What bands have you seen live? Who do you want to see? I've seen way to many to list them all, but include Green Day, Papa Roach, Patent Pending, Avenged Sevenfold, Kill Hannah, Bowling For Soup, Busted, Halestorm, 30 Seconds To Mars, Fall Out Boy, The Pretty Reckless, Status Quo, Slash, Funeral For A Friend to name just some of them. Seeing Halestorm tonight, this will be the 5th time i've seen them (2nd time in there own headline gig) and seeing Status Quo for the second time on sunday. Would love to see My Chemical Romance, but unless they decide to reform I doubt that will happen.

  5. I posted on Steam that a band I know by hart is Madrugada. Who have excellent songs to play too. Their front-man Sivert Høyem, has a solo career which is just the same for me. I checked here on CF too and was surprised not to find any songs of them. So I suggested them to Ubisoft. If you don't know them yet I suggest you check them out! Songs I picked were: The Frontman; Vocal; Beautyproof; Sirens; A Deadend Mind; Only When You're Gone (Live@Tralfamadore); Hands Up I Love You; Step In This Room And Dance For Me. All from the band Madrugada. That last song is actually one of the first songs I learned how to play. Sivert Høyem's songs are equally beautiful. The ones I s…

  11. Hi fam 1)Do you use 'flat tops' or flatwound strings? Is it worth it? They seem like a bit overpriced the cheapest I've seen is about 10€ for flat tops 2) Which nice hybrid picking songs and artists do you recommend? I'm trying to get past the absolute newbie level of course if there is cdlc the merrier D: Thanks in advance

  12. Could we get a sticky thread for: Best sites recommendations for accurate tabs All recommendations welcomed. (I've sunk to having to convert charted/scored music to tab: whilst trying to find a decent version of 'Damn I wish I was your lover'). Can I recommend an instant Ban on anyone who mentions 'ultimate guitar' EDIT: So far we have; Reddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/Guitar/ultimate guitar (good luck finding anything accuarate here)gtp-tabs911 tabssongsterr Alt - source someone who creates tabs,Recommended:- (note if your in doubt about the accuracy always check a few live and videos, particularly live studio videos).

A general question for bass players, not sure whether it's a personal preference or generally accepted rule for fret positions - when playing am 'A' do you play it as open string or position 5 on the E string, same goes for other open notes? When creating CLDC i seem to be faced with this issue often but tend to go for the non open string option, thanks

  14. I've been playing now for 3 years now and i only have a cheap amp (Marshall mg 10cf) and my 3 guitars. (and rocksmiht of course duh). But something tells me that i might need to add something to these. Like pedals for example. I've kinda want to get a good overdrive pedal and a distortion one, but i'm not realy a gear geek sadly (don't know much about gears). I also have a feeling that it's not necessary yet, because i don't have a band to play with and that's the other thing that bothers me. I've already written down more than 20 riffs for song ideas and don't have people to share with them.

Hello folks, Are here some people who can recreate a song just by hearing? It's Aerosmith's I Don't Want To Miss A Thing Song covered. He is using a backing track in the background and is playing single notes instead of vocals.. Here is a link to the song: https://youtu.be/4oWB0tyHsEg?t=28 Is there someone who can help me out? I'm able to recreate the first verse but when the chorus kicks in I'm totally lost.. I was trying to create my own CDLC but it's hard when you just started out on Rocksmith and can't see and/or understand what notes are picked.. :/ Cheers

How has anyone missed this song? It's my favorite, and if not the best on their newest album.. But I hardly hear anyone say a thing about it? The same could be said about As I lay Dying with songs like Overcome, and Parallels. If you haven't heard any of these 3 get over to youtube right now.. and Someone needs to upload these on to ignition. The request page alone doesn't allow a discussion or attention to be brought up, because honestly who really looks at it?! Anyway I just figured you guys might enjoy these along with that song The Oracle, by Godsmack I posted about in another thread. Post your feed back if you check these out.

  21. Hey Guys! Let me know if this is the wrong place to post (still new to these forums), but was curious how you would play this without hitting the string in-between the notes? Do you mute the center string with another finger, or forego the pick and try to strum with two fingers? http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/258378/ss_23d3e7f1c358391e5c4eaa7072f56aaeadf59316.600x338.jpg?t=1447358994 Thanks!

Doesn't have to be your favorite music to play or listen to. Just someone with skills or someone that inspires you. Got thinking about this topic when flipping through Stevie Ray Vaughan stuff. Great player don't listen to all that much of his music regularly but every time I do I'm impressed. Then I ran across a clip of him handling a broken string. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIFdMbhCa94 So who's skills keep you coming back? --Wrenth

Reading comments in the youtube page for the Riff Repeater performance of Walk the moon - Shut Up and Dance, y did read a guy saying that when this song was released he though it was going to be his new jam song, but that after that he ended up jumping back to Pantera. As a Rocksmith guitar novice can you explain me what was he was talking about. I mean whats that about using a song to jam, maybe like playing the song and adding notes by improvisation that make sense with the rith you are hearing. And what would make a song to be good for such purpose. Are there some most used songs by guitar players for jam..

I play bass, and often when I'm playing some songs on Rocksmith (original songs or custom DLC) I see what appears to be random fret choices. Meaning... a portion of the song is perhaps moving between the D and E notes on the A string (5th and 7th frets) and you get a groove going and then all of a sudden it may show the E on the D string (2nd fret). Why would the author of the song choose to jump there? Sometimes the spacial locality between the notes seems ridiculous and is exhausting. Bouncing between the 1st and 8th frets on the E string (F and C)? Why not just bounce between the 1st fret on the E string and the 3rd fret on the A string. I can't tell any differen…

I checked out GuitarJams and Guitartricks....Signed up on Guitartricks month ago...Decided to start from scratch with their lessons.. I have so far been progressing through Guitar Fundamentals 1 pretty easily.A…
