My hands are messy today :( It's absolutely freezing here and I had to massage my hands for about 20 minutes before warming up so only had 2 run throughs of this song before time ran out :( more time later for practice /sigh.

  7. Advanced Rhythm: 96.22 % http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=383372245 Surprisingly high score, but I bet it sounded shit! Also the nonexistant tremolos help with high scores, and the very forgiving note regognition in the intro parts. Lead: 94.68 % http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=383373557 Also nice score, all things considered. But I don't think I would rate this song 8 (7 instead). The overall tempo is quite high, but there are no super difficult parts, no solo. When there are solos that I am simply not fast enough for, I consider it a high difficulty. But in this case the problem is (only) to keep up the tempo for such a long time. By the way, do you agree with the sync problems I posted on the song page?

Meh Struggling to find time this week so the next few nights I'll dedicate to Coheed. I might give MC another try, I kinda liked it :)

  11. Hi, folks. I'll be using this thread to maintain the latest versions of EOF in one place. To start, download and extract EOF 1.8RC12: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ih70h6p67iy77ka/eof1.8RC12.zip You can keep that zip file handy to avoid downloading it more than once. When I release a new hotfix, all you have to do is replace the files from the above zip file with the ones from the hotfix. The latest hotfix (9-26-2020) is here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/6xzg32k4a9gqwxs/eof_hotfix_%289-26-2020_4%29.zip/file *If you use a non QWERTY US English keyboard layout, and keyboard controls/shortcuts aren't working for you, please make a post describing what keyboard shortcuts aren't working, and what the Info panel says the "CODE" and "ASCII" values are after you use each of the keyboard controls in question. I can make Mac releases and will try to post one with each Windows release, but my ability to do so is sometimes limited. If I don't get around to releasing a Mac build you want, just remind me to do so. The latest Mac build (9-26-2020) is here: http://ignition.customsforge.com/eof/download/487 Unless you have oggenc and LAME installed (these don't come with the Mac build for licensing reasons), you won't be able to have EOF automatically convert from MP3 to OGG when you create a new chart. If you have trouble getting those set up on your system, here is a package that should get them installed and usable by EOF: http://www.t3-i.com/apps/eof/downloads/eof_utilities.pkg Please provide any and all feedback, including bugs and feature requests. If possible, also please review the included documentation (manual, tutorials) and let me know if you find any room for improvement there. Eventually I plan to add a Rocksmith authoring section to the pro guitar tutorial, but the community's knowledge of the Rocksmith songs' makeup changes pretty quickly so it's hard to know when particular features are considered fully known. For any features that ARE fully known (like anchors), please feel free to remind me if they aren't incorporated into EOF yet, in case I missed any information being passed around on this forum or the Google group. Note: If you are reporting a bug, please specify which hotfix (date) you're using. I release hotfixes on a somewhat random schedule, sometimes more than once per day, so the issue being reported may have been fixed in a release you haven't tried yet.

  13. Following the discusssion here about bass recognition problem below C1 note and possible creation of 5 strings bass part here is the tutorial to get the recognition to work and to actually make possible a 5 strings bass part in Rocksmith 2014! I. Bass recognition workaround First off, it's only necessary to do this when the bass part have note below the C1. Which means any B Standard or lower and C# drop B and lower tuning need to go through this operation. Step 1 : EOF Tuning change Select the bass part (Song -> Track -> Part Real_Bass or Part Real_Bass_22)Change the tuning (Track -> Pro Guitar -> Set Tuning) following the rule belowFor each strings, the number will be equal to the number of half steps below E standard plus 12. Exemple : for B standard each fret is 5 half steps below standard (-5 in EOF) so you will indicate in eof -5+12=7 for all the strings Note that when you import a GP file EOF take the tuning from it, so you will just have to add 12 to the number indicated in EOF. Say NO when EOF ask you to transposeNote that the strings name should keep the same in EOF, or it means that you didn't add 12 Step 2 : Toolkit tuning Add the bass arrangementDon't change the tuning (it import the one from EOF)Change the Tuning Pitch to 220 (the toolkit indicate an offset of -1200.00 and the note will A3 instead of A4Do everything else as alwaysStep 3 : Enjoy! II. 5 strings bass Step 1 : EOF 5 strings bass part Disclaimer : Create your 5 strings bass part in EOF in a guitar part as you will usually do with any partFor the tuning, if you've imported it from a GP file you don't have anything to do. If you've created the part in EOF, change the tuning in EOF just by getting the name of the strings right (doesn't care for the higher strings if you kept 6 strings in EOF) The standard for 5 and 6 strings bass would give the following tuning in EOF : Step 2 : Toolkit bass part Add a new arrangementSelect your xml file containing the 5 strings bass partType : GuitarName : Lead or Rythm, it will just change where it will be in rocksmithTuning : Should be the same as in EOFCheck the bonus arrangement if you don't want the bass part to be too easy to start with a guitar because a guitar won't be able to play it!Change the tuning pitch to 220 instead of 440.Do as usual for the tone.Step 3 : Enjoy! Warning : A guitar player won't be able to play it normally (maybe if you have a pedal that allow you to play as low as a bass)Alert the player that this is available, Rocksmith absolutely doesn't alert you by himself!Rocksmith used the lower tuning between the normal arrangement and the bonus one for sorting by tuning so if the bass use a lower tuning (based on the number set in EOF) than the guitar arrangement, RS will indicate the bass tuning! I forgot to mention the men that made all of this possible by his findings : Ross A big thanks to him!

  15. I've posted an earlier version of this previously - though not in it's own topic. Maybe it will help someone; I use it as a desktop wallpaper.. Basically it's all the notes on a Fretboard (EStd tuning). I thought the ones I could find online were, well, a bit crap - so I did my own. This is updated with a higher res, scales and a graphic.. Update... v7 Changed background to Black. Shouldn't blind you anymore.. :) Previous one is in same public folder.. Cheers, H Link to reversed image (with low E at top and high e at bottom). Right click and 'view original' to get high res version. https://www.dropbox.com/s/32b3a7xy4yye42c/FretBoard%20NP%20V5flip.jpg?dl=0

  19. If you set a single note to the first finger it will tell the fret hand position generator (CTRL+SHFT+F) to set an anchor on that fret.

  20. The timing of the tone changes is not affected by the beats. Many (me included) make the wrong first assumption that you have to select a beat and then add the tone change marker. Instead the tone change is placed where the green vertical line in the left part of the screen (the current position of the song playback) is located. Press the buttons pageup or pagedown on your keyboard to seek to the correct beat. (ideally you would place the tone change just slightly before the first note with the new tone, not exactly on it). If you go for perfection and want your song really close to official quality, you might also be interested to have the metronome/drummstick ticks a count-in bar before your first note that you can hear in official songs. Check out this tutorial if you want to: http://customsforge.com/topic/13688-how-to-add-a-metronome-to-any-song-metronome-bonus-arrangement/ It will tell you how to best design your leading silence, have the measures in sync with the music (what firekorn mentioned) and add the count-in ticks inside EOF. The folder you shared doesn't contain the .ogg, so loading up the eof file doesn't include the song itself - no sound! Anyway, thanks for seeking advice! Too many people just release their stuff and develop bad habbits. It would be great to tell the name of the song you are charting and e.g. the tuning ;-) Won't tune to D standard now, but I would look at the eof file again, if you load up a new version and include the .ogg. Adding Arpeggios (shows the name of the chord ingame next to the note highway) or Handshapes (no chord name, somewhat "cleaner" look) is super easy: Select the notes that should be affectedSelect "Note"->"Pro Guitar"->"Arpegio"->"Mark" for Arpegios ORSelect "Note"->"Rocksmith"->"Handshape"->"Mark" for HandshapesThis will produce "ghost" chords. they don't actually show up ingame, but you can define the finger positions for the chord.

  21. IF you buy RockSmith 1. on ps3, you can import those songs to RS2014. it costs $10. to import them over though. ( own them both, so that's what I did. - any DLC you bought for RS1, will transfer over, with or without the import. also you can buy those separate as you want them. but the rs1 songs, i believe you can only get them to RS2014 if you own RS1, and import them.
