4, all we have about 99% and very good sounds. And if rate +1 >> beg=3, int=6, adv=8.mc=10 we still yet can to get 95% and enough good sounds. 4. And yet good players, have hobby to set rate= real rate-1(rarely -2) :P I think rate of a song by Foo Fighter turned of the first point and four point. So rate any way +1(of 1 point) and +1 (of 4 point), so real rate 7. Thus now intermediate class have not chance to get good sounds, and to learn correct techniques Would be good, if all who put ratings, accept 3 point. And yet who want hardcore challenge can level up its class or to play a song from above class for fun. Sorry my language :) google translate not big helper i hope anyone understood what i want say, and help me explain for other participants.

  19. @@Mortalo I think point of this competition is to learn a song in a week and not to practice for a week with no results (thats why i am not in advanced) and if I play this song at 95% and still sound like shit,I think something is not right haha :D I was pretty much nailing 4 no uta at 95% :P

  20. Can definitely play it better, my hand just keep dying after one play. I can't bend the first part of the solo and if I would mute the background music it would probably sound like shit :D I got the riff pretty much tho. 23. On measure 17 and 51 you have a 35 fret on the lowest strings. I know EOF had some import bug that created those kind of weird fret value on an older version. @@raynebc : i probably know what's causing this import issue. In the GP file the on measure 15 to 18 (and 49 to 52), the lowest strings is link all the way which is just the tab being badly created cause the guitar doesn't let ring that lowest string anyway. The bug also happen with r1777 (haven't moved to the 1778 yet). @@droxid : i've learn that trusting the gp import is not the best way to go. All gp file have their own flaws and EOF might from time to time have is own too. On another point EOF did warn you about the exact issue and you might also have seen the fret number fly by on a fingering panel.

  24. @@Rodman Can I ask what it does again ? i kinda didnt get it last time :D Sure! It does nothing but split the guitar signal in two - so Guitar goes to ABY - from there A - Real tone Cable to PC B - Cable to Amp (Line 6 Spider 15 in my case) Guitar is muted in RS so you get 100% lagless real amp tone. My amp features a CD/Mp3 in so audio out from pc goes to amp too and from there i get the mixed tone - real guitarsound + RS backing to my 5.1 over lineout or to my headphones, but this would not be needed. The main reason i went that path is when i "master" a song which means 95-97%+ i always used to go to real amp to check my playing and quite regularly had to learn that the RS mixed in guitar output, even when music set to 50% is very "player friendly" ;). So only true non sugarcoated guitar output for me from now, i think i can go perfectly with 4 predefied channels.... I think when you are a master of the instrument this is nonsense but for a starter like me its a great way to try to improve the sounding of my playing.

  27. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=412700472 Really enjoy playing this one so used up my practice time on it to try perfect it. Began committing it to memory so might try a MM video later but having little time sucks giant donkey cojones. I'll have probably forgotten it by the evening. Will do Rainbow later, I feel that particular tune deserves much more than the duration of the song... was thinking earlier about the amount of times I've booted up RS and wondered how many minutes I've wasted just waiting around to get to LAS or SA. I think once a game's booted up for the first time, you should never have to go through all that R...o...c...k...s...m...i...t...h... twen-ty,,, fourrrr-teeeeen, shenanniganary. Days.... DAYS of time I've lost waiting for that to go do one so I can play... I could have leant all that time to learning Rainbow! (first world problems eh...) ;)

  28. Hi, folks. The latest hotfix (r1378) is in the first post. Changes are as follows: *Improved GP import to process bend status for grace notes, it will apply a bend strength to the grace note corresponding to how many frets higher the normal note is. *Improved GP import to add linknext status to sliding grace notes, since this should more accurately reflect the grace notes as a slide-in technique. *Improved GP import to drop the sustain for staccato notes if the "GP import truncates short notes" preference is enabled and the notes in question don't have any techniques that would require the sustain to be kept. *Improved GP import to drop string muted notes that are combined with non string muted notes, since Rocksmith's detection of muted notes in chords is poor. *Improved the menu system so that the mouse doesn't automatically activate submenus unless it is moved. *Added a "Click to change dialog focus" user preference to indicate whether a click is required to change various dialogs' field focus instead of just mousing over it. *Improved the automated fret hand position generation logic to allow positions as high as fret 21 to be created, unless either Rocksmith 1 or Rock Band export is enabled (since neither of those games support a FHP higher than 19).

