Ah, that's me being too Americentric.

#274953 Planning To Purchase My First 7-String, Need Your Opinion!

The second guitar you linked to was $25,000 that's quite a budget :)

Beware of muddy B-strings.  I agree you should test one out first.

I have a model kind of like this: http://www.rondomusi...ebcpflatbk.html

except with EMG pickups and probably a few other things

If you want to hear what it sounds like, I use it for (almost) all my playthrough vids:

#259732 Trippy Chords/Recognition issues on Mac

Posted by Rockfirstlast on 31 July 2017 - 08:26 PM

Ask the creator to generate song using the latest version of EOF, EOF hotfix, and latest Rocksmith Custom Toolkit.

I take that back.  I just played Tears like Diamonds v1.1 and there was no glitches on my end.

Also played Judy French, no chord glitches there.

Also played Wavezesz, no sliding notes in the intro.

Weird Mac thing maybe?

#259014 Bass songs with filter/wah

Posted by Rockfirstlast on 22 July 2017 - 04:31 AM

try using a hi fo filter before the effects to clean up the signal maybe if that helps maybe...

Thanks, I had better luck using the guitar Analog Filter (set to bandpass) with the sensitivity and Attack turned down.

#256602 CDLC Freeze

Posted by Rockfirstlast on 21 June 2017 - 01:33 AM

In addition to updating tools and repacking, let the toolkit do the wwise conversion for you rather than doing it yourself.

If you get a wwise error in the toolkit, use this version:

#248749 Is there a easier way to space out the notes when making CDLC's

Posted by Rockfirstlast on 16 March 2017 - 06:14 AM

Well, I was wrong about goplayalong "doing it for you".  You still have to sync.  Not sure why anyone would use it, let alone pay money to use it.

Beat mapping isn't fun, but it is necessary and takes time.  These are good tutorials:

Goplayalong does it for you, but it cost money.  I've never used it but others say it works.

I wouldn't recommend following a tutorial telling you to move guitar notes instead of beats.  If you have more than one arrangement it's a mess, plus the DD creator doesn't like it when you chart that way.  There are other reasons as well.

If you really wanna speed up the process, just sync the start of every section.  If the band plays with a steady tempo you may get lucky and that will be enough to be playable.

#247941 Screen not shifting with notes

Posted by Rockfirstlast on 01 March 2017 - 04:44 AM

Did you add sections and phrases? (the DD creator will do this for you)

i do believe i was prompted at some point at eof to make DD version,  im pretty sure i clicked yes

EOF won't auto create dynamic difficulty for you (the toolkit does).

Does your psarc end in DD_p.psarc or NDD_p.psarc?  If you go into riff repeater can you adjust difficulty levels?

If there is no DD:

Open up the latest toolkit and click on the DDC tab.

Drag and drop the psarc file into the box.

Hit Generate.

This will give you a file with DD.  You can verify by adjust levels ingame in riff repeater mode.

#246343 DLC not shoing ingame

Posted by Rockfirstlast on 12 February 2017 - 04:59 PM

Change the other key. Im on my phone and i forget what its called.

Import the psarc into the latest version of the toolkit. Change the key to anything else ex: cusacdcwnttm. Hit generate and see if it shows up.

What's Next To The Moon had a title sort of "Hard Rock".  You'll find that song in the H section.

Bad Boy Boogie has a DLC Key of "ACDC" which might conflict with another ACDC song (I had no problem loading it, but I had no other AC/DC songs in my list).  Change the DLC Key in the toolkit to anything else and see if it works.

-Download latest toolkit

-Click Import and select the file

-To the right of SONG INFORMATION change ACDC to something else

-Click Generate

#245718 Song Ends Before Starting, But Doesn't Freeze/Crash

Posted by Rockfirstlast on 05 February 2017 - 04:46 AM

I did some forum searching and I can't redistribute wwise on these boards, but you can still download the version that works with the toolkit.  On the wwise download page click "Older Versions".  Unfortunately you have to register on the site, but if you feel uncomfortable giving them your e-mail address just use a throwaway.

Download 2015.1.9 build 5264 (stable) and the autoinstaller will put it on your machine.  You do not have to delete the old version, just point to the right directory in the toolkit (likely C:\Program Files (x86)\Audiokinetic\Wwise v2015.1.9 build 5624).  FYI, I just installed this version and it works on my machine.

Now you will never have to open Wwise again, and you are less likely to make a mistake during the conversion process (a common error when the song doesn't start properly).

I bet that will fix the problem, but if it doesn't we'll go from there.

Yes, I created the .wem files in WWise;

No, there is no preview audio (although, I did make a preview audio file and put it through WWise also);

Yes, I have many other CDLC and all of the ones I've played work perfectly.

No need to use wwise yourself.  The toolkit will build the wem files for you.

Delete your wem files (keep the wav and _preview.wav files) and the toolkit will automate.

In the toolkit CONFIG menu make sure you are pointing towards the wwise directory (probably something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Audiokinetic\Wwise)

#244820 How to turn up the volume?

Posted by Rockfirstlast on 25 January 2017 - 01:29 AM

It helps to have a generic clean, lead, and distortion tone tied to keys 2, 3 and 4.

Sometimes this will work for a song with little effort.

Also, tone breakers will kill your volume until restarting the game, but there are very few of these.

#244819 How to turn up the volume?

Posted by Rockfirstlast on 25 January 2017 - 01:25 AM

Using the latest Rocksmith Toolkit beta: https://www.rscustom.net/builds

Click import at the bottom

Near SONG INFORMATION there is a volume button.  Move the number closer to 0 to get a higher MUSIC volume (example, change -7 to -4)

At the bottom are tones.  Click each one and raise the (negative) number to increase the GUITAR volume (example, change -20 to -30)

Click Generate to create a new psarc file.

Getting the right volume is trial and error during song creation, you might have to try a few times.
