  1. Enumeration just creates a file that is pretty much a text file with a proprietary format for rocksmith. Yes the more songs you have the longer it will take for it to do that. It should never effect game play once it is done. If anything it would effect when you're going to pick a song having a huge list. I have a 3000 song library and my enumeration takes about two minutes. If you are having game play issues it's not because of your library size. I'm using a six year old system. AMD-A8 APU with hybrid crossfire and only 4GB of RAM. On top of my library I stream on Twitch and the game runs at the full frames 1080p with all the settings maxed out. Also by the way I'm not trying to be confrontational about anything. I'm just trying to logically figure it out since no one knows how UBISOFT programmers wrote the code that handles this and everyone seems to have different experiences.
  2. Right hellrazror that is why you would have to ask the programmers of ignition or Rocksmith to know their programs limitations like I said. Sorry i wasn't clear i was pointing out it wasn't as much of a hardware problem (thought it can be with what you mentioned) it comes down to the program more than a hardware issue. Correct you couldn't max out memory addresses without messing with most peoples system resources and the limitation of 32 vs 64 bit but I don't think anyone would ever get near them with a few thousand songs. I did oversimplify it and didn't mean to intend that those numbers were the upper limits, just that computers can handed a huge amount of data and wherever they store the enumerated data should be able yo hold a large library without crashing anything. Also holding enumerated data should come down to how big the file they use for it is. It's not like every song in it's entirely is being held in RAM. Enumeration is just a list of what is there probably in a text file that would be pretty hard to mess with anyone hardware.
  3. Do you have exclusive audio on in game? You would only need that off if you're streaming to Twitch. Also since I'm replying on my cell I forget what setting it is but off the top of my head audio latency being set to low can do the same thing. I'm running a system over 5 years old and don't run into this problem. I also run it on my laptop that is almost 15 years old. Have you tried the game on it's default settings? If you changed them because of lag then don't use HDMI for audio and get a 1/8" to rca adapter to connect it to your home stereo or get speakers that connect to the line out or speaker output from your pc.
  4. @@Toddo With PS3 if you are updated past 3.88 I think it is you can't jailbreak your console. Either way you have to be able to load custom firmware onto your PS3 or 360 to add custom songs.
  5. @@brubeck99 I was just curious since some people were giving you answers about in game. I personally haven't run into problems in game or in ignition with how many songs you have. In game and on ignition from what people are saying it doesn't sound like there will be a problem since people are saying they have 1600 songs I think you will be fine. I have yet to run into people saying anything about having a huge library. I'm also curious cause there is usually a limit before memory addresses roll over for a lot of programs but with most people using 64-bit OSes now a days the number would be huge. Since "The number 9,223,372,036,854,775,807, equivalent to the hexadecimal value 7FFF,FFFF,FFFF,FFFF16, is the maximum value for a 64-bit signed integer in computing." Most maximums for data now a days maxes out there and that should never be a problem for games like Rocksmith. You would have to be running some crazy program to overflow a 64-bit system. Then again does Rocksmith run in 64 or 32 bit. Even still the max of 32 bit would be really high. The programmers of Rocksmith or CustomForge would have to tell you the upper limit for the programs they wrote.
  6. I run RS on a outdated PC @ 1080p with all the settings on high. It an older AMD A8 APU with hybrid crossfire. What are you getting for $1000? It can probably run most of the newer games as well. If you're just trying to play Rocksmith you can probably go with a cheaper machine. CDLC is free you are encouraged to buy the song. Most lag is caused by HDMI audio. I've never run into audio lag problems before but I use my optical audio output my PC to my home stereo. I would also use a Logitech usb headset and didn't run into audio lag. I'm not sure about the console versions problems. I never use my TV speakers but it would be HDMI. If you are going to connect to a home stereo I would use optical if available if you don't have optical audio you best bet would be a 1/8th inch stereo to RCA converter to go from your PC to a home stereo. The CDLC will work right from download to RS if you buy cherub rock by smashing pumpkins. If you don't want that track buy any official DLC and convert the CDLC to that song using the Rocksmith tool kit. Plenty of information on here on how to do that.
  7. I ran into this recently when I updated OBS. In older versions I didn't need to turn off the audio exclusive setting in Rocksmith. Check and see if it on in the audio settings in game.
  8. Windows 10 has native support for xboxone controllers and steam uses them well. If you want to go cheap get a PS3 controller and use SCPToolkit. It allows a ps3 controller to appear as a xbox360 controller to Windows and has blutooth support. Since the PS3 is older and on its way out I would assume you can find a Dualshock 3 cheaper than a PS4 or Xboxone controller.
  9. Before you get into the habit invert the fret board and look up how to read tabs that way when you need to use a tab it will be second nature. Reading tabs is easy when you know how it works reading sheet music takes more time to pick up. Just a suggestion.
  10. I think the only ones that do that for me are from the old website that may not even be on ignition. When it happens I'll make a note of it next time and send you a list. I just usually play for hours at a time then forget about it. I know it would be good to let you guys know. I'll try and be more proactive next time.
  11. are you talking about on Ignition or in the game?
  12. He's having a different problem I think. I can play tons of CDLC but every once in a while it does that with some older ones. I'll be playing tons of songs all day come across one that I'm still at 0% on and wonder why then I remember I forgot to delete that one because it won't play. There are some older ones that crash the tone system as well. You will still hear your guitar but there will be no sound effect added to it and the sound waves don't show coming out of the amps then you have to restart the game to get your tones back. What songs is it doing this for you? All CDLC or just a few? firekorn is correct that if you have an outdated dll it will do this also but I've run into this happening even with the new version.
  13. Searched the forums and didn't see any posts about this yet. So to save people the time that I wasted trying to figure out why after the April 2018 update your real tone cable isn't working. With the April 2018 update they added new privacy features that block most apps from using your microphone. So to get it to work again go to your windows settings and search microphone privacy and switch it to allow apps to use your mic. I wasted an hour trying to figure it out and reinstalled Rocksmith all over again when all I had to do was click this setting. Hope this saves some people time after they get the windows update.