  29. I didn't want to get into that because it could get complicated... :( He did mention it was only set to that when the game is on. Might be to do with the game engine, and how it analyses the guitar signal. Maybe it's easier (or quicker on less powerful systems like Xbox 360) to analyse 11KHz than 48KHz. I dunno, only guessing :D

  30. Like the guitar always being on, I just remembered that. It's so subtle in RS14 that its always on, only when you go back to RS12 do you notice that its not on. You are like, wtf is my cable broke? Where's my guitar sound?? How the hell did I ever get on when I can only hear my guitar during gameplay??? Now I fancy RR'ing that section so I'll just press space bar... doh, wtf. I have to come out of the song, and load up (like literally load for ages) that one fkn section. Oh sht I loaded the wrong section, balls. In RS12s defense, I did absolutely love making up a set list then "performing" it to my adoring (and very sexy) fans. Think that should definitely come back in RS16, unlocking bigger venues to play in. And also the rank system. You are now a Guitar God and can play at Wembley. Minted :D

  31. I never have to ubi login as it goes right to rocksmith (I think UBI login is automatic). The rest of the things you mention have merit but are easily overlooked once you really dig into rocksmith and CDLC. There is no way I could use 2012 either although there are some things I miss, overall RS14 is solid. I HAATE the keyboard input navigation, as it was coded by a bunch of monkeybutts.

  33. Is there a way to easily remove specific songs from a {CDLC} psarc archive file using the custom toolkit? Easy ... not for most. Is there a way ... yes. Follow this 25 step tutorial for modding CDLC content: Using CST, select the Packer/Unpacker menu tab. Check box "SNG to XML". "Decode Audio" is only necessary if you want to listen to a song (*.ogg) file with a music player. Press "Unpack". Select a CDLC file to modify. (CST will unpack CDLC in this step.) Open the CDLC content folder (CDLC_NAME_p_Pc) Open the subfolder 'audio' Open the subfolder 'windows' Use my new tool, "Audio Cross Reference for Rocksmith 2014". Download ACR here. Drag/Drop the *.bnk files from subfolder "windows" onto the AudioCrossReference.exe file icon. ACR will tell when it is done working. Now back to CST. Select the "Creator" tab menu. Make sure Rocksmith 2014 radio button is select. Select the desired "Platform" check box(es). Click the Arrangements "Add" button. Click the "Browse" button in the Add Arrangement popup form. Open the CDLC content folder (CDLC_NAME_p_Pc), same folder as step 5 above. Open "songs" folder. Open "arr" subfolder. Select the arrangement *.xml file that you want to repackage. Repeat step 11-14 to add additional arrangements. Back in CST the "Song Information" should populate. Be sure to make changes to Song Information (title, artist, album, etc.) that is representative of the modified content before continuing. Click the "Album Art" button. Again open the Open the CDLC content folder (CDLC_NAME_p_Pc). Open "gfxassets" folder. Open "album_art" subfolder. Select the album_CDLC_NAME_256.dds file and click "Open". Click the "Convert audio on Wwise 2013 for Windows ... *.wem" button. Again open the Open the CDLC content folder (CDLC_NAME_p_Pc). Open the "audio" folder. Open the "windows" subfolder. Select the new CDLC_NAME.wem file that was created with ARC tool in step 8. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT select the CDLC_NAME_preview.wem file by mistake. Click "Generate". Now is the time to change the default CDLC file name to be more representative of the content then click "Save". Wait for "Package was generated" message. Move the new CDLC package to the game dlc/cdlc folder. Remove the original CDLC package. Start the game and play your new CDLC arrangement. Give it a try and let me know if you have questions after you have re-read these instructions 5 times. Do not ask me about non-PC platforms. If all the songs from the original CDLC package still show up in the game after modification, then you need to use my Game Save Gigbox tool to Sync your game save with the newly modified CDLC content. The ACR program is for educational use only and may not be sold or purchased. Any activities that may negatively effect the original authors, Ubisosft® or Steam content in anyway are not condoned or supported. Rocksmith users should remember to support Ubisoft® and Steam by purchasing original game content and software releases so that these companies may continue making products that we enjoy. EDIT: The process of adding or removing arrangements is very easy now. Using the latest version of the toolkit (CST) ... select the Creator tab. Pick a game version. Then at the bottom of the GUI click on Import Package. Import a CDLC song into creator then you can add, edit, modify, save or do just about anything you want to the CDLC package. Like change tones, volume, artwork, even change album, title, artist information. Finallly, click on Generate to repack and be able to play the modified CDLC. Even converts RS1 to RS2 CDLC.
