In Topic: 1 file failed to validate

19 August 2017 - 09:03 AM

@spacey7 You shouldn't need to change the device volume with windows, the calibration and the gain adjustment in the Rocksmith option should already set it to the perfect level for your own situation, fiddling with this can only make things worst.

I'm not sure what can make the file being corrupted for steam to not validate it but you can always try to not change the windows volume of the cable and see if it still does it.

@Xellot It has been hidden because that's not how you report issue with CDLC. Use the report button on the problematic CDLC and we'll deal with it.

@lobsterwithcrabs Seems like Rocksmith is far from completely download (or you are in the wrong folder) cause there should be a lot more files in the root folder.

I would first use steam to verify the integrity of the game files and it'll probably download everything that is missing.

When you re-installed all your settings in the ini file that you've set for the audio have been reset so any modification that made it work properly were lost in the process.

Also the remastered update changed a bit how many input RS grabbed exclusivity for but you can reverse back with one of the ini flag which should help you keep on chatting with people on skype while playing.

As for the profile, corruption is usually due to bad CDLC that have unsupported character in various places and that CDLC will keep on corrupting as long as it's played. Also maybe try to deactivate steam online synchronization for the save as it might not help getting back to a more stable state.

In Topic: Earplugs

@spacey7 A lot of bands prefer to use in ear monitor instead of wedge because the benefit are insane

178415_CO1.jpg

* less dB on stage, wedge needs a lot more power to offer a decent sound on the whole stage unlike in ears that can be very low and still offer impressive sound clarity

* the sound will stay the same no matter where you are on stage

* less outside perturbation : the drummer won't be as much of an issue since he will never cover the monitoring in your ear

* makes separate mix for each musician easy : wedge usually means that everyone will have the same mix send to them cause the wedge won't more around where the musician goes

So it's infinitely better for a musician to use these when playing on stage and it's way safer and greatly diminishes the number of dB you take in your ear.

Overall it's just standard in ears like that you would use for listening to music :
