#226194 Missing song, how to download again?

Posted by deansmayhem on 22 August 2016 - 06:28 PM

In steam under Rocksmith 2014 DLC, Try untick then tick the disc import tool and see if it redownloads?

Do you have other RS1 on disc songs show up in your setlist? Not having RS1 installed shouldn't matter, I have the songs on OSX even though Rocksmith 1 isn't compatible with it.

That worked!!!!! Thank you!!!!

I had to uncheck that, then close and restart Steam, then check it again. It pulled the songs down again! Woot!

#209164 I can't make a post!

I'm not sure what might be causing this problem, but I can solve the problem of losing a reply due to some glitch with a web site. If you use FireFox (or Chrome) just install an add-on called "Lazarus recover form". You'll never lose a reply or a post again.

I've been using it for years and it has saved my ass countless times.

FireFox; https://addons.mozil...-form-recovery/

Never lose anything you type into a web form again! Lazarus securely auto-saves all forms as you type, so after a crash, server timeout, or whatever, you can go back to the form, right click, "recover form", and breathe a sigh of relief.

Chrome; https://chrome.googl...kppkifgno?hl=en

Now, if there's a glitch and this reply doesn't go through, it just takes a couple of clicks to post it again. :)

#176196 What to do with Tab books and Rocksmith?

Yes, this is definitely a start!

Thanks for the replies. I'm not familiar with Editor on Fire, but at least now I know what EoF means. :)

#175940 What keeps you playing?

Posted by deansmayhem on 16 September 2015 - 08:43 PM

Compare it to making love with your partner. After a while, you don't need to do it everyday or 3 times a day. Eventually that passion will mellow and age, like a fine bourbon.

Don't feel guilty about that.

The music is your love, playing guitar is your expression of that love, but you don't need to express it (in that way) every day.

Some days I won't play, but I'm on youtube watching lessons or on this site looking for new songs.

As for my partner, she turned out to be a bitch so she had to go, but I do still enjoy some fine bourbon! haha! But not everyday. :D

But I play guitar when it suits me, and I do sometimes go a week or so without playing. That's what is so great about a hobby, you can do it when you want and that's it. No expectations from anyone else.

I "liked" your post, and if I could figure out how to give you "thanks", I'd do that as well. :)

If you mouse over the post there should be a link on the bottom (just to the left of Quote) for thanking people.

And @Nitemares, I'm glad you're enjoying things around here! It means a lot to me (and I'm sure the other makers of CDLC) to know that people are enjoying their works. Thanks for supporting the site!

Edit: I'll also add, for people without much disposable income for supporting the site, I know I and many other charters would like to have more constructive feedback on our customs. If more people could give feedback beyond a "Thanks" on our uploads, I'm sure it would help increase CDLC quality across the board. Thanks!

Got it. Thanks! :)

Hey Greg, thanks for the reminder. I feel the same way you do.

Those of us that "feed" off the work of others should really pitch in when we can.

I've donated before, but am going to go do it again.
