  4. eh, some sarcasm will toughen him up anyway... though I have noticed that the judgy voice seems to be a little more harsh on CDLC...any thoughts as to why this is?
  5. something like the MTV Unplugged series!?!?!? OMG I would love that. I am nowhere near talented enough to help, unless you have a way for noobs to help
  6. I'm a big country fan - so thank you in advance for the work you are going to do!!!
  7. I like the Avett Bros and groups similar to that - but I don't see any customs for them. :(
  8. I'm not much of a metal guy - though I will rock out once in a while -my interests lead more to acoustic, folk, bluegrass etc. any suggestions for customs?
  9. In Learn A Song Mode - you can sort by "recommended" - which is what I use most - usually when playing the recommended song - I will play it two or three times, this does have you jumping tunings frequently - but I've found it does a good job of challenging me.. My drawback with following that route is that I have a bunch of songs at 50% - and no real mastery of any song..at this point I am still very much a novice, so I am ok with that right now as I feel a broader exposure to musical styles and techniques is what I need - when I get a good chunk of songs to say 65-75%, my plan is to go back and revisit songs to be more focused and get a personal library of stuff up closer to 100. I know repetition is required, and at this point my learning is scattered - but I know I have a lot to learn and its still an open book.
  10. I typically use DD to increase difficulty - especially if it is a song I don't know at all. with that said - once I get a song closer to 100% difficulty - I might just bump it up the rest of the way, especially if I had a problem figuring out a patter, just so I don't learn the wrong finger placement .
  11. Started going to concerts in college - Weird Al was my first concert, back then my tastes were mostly classic rock and country as you can tell by this list. (most of them were various music festivals) .38 SpecialAlan Jackson (x2)Alice in ChainsB.T.OBad CompanyBig & Rich w/Cowboy TroyBilly CurringtonBilly Ray CyrusBlack KeysBlackhawkBlake SheltonBlue Oyster CultBob DylanBostonBrad Paisley (x2)Brooks and Dunn (x3)Chely WrightChris Cagle (x2)Corb Lund BandDarryl Worley (x2)Dave Matthews BandDef LeppardDiamond RioDierks BentleyDwight Yoakam (x2)Emerson DriveGary AllanGeorge Thorogood and the DestroyersGlen CampbellGrand Funk RailroadGretchen WilsonGuns n Roses (well Axel & Friends)Hall & OatesJamie O'NealJason AldeanJethro TullJimmy Buffet (x2)Jo Dee Messina (x2)Joe DiffeeJoe NicholsJohn Michael MontgomeryJosh TurnerKansas (x2)Keith Urban (awful)Kenny Chesney (x3)LeAnn RimesLee Ann WomackLittle Big TownLittle FeatLittle River BandLonestar (x2)Lorrie MorganLoverboyLynyrd SkynyrdMartina McBrideMarty StuartMidnight RideMolly HatchetMontgomery GentryMotley CrueNatalie MerchantNazarethNeal McCoy (x2)Nite RangerOak Ridge BoysPhil VassarRascal Flatts (awful)RATTRed Stick RamblersREO SpeedwagonRihanna (don't judge)Rodney AtkinsSammy KershawSara EvansSawyer Brown (x2)SHeDAiSY (x2)Sheryl CrowSister HazelSmashing Pumpkins (well - BIlly Corgan and some scrubs) (awesome concert)Social Distortion (awesome concert!)Stone Temple Pilots (x2)StyxSugarlandTed NugentTerri ClarkThe Guess WhoThe Marshall Tucker BandTim McGrawToby Keith (x2)Trace AdkinsTracy ByrdTrampled by TurtlesTravis TrittTrent TomlinsonTrick Pony (x2)Violent FemmesWeird Al YankovichZac Brown Band (x3)ZZ Top
  12. as a noob - I need DD, or more levels for score attack, or I'd probably quickly get frustrated and give up, learning in slow-mo isn't as productive for me as only playing part of the song is, I can get a feel for what might be coming in higher levels of the song.
  13. I've got 3: A Green Bay Packers logo, an Atlas/bulldog combo piece and a braille tribute to my mother. I've got another idea or two, but not quite ready for them yet.
  14. I have this one: http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Waves-Guitar-Strap-Celtic/dp/B004SUSFCI/ref=sr_1_4?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1411058093&sr=1-4&keywords=celtic+guitar+straps I love all things Celtic. I like my strap more than I like my guitar: http://www.amazon.com/Squier-Fender-Dreaming-Start-Playing/dp/B001R2I12Y/ref=sr_1_8?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1411058593&sr=1-8&keywords=fender+guitar+starter+pack I'm vaguely starting to look to upgrade my guitar, just not sure I can justify it yet.
