  1. Hi, folks. I'll be using this thread to maintain the latest versions of EOF in one place. To start, download and extract EOF 1.8RC12: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ih70h6p67iy77ka/eof1.8RC12.zip You can keep that zip file handy to avoid downloading it more than once. When I release a new hotfix, all you have to do is replace the files from the above zip file with the ones from the hotfix. The latest hotfix (9-26-2020) is here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/6xzg32k4a9gqwxs/eof_hotfix_%289-26-2020_4%29.zip/file *If you use a non QWERTY US English keyboard layout, and keyboard controls/shortcuts aren't working for you, please make a post describing what keyboard shortcuts aren't working, and what the Info panel says the "CODE" and "ASCII" values are after you use each of the keyboard controls in question. I can make Mac releases and will try to post one with each Windows release, but my ability to do so is sometimes limited. If I don't get around to releasing a Mac build you want, just remind me to do so. The latest Mac build (9-26-2020) is here: http://ignition.customsforge.com/eof/download/487 Unless you have oggenc and LAME installed (these don't come with the Mac build for licensing reasons), you won't be able to have EOF automatically convert from MP3 to OGG when you create a new chart. If you have trouble getting those set up on your system, here is a package that should get them installed and usable by EOF: http://www.t3-i.com/apps/eof/downloads/eof_utilities.pkg Please provide any and all feedback, including bugs and feature requests. If possible, also please review the included documentation (manual, tutorials) and let me know if you find any room for improvement there. Eventually I plan to add a Rocksmith authoring section to the pro guitar tutorial, but the community's knowledge of the Rocksmith songs' makeup changes pretty quickly so it's hard to know when particular features are considered fully known. For any features that ARE fully known (like anchors), please feel free to remind me if they aren't incorporated into EOF yet, in case I missed any information being passed around on this forum or the Google group. Note: If you are reporting a bug, please specify which hotfix (date) you're using. I release hotfixes on a somewhat random schedule, sometimes more than once per day, so the issue being reported may have been fixed in a release you haven't tried yet.

  2. One of my all-time favorite songs.... v1.9-- Redrew beatmap to fix sync. Should be much better now.-- Re-charted some passages in lead part (should be easier to play).-- Fixed errors in lead part.-- Fixed strum pattern errors in rhythm part-- Changed passing muted chords in rhythm part to passing notes.-- Mild tone upgrades.-- Added Dynamic Difficulty-- Changed scroll speed to 2.0 http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/pale-blue-eyes-r1839 V.1.7: -- Reworked the sections. There are now lots of very short sections. Makes it much easier to work in the Riff Repeater. -- Reworked Lead tone. I think it's closer -- still can't quite get that sweet tube tone though. -- Fixed a minor error in the chart. V 1.6 -- Added a click lead-in (hope it works!) -- Fixed Rhythm Part - changed passing chords from open strings to mutes V. 1.5 (Release Candidate) -- Added Rhythm Part -- Fixed Bass and Lead parts -- Added lyrics -- Added tones V 0.2 --Added Bass Part (Tabbed by ear by yours truly -- see discussion below) -- Fixed Lead Part (discovered a ton of new errors in the original tab) V 0.1 -- Lead Part History: I started this project by unpacking a DAT prepared by someone else, planning to just repack it for RS2014, since the charter had disappeared and I couldn't bear going back to RS2012. But I discovered that he'd barely done any work on the file -- really just imported the GPro file for the lead guitar part available on the net. But the Gpro file is not at all accurate (it just repeats the verses and choruses, but the parts for each are quite different). There was also a problem with the audio file the original charter had used -- there was a bit of silence at the beginning, which threw off his entire beat-map. And the file wasn't great quality either. I ended up tossing out his audio, ripping my own CD in a high-quality format, then completely recharting the lead guitar part -- tabbing each verse separately by ear. So I do believe it's very accurate now. I also charted the bass and rhythm parts. Originally I'd intended to give the original charter credit for starting the project. But at this point, this one's all my work now.

  4. When you make a post, there are some toolbars with formatting controls. If you click the one at the top left (it looks like a light switch) it will disable the graphical representation of the quotations and just show the raw forum tags. I usually find it easier to cut out parts of text from quotes that way.

  8. Yeah gloves are off, I'm not arguing taste, I get taste. But when you say Saying no offense doesn't mean I'm not going to be offended. I am proud of American beer and yes I think your attitude is as big a problem as anything or maybe it's a language barrier. "So cute"? My god what a patronizing statement. I know beer. I love beer. I probably know more about beer than the vast majority of people. I can describe the chemical processes of beer production to you in detail. Saying that Germany and Poland make better beer than the US is like saying Germany and the US make better cars than the Japanese when they objectively don't. And your argument about beer advocate being an American site is just a strawman argument. The people on the site care about beer and many of them often go to great lengths to track down beer from outside of the country. If it sucks? They'll let you know. If it's good? Many of them will pay top dollar to get more. And while we're on the subject, I've had Tyskie. Its not very good, sort of a burnt caramel flavor. Too much corn and although the style usually has a moderate to low bitterness anyway it's just too sweet to be a good example of a Pale Euro Lager. And at almost 20% of the Polish market I'm going to say it's just what you're used to. And I don't mean like "It's a good beer" thick, it had ok lacing on the sides but that underlying sweetness had a very corn syrup taste to it. And the idea that you have sophisticated beer taste? A statement like that after calling American's talk about beer "cute" implies that others on here don't. I'm going to assume that this is either a language barrier or you're just trolling and it's working because god I don't get pissed off like this over much but for fuck sake this is European arrogance at it's best right here.

  9. Dude anyone who says America isn't a beer nation is drinking in the wrong places. There are so many microbrews that are awesome and generally available . If you think American beer is just "OK" at this point you either are drinking the mass market crap from the big 5 or so (you think Sam Adams is drinkable? That's just America's warm up act at this point.) or haven't been to America since the 90s when the situation WAS very sad. This beer snobbery from Europe has got to stop. I've drank beer from Poland and Germany. It's OK. It's better than the Korean beer. But when I'm back in the US you come see me, we'll go to Colorado and I'll show you what Europe is missing. Btw of the top 10 beers on Beer Advocate only 1 is from Europe at all. And it's number 8 on the list Trappist Westvleteren 12 from Brouwerij Westvleteren in Belgium. The other 9 are from the US.

I use the guts of dragons i slay to create bass strings that sound deeper than the halls of Valhalla and the hair of fair maidens i have shagged for my electric guitar strings (altho so far i can only manage 1 single string for a ukulele , i need to get more fit). But other than that Ernie Ball ;).
