Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 661
Lead scores I played this song so long ago and then forgot. But I don't know if it was the same CDLC, maybe an older one. Diff rating 2.5 is too low in my opinion. I think (and I think I've mentioned this before) that @cacahuate51, for you, easier arpeggios don't pose any problems, so you're giving it a low rating, but it's a somewhat difficult technique for beginners. Overall, most of the song is easy, but this in screenshoot is quite awkward. For me, this is a 3/3.5. This is a 3, and for me, it's easier than Men At Work. But that's my personal opinion, because for me, charts where the notes are based on the vocal line always seem easier. I give 2.5. Really classic song. Not very fast but technical chart, more than 4.5 for me. Slides, hammer ons/pull offs, bends, and a lot of jumping over frets, for me this is at least a 5, because it's very difficult to achieve 99%, so if someone from intermediate could do it, they definitely deserve the advanced class. Besides, it's a really good CDLC. I remember back in the day (I checked, it was week 406) we were playing an older version of CDLC that was rated 6, perhaps a bit too high, and the chart was generally similar to this new version. We had a great fight for victory back then 😀 Really fun chart, I'd gladly play it again. I'd give this a 4. Advanced and Masterclass are quite similar in terms of difficulty. The Haunted song is harder excluding the solo (but that's my opinion because it's faster and that's a bigger problem for me), Dethklok song is mostly easier but has a very difficult solo (8.5 solo, 6 for the rest of the chart). It's hard to rate this chart, I think 8 is ok. The Haunted could also be an 8, but 7.5 is ok too.

Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 661
A nice hattrick of wins last week 😍 This happened to me before, but when I was competing in advanced in all paths, and now I'm in the rhythm masterclass, which raises the bar significantly. However, I think that my selection of songs did not appeal to the competitors enough to make them take up a fierce fight in my classes 😐 @cacahuate51 Thanks for a week! Interesting song choices. I've been watching a lot of matches lately, though I've been playing Rocksmith less. It's not easy in my time zone because some matches take place at night 😴 You can rest assured that I will comment on the difficulty ratings for the songs from the selection 🤣 I support Cape Verde, they are amazing 😍, and among European teams I support Norway because I like this team.

Finally. See you next week!

Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 660
This song haunts me because many of the competitors here achieve very high scores that I can't catch...

Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 660
Lead improvements I finally managed to achieve 95%, but it was difficult because many bends don't want to register. And then there are these two fast pull-off sections where if you make a mistake, you get a lot of misses. I kept having trouble with this riff after the streak of red, 2 blue, 2 yellow, and a red 13 or 11, which I tried to catch with my pinky, as I think it's supposed to be done. After a few tries, it got a little better, but still not perfect. Huge improvement yes! 🤣

Re-played Improvement. It's too hard to achieve 90 here, it's a pity that in this section where we have a series of fast bends using 3 strings, I only get misses no matter how I bending...

Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 660
You can probably guess that I've done this many times, so I know it's possible. But the week is almost over, so I'm leaving it for "maybe someday" 😉

Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 660
I listened to the song, and the only place it could be is before the solo? I checked tabs on UG, and indeed, there's a slide from red 9, and it even repeats it earlier. I think I used those tabs, and it wasn't there before; they must have updated them. Well, I see I need to improve it, but first I need to find the files where I created it 😕

Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 660
It's almost unreal that I've played and tested this so many times and never noticed it! But no one has mentioned it until now. Human eyes can be deceiving 😵 I'm not changing it now because I suspect changing the title would affect OCR recognition. Besides, the files from creating CDLC are on my old computer, or they've disappeared somewhere 😕

Bass This can be played more easily by not moving to the yellow (A string) frets 7-8 but staying on the blue 2-3.

Rhythm Well, this is a classic. Who remembers the movie 8 Mile? I watched it ages ago... I rated rhythm chart a 4 when I added song suggestion, which was probably over 3 years ago. Now, compared to the current ratings, I think it's more like a 3/3.5. Rhythm with a solo, it can't be easy 😉

Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 660
Scores from testing Lead Screenshot from past testing, I'll try to play this again. This is a cool song that was frequently played on the radio I listened to a few years ago, so I wanted to play it. @cacahuate51 I saw you wrote that it could be improved, but I haven't had much time lately, and I think it's more of a cosmetic improvement, because I didn't notice any bugs when I played it now after a long break. This is not very difficult but I have a problem with the speed of these riffs. That's why I hesitated to rate diff and I'm not sure about it. What a nice song and fun chart. I didn't know this before, so @jimmy655 thanks for the suggestion!

Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 660
What a massive lineup! So many great bands to see in one place. Out of curiosity, I checked where this festival is taking place and it turns out that it's not even that far from me, but I don't know if I could endure such a marathon 😄 Generally, I definitely prefer concerts at night or in arenas to those during the day. But with a lineup like that, I'd sometimes be confused about who to go see, as some concerts overlap.

Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 660
At first, it seemed a bit awkward, but once I started using the fingering as it is (with the thumb on the E string), my fingers easily fell into place for these chords. But you might be right, I'll give it a 2 for now, because that was my first thought. This shouldn't be too strong an indicator of difficulty, since we're constantly doing the same thing. Of course, it's worth considering this: if there's a song with long streaks of easy notes and, for example, a more difficult short solo, you can still achieve 99% quite easily. Then, even if the solo is, for example, a 7, it's better to give it a 6.5 so that it doesn't become a benchmark for level up to a higher class.

This week is over. Thanks for competing! The new championship week starts here:
