Christmas Wrapping ...  I was working on it this last week, so this isn't a first try 97.67%

 

I played it on this - 34" scale.  Because it uses piano tuning pegs instead of machine heads, I tune it to D standard and put a capo at the second fret.  That way I can down tune to Eb standard by just moving the capo.

Dear Santa Roddy,

 

Have I been a good enough boy to get one of those Marcus Miller Jazz basses under the tree this Christmas.  PleeeezPrettyPleeez.

 

I know that chimneys are small and basses are big, so I would be really happy if you gave me all of the parts except for the body so I could make another of my homemade FreeBird creations.

Here's my first goes of the week on Bass......

 

Muse first as I love this old Smiths song.....this version is a lot different though 

 

 

 

onto the Bee Gees, which i should improve on over the course of the week........

 

 

Then on to Derek and the dominoes everything was going reasonably well until the end when all of a sudden my fingers stopped working, literally just completely stopped listening to my brain and just seized.

 

 

 

after an hours rest i gave the  Bee Gee's Lead a go.......

 

 

followed by the Muse Rhythm which was a lot harder than i thought it was going to be (I'd already played the bass and lead before but not the Rhythm)

 

 

lots of room for improvement on songs I am familiar with so looking like its going to be a busy week  :)

I've been lusting after a Squier Classic Vibe 60s (very much like yours - white with tortoiseshell scratchplate, RW fretboard), I just love that look (and the warm sound that would probably be a waste on RS and my undeserving hands!). :)   :wub:  

 

How soon IS too soon to get a second bass anyway?  :huh:  :lol:
