#204927 Strange CDLC problem win 10

Posted by Attitude on 04 March 2016 - 09:44 AM

Um. Since you've done this before I'm assuming they are in the right place. Reassign the app id again. Just try it. If that doesn't work, repackage them. There are only 2 reasons they won't show up, assuming the are in the right folder, wrong APP ID or wrong format m.parsc instead of p.pasrc. but again, try to repackage the ones you are having issues with.  OR you didn't allow the game to enumerate the new content. Don't add songs with the game running. If you do make sure to go to the store in game then back out.  But I always close down the game when adding songs.

#183478 Dusting first or restring?

Unless you have a tremelo just cut all the strings off then clean her up. I would clean the fretboard since you can get to it as well. String it up and enjoy. New strings are almost as good as new guitar day to me.

#167335 CPU overheating when playing RS

Posted by Attitude on 03 August 2015 - 05:51 PM

@TrbInTrbIn, I agree, a cpu running at 99% for hours at 40° environment temperature will not heat if well cooled.

but sometimes there isn't much choice on some laptops,

on a PC, you can even install a water cool system.

@DevStereo, 4 years a same system ? Well that was definitely before win 8

8 years on my desktop. Just GPU upgrades, and SSD upgrade. And obviously OS.

I can pound my CPU at 100% for hours on any system I have. If it is overheating it is a hardware issue, either dirt or bad paste. It's that simple. I'm not saying malware won't cause issues. But a fresh Windows install is not going to fix a temperature problem. If the new fan controller fixed it then it's an airflow issue.

#166516 How's Rocksmith 2014 working on Windows 10?

Posted by Attitude on 30 July 2015 - 05:07 PM

Also, I'll be putting Win 10 on my laptop,, so any issues with Rocksmith, EoF, or the toolkit I will hopefully find soon.

Because PACKS cause problems. Like non working songs. And if a song that were to become an official were to be in that pack. The PACK would have to come down. Locked.

#155464 How many guitars do you have?

For now,, 4 . Ibanez Gio which will live in D Standard 11-56 strings. A Dean Evo which lives in E Standard or Drop D,, A Hohner G3T ( heavily modified including an EMG 89XR bridge pup and EMG SA X series mid and neck pups ) which I will be restringing and will live in Eb, And my new baby a Schecter Hellraiser Hybrid which will live in E Standard 10.5 gauge strings ( It is actually a pre-production guitar which is the only Black Cherry Red Hybrid I have seen ( Refer to word Prototype for further info ) ) Soon I intended to pass off the sub standard guitars,, but money is an issue.

#153037 A questionfor my fellow "New Country/Southern Rock fans"

Posted by Attitude on 24 May 2015 - 08:30 PM

I built the GP for Waylon Jennings' Amanda from scratch, but that is a VERY simple song. I took a stab at Where Were You ( When The World Stopped Turning ) Alan Jackson,,, and there is ALOT more going there than just chords. I also have a great tab for East Bound and Down, but again, once I got into EoF,, ugh. Brad Paisley would be absolutely perfect for Rocksmith if UBI did some officials. People just don't realize what a great guitarist he is. We can always hope. When I was growing up, my dad played Bluegrass,, now THAT is a style I still can't play right. Here's to hoping UBI opens up the genres to country a little.

We've had this talk before. GP tabs are the issue. Tabbing from scratch is a PITA, and that's why you don't see much country. If you had an official tab book you can always make the GP tabs yourself,, but be warned,, it is time consuming. Then you put it in EoF and find out that you have too many or not enough repeats,, go edit the GP tab,, do it again,, and again, until you get it right. Of course,, if we could get some officials,, that would be cool.

Did you try checking the button up top that says Ignition, search ? Reasonably certain that song has been done. Like over a year ago. I haven't counted lately but there should be over 100 Metallica songs. 167 of them actually.

#142275 Seriously we need someone to make customs for country and classic rock.

The problem with country is finding GP tabs.

#141383 Your "Mt. Rushmore" of guitar players?

Posted by Attitude on 29 March 2015 - 03:33 PM

My 2 pennies worth.

Steve Vai: ( He played for Zappa at the ripe old age of 19. Are you kidding me ? ) He was  listed in the liner notes as Impossible guitar parts and stunt guitar, by Frank Zappa.

Randy Rhoads: ( Not necessarily the cleanest player out there but at the time he was doing things no one else was ) ( Career cut WAY to short by his untimely death. )

Darrel Abbot ( Dimebag ) : Frigging woke the metal world up with a new sound and different style.  Some of the best solo's I've ever heard. ) Brilliant.

Dave Mustaine : Highly underrated and a frigging genius as far as song writing goes. ( Don't believe me ? Try playing Lucretia . ) Holy Wars/ Punishment Due is composed as well as almost anything I can think of.

Many others but if I HAD to choose just 4,. I would gladly take the ability to play like any of them. I put Steve Vai at the top of this list because I KNOW he could play any of the others stuff.

#139028 CDLC not working

Posted by Attitude on 19 March 2015 - 10:59 PM

Of course customer support was useless. Ubisoft does not provide customs. They know it exists and they tolerate it. I just installed RS 2014 on my laptop and copied the Dx 9 file from my desktop to here and poof, no issues. I also copied my entire DLC folder and then told it no as far as an overwrite on existing files and BOOM, all of my cdlc is good AND my progress on said cdlc was saved.
