Best wishes to you guys.  Glad to hear you're safe.  It's a shame to have to discuss it all.

#211481 EoF saving backups as .BAK instead of .eof

Posted by manchot66 on 16 April 2016 - 06:45 PM

Awesome.  Thank you, guys.  Lost about 4 hours worth of work and I'm hoping the backup files are going to save me on this one.  Fingers crossed.

Thanks, @albatross213 and the always awesome @raynebc!

#135534 3/6/2015 Search2 Update

Posted by manchot66 on 06 March 2015 - 12:50 PM

I quite prefer to open the CDLC's page in a new tab to browse the release notes and comments at leisure - it's a personal browsing / user interface choice thing,

I'll keep using the old search as long as it's available, so please do not turn it off.

Agree with ZagatoZee.  ZZ, if you go to the options 'cog' in the upper right hand corner and then set the 'sort by' column to 'last updated' it will show newest cdlc first, just like old search.

I'd say you should go with the ones that every guy that picks up a guitar wishes to play, you know, stuff like Enter sandman, Stairway to Heaven, Sweet Child o' Mine, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Comfortably Numb, Californication, Hotel California, Iron Man, I could really go on and on, but you get the idea. These are all songs that have DD, everybody wants to learn to play, have great tones and will surely attract some attention since they have not been (And in cases like GNR will most likely never be) released by Ubisoft.

Agreed.  Try to hit the broadest market possible.   Or have the guitar classics everybody wants to learn sprinkled with a few lesser known bands that would really give someone a woody like Blind Guardian, Modest Mouse, Buckethead, Clutch, etc.  Also, if I had never played guitar, and even if I had, some of the faster metal might scare the shit out of me and I would think I could never do that.  Just a thought.

#89618 How Do I Import MIDI Files into EOF?

Posted by manchot66 on 13 September 2014 - 11:20 AM

A couple easy ways to convert to gp5 from different types of files:

Online converter for gpx, ptb, midi, etc (nothing to download or install):  http://www.webtabplayer.com/

Directions for using Tuxguitar (needs a small free add-on but very easy): http://www.wikihow.c...tar</span>-1.2)

I've heard reports that webtabplayer.com can produce errors in conversions, but I haven't had any yet.

Just my own curiosity, who is the war criminal on their board?
