Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates, we've been working hard behind the scenes to make everything work.

Today is officially 14 days (two weeks) since CustomsForge has launched.

Here are some stats:

We have 8,957 members A total of 7,330 posts. Our total users online ever: 438 (YESTERDAY!)

We have a database of over 1,000 CDLC's.

The community has donated over $1,000

Thank you everyone for pulling together and making this community what it is.

NEW updates to notice:

You can now add your bass & guitar in your user profile

Search is now local, and is updated immediately without delay.

The website is faster and stable (that unfortunately cut some dev time out, as we had to work on that fulltime)

We have a new tracker for issues: http://customsforge.com/tracker/

Steam profile. You profile now has a steam view so people can add you / track your games: http://customsforge..../1-unleashed2k/

Here are some projects we are currently working on:

Search Settings

You will be able to set your own custom settings for search that will save with your username.

Request System

We're working on a new system for requests, unfortunately there is no ETA for this project yet.

Dark themed skin

I'm actually looking into some paid options to have the main theme reskinned black, ETA: This month We are working on a lot more behind the scenes but we can't offer complete details yet, still a lot of things in motion. Thank you once again for your support and we're working hard on resolving any issues with the website.  EDIT: I've decided to remove the TEMP DLC (THE OLD AREA, NOT THE NEW ONE) area this friday. Please read more about it here: http://customsforge....c-area-removal/

It's hard to express gratitude repetitively without sounding ingenuous. So, be that as it may, I appreciate all your work and your efforts to perpetuate the best of what Smithy's Anvil was when I first encountered it, and express my support and hopes for a long, happy future here.

Even though this has NOTHING to do with this site, I wanted to offer my worthless observations of the internet:

  • You cannot make everyone happy, no matter how hard you try.
  • If you try to make everyone happy, you only succeed in pissing everyone off.
  • You cannot have a picnic without ants and flies.
  • If you respond to a troll or flamer's post, then you have given them the one thing their mother wouldn't - attention.
  • It's easier to break a window than build a house.
  • If you build it, someone will find fault in it.
  • If you have something people want, it is priceless, especially when it's free.
  • Your opinion, along with a nickel, is worth a little less than two cents!

Keep on keeping on!

Let me throw something in also: ToDo: - it would be nice if when user adds a song to the DB then the auto generated topic would include also the band name. Also, if you lack of working hands on PHP development I would might be able to contribute by creating that request system since I've worked with some PHP projects. PM me, if interested. Also, thanks for work you've already done.

Black type on a white background is infinitely more easy to read than white type on a dark background. Might not be an issue for the younger crowd here. But for us ...um...older, wiser types... every little bit helps.

One thing about the white type on black background I've noticed (and maybe it's MY age, too), is you can look away at a blank wall and still read the type that's burned into your retina! You have to be careful when you print, too, lest you use up all your toner/ink cartridge. Usually the print function will correct for that, but not so much so when you do screen shots.

I don't know how to thank you.

One suggestion:

Having thousands or millions of CDLCs is great but I think the Quality and integrity is much better than quantity. If there was a system to rate the CDLCs even a testing team. That would be awesome/

Thanks again
