Happy Holidays! Before I begin with the announcements/news I want to congratulate all of our users for hitting over 100,000 posts. Additionally we're near to hitting 9,500 songs which is a huge milestone. We're close to hitting 60,000 users. Let's start this off with an update on Ignition. If you're not aware already we've been working on Search 3 (aka Ignition) for awhile now. We've dedicated ourselves to this project and want to bring everyone the greatest search engine for songs. As of today I want to announce that all Magna Charters will be able to beta test the new search soon. After we receive enough feedback and fix any search-breaking bugs we can release it to everyone. Changelog update for Search 2 to Search 3: Please note some of these features may not be included in the beta and released in the future Features not included but are currently being worked on: Introducing our new front page, the Ignition dashboard. This is a work in progress concept that will feature the latest Rocksmith news. Additionally on the left it will display search statistics (that you can set which ones you want) such as Newest CDLC, Recently Updated, Most Downloaded, Top Requests, Newly Fulfilled Requests & Latest Topics. A forum link that goes to the forums is displayed on the main navigation Requests: We're in the process of making requests integrated into the same theme for Ignition. We will release more information in the future. Creators: Creators is another work-in-progress project where users can manage the CDLC they have created. A wiki will be provided where users can provide guides & documentation. We've recently acquired http://rocksmithcustoms.wikispaces.com/and will intergrate this for everyone to use. Additionally links are provided to go to rocksmith toolkit & editor on fire. Search: Here are some screenshots. This allows you to manage the CDLC you have downloaded and it will show any updates. An alternative way to search by using our "browse" feature. View songs grouped by Artists, Albums, Tuning, Member, Added, Updated. Artist view. This is a current feature in search2 ported over. Better filters & search settings. An updated "2014-2015" design which looks and uses modern techniques. & plenty of more features. We're also working on improving the forums to bring a better experience. This will happen next year. There are plenty of more announcements in the future I hope you're looking forward to the future of CustomsForge. Very good score everybody. :) As some of you might have noticed, I haven't posted any screenshots this week. The reason is called Ibanez S-520WK :D After more than 6 months of waiting, I finally was able to order the guitar last week and I received it yesterday. I've never played with a guitar that had a floyd rose bridge and I received lots of tips and advices of what I should do when I received it. The entire setup took around 2h, but in the end, all strings were in perfect tuning, I can use the whammy how much I want and the strings never go out of tune. I'm more than happy with the guitar, it plays awesome and the floyd rose, well, AMAZING :lol: So, I've been playing a lot of songs that I always wanted to try with a floyd, but today I will make the 1st runs of the songs and post some screenshots later. Well my new guitar arrived but I am sending it back, really poor quality all round and also not the size stated in the write up... But that's what you get for a no brand piece of kit. Looking into getting another les Paul like my old one instead which is going to take a few months of saving and not eating for a while :) hohum...

I hated that you would need a 24 fret tho :)

Sick of manually fixing low bass tuning recognition? Use this tool! See the low tuning problem explained here : http://customsforge.com/topic/5227-5-strings-bass-and-low-note-recognition/ Great tool for metal songs, as many need this fix (anything below C1 tuning). http://i.imgur.com/RViJpas.png Instructions Download the latest test version of RS Toolkit Go to the DLC packer/unpacker tab. Select your options (all are optional). Quick Fix - Saves the working directory and fixed package in the same directory as the source package. The fixed package will be named the same as the source package, appended with "_bassfix". Delete Source File - deletes the source package. Useful for using the tool inside of your Rocksmith DLC directory. Select the unfixed, source package. If quick fix was not selected, choose the directory to save the working/package guts directory, and also choose where to save/name the fixed file. Enjoy your working bass tuning! I do it like most here, but I will play the song at 100% speed, and adjust the difficultly to something challenging, I do this to see which parts I can play with time and which parts I can't. Then I go back and slow the parts I'm having a hard time with, I usually slow it down in riff repeater (with accelerator on and error tolerance at low or zero) if I still struggle when it speeds up by itself, I'll slow it down and do it over and over again. Also, practicing scales on your OWN outside of Rocksmith is helpful...try going faster , also practice chords and changing them, I just have my guitar while I'm watching tv and practice scales and what not, up and down the neck.

It can be from the bad signal you get without the realtone cable. But more likely its from pressing to hard, soft or bending the strings. I did that all the time when i started, and i still do it if don't focus.

@@Kaijin Uu, nice, lovely, cute. May it serve you well. And I'm back at top 200 in Dux Redux! It took me around 10 months to beat my previous record (though I didn't tried much). Phew, it just clicked today. I also gave a try to Castle Chordead. That was nice nostalgia trip, as this F5 were going smoothly, and I remember year ago that my fingers didn't wanted to strech so far :D

Don't know if Jethro Tull is your style, but there are 11 customs at the moment. I think it might be called Folk Rock (?). Check out "Aqualung" or "Locomotive Breath" to see if you like them ;-)

Do anyone here know of any good online lessons for playing powerchords in drop tunings? For some reason i cant quite learn to do it the right way. My first tries on the songs: KKK took my baby away okay song. im not a big fan of the ramones, but this ones great for beginners for endurance training. Deathreay cool song, but i wont play it again, way to low tuning for my strings. But i think i will definietly try to hear into the band ;) Can i Play with Madness Again, no big fan of Iron Maiden, but this one seems kind of way too easy for them. I personally think its too easy for Int, but thats just my opinion. So to adress the creme da la creme For the Love of God The name says it all, this is one big mother of a song and i dont know if i have enought time this week to play it above 90-92%. Really great song, and im looking forward to see some awesome scores from the other MC Lead players. ~cheers

Ok, so here goes final difficulty scores for week 57 songs: Faith No More - Ashes To Ashes: Lead 3, Rhythm 2, Bass 2 Priestess- Lay Down: Lead 5, Rhythm 5, Bass 6 AC/DC - Moneytalks (gnobiwan's): Lead 8, Rhythm 7, Bass 2 AC/DC - Moneytalks (frippchen's): Lead 7, Rhythm 3, Bass 2 Aerosmith - Walk This Way: Lead 9, Rhythm 8, Bass 9 I give you one day for final comments. Tomorrow I will submit that scores. As both Moneytalks version are ok, I decided to include both of them (as they differ in difficulty).

Do NOT let the fun be taken away. As soon as it becomes a chore, you've lost. Get to "fixing" it whenever you feel the need.

All i am asking is to be patient with me, this year was horrible adn has taken a great dael of stress on me, I cannot wait for 2015, I just still need time, and when I am ready I will update the songs that you will request.

Whenever I try loading a CDLC while playing the game freezes. I see the 2 amps and if i strum my guitar it plays, but the game doesn't proceed to the song.

I leave the auto speed up on 100% difficulty , with 0 error tolerance. Then play at say 50% speed. Once you hit all the notes it will automatically speed you up 10%. Repeat until at 100%. Profit!!! I also work on the song in small sections, that way you burn the section into muscle memory.

I sometimes try to play along with songs on http://www.songsterr.com/ Its not as easy as reading rocksmith but with a bit of training it is doable.
