So turns out the Nino with the dash in his name is the real one. He has since been renamed to the one without the dash since the other guy had the username stripped. Sorry we doubted you man! The other one has been banned three ways from sunday, don't worry. To all other members - we did receive verification of which Nino is the real one (project files, etc) so we did double check on this. In the meantime, if you see any other people trying to fake him please report ASAP. Thanks!

One thing we should bear in mind is that we are not all expert custom song makers, nor are we all good guitar players. I know that not all dlc's are up to scratch but we shouldn't deter people from trying to make them, that might alter the great variety of customs we have here. I think it would be a good idea, for those customs that don't make the official list, to let the makers know what is wrong with their customs and to help them get their custom into the list. The more people we have making good customs the wider the variety of songs which can only be a good thing.

So I did a CDLC search for Pearl Jam and go no results which I found odd, Pearl Jam isn't exactly the least popular band around. I assume there is a reason for not having any Pearl Jam CDLC, I just don't understand why. Can anyone shed some light on this topic? Thanks.

There is one...? It's the third to last option, shoved between platforms and user. If it's not there, click "search settings" up top and make sure the option is checked. Damn it, I hadn't noticed this great feature! Thanks.

sorry for the lack of recent updates to the leaderboard and for my lack of participation this week I have been sick with the flu and its kicking my ass. Really great job from all of you, those scores are really impressive. Keep them coming as you can only continue to get better guys. @@Szur I'm a huge Led Zepplin fan and the chemistry between John Paul Jones and John Bonham was amazing. You really have to work at learning the songs all the way through. Following Jones as he goes off rhythm and back or while he holds rhythm while Bonham goes off and back makes the songs a bit more challenging then the notes may suggest. At least that's my take on it.

I find this thread in poor taste, especially calling out specific creators.

After seeing Fall Out Boy live yesterday... "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark" is embedded on my brain, plus my mother has been playing it all day lol

I use DD all the time for the official Rocksmith songs. For the most part, they've been pretty carefully developed. At least it seems like someone took the time to make the choices about what to show for each progressive level. That said, anyone who'd attempt to program DD in EOF has my admiration. Just the amount of time that would take -- just to make the right choices about what to include and what not to include. The DDC works pretty well, all things considered. It's easy enough to add that to a psarc, so I don't see why we shouldn't do this. More important than DD, I think is dividing the song up into sections. One huge disappointment of the RS2014 Riff Repeater is that the sections are still too long (in official songs). But CDLCs give us control over this. I'd like to see people be encouraged to add a lot more sections to each file -- it's easy to combine small sections. It's annoying to have to wait through an entire long section just to see the one or two notes you're not quite getting. Apart from a checklist, though, I'm against ratings of any kind. That just encourages bad blood -- and trolls. The comment threads are there for people to alert charters if something's not quite right with a custom. I know that's helped me out a lot.

If individual arrangements can be marked as "complete" (ie. is accurate, works in Riff Repeater, has tone, etc), it may be good for people that can't or don't want to author all arrangements.

Great ideas here! I think the most rewarding ability while playing an instrument is to be able to play what you hear.I wonder why Rocksmith has not included such essential lessons in the original lessons.What we need is some ear training lessons. I don't know if it is possible to do but I imagine this:Rocksmith plays a riff and the player has to repeat that riff on guitar. The notes of the riff will be hidden like in mastermode.The first levels will be two note phrases. The first note will be shown and the second note has to be guessed. This lesson is very usefull to begin to hear the different note intervals.The more advanced levels will be three note phrases, four notes etc. until we play little melodies by ear.
