  1. I think it's a really good idea. People can bypass it anyway using the manual adjustment in the riff repeater 'trick'. Everyone learns differently - I've even seen some people asking for the old style mode - cant remember what it's called - the old 'you must hit each note otherwise the song stops' The more options we have the better.
  2. Thanks for the advice, sounds like the obvious thing I was missing. I will post again when I've hopefully managed to get my 12/8 songs working.
  3. I thought I was probably being really stupid and went back and double checked guitar pro for the correct time signature - it is correct. And made sure I selected inport time signature because I was previously doing this manually..... Same problem. By saying it is imported not correctly I mean that when the notes import they appear to be spaced out, like the whole thing has been elongated. I'm using the same BPM as in Guitar Pro and yet the imported notes in EOF are at a completely different, much slower tempo. I have a feeling I'm missing something really simple and obvious (as usual!)..... especially as you're saying lots of 12/8 songs have been done.... Does anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
  4. Hi all, Has anyone been able to successfully import a 12/8 time signature guitar pro tab and if so how did you do it? Whenever I try it just doesnt import correctly....
  5. Tried again and it doesn't work - I can only think there is something in the guitar pro import that it doesn't like.
  6. Sorry - forgot to mention no errors when saving on EOF
  7. I haven't tried re-encoding the WAV file - i'll give it a try and report back if it does work. Tried repacking it previously so it's not that.
  8. Thanks for the suggestions but that's not it - i used the dynamic difficulty creator the same as all my other cdlcs which work. And there is no tone change at the point it crashes
  9. Hi all, I've been trying to create some custom content with some success but there is one song in particular where everything seems to work fine in RS and then it always crashes at the same part. Other CDLC i've made work fine. Any ideas on what could be happening here? I've also done a couple of others which dont crash but just get stuck before the song appears - so basically the song doesnt start and you can just see the strings at the bottom of the screen (the guitar still sounds). Any ideas for this occurance?
  10. Great advice people, thanks very much.... I particularly like the Dynamic Difficulty Creator idea, having tried it, I cannot believe how well it works AND it now solves my problem of having to name each section. Brilliant.
  11. I seem to be getting the hang of this now, but... having had a play around with setting various section markers, I cannot get my head around how I am supposed to use these to differentiate each segment of a song. One major problem with this is that the song gets treated as one long section and consequently it thinks I want the player to have every single fret down the entire fretboard covered! The view zooms out to incorporate all these frets.... which isnt very useful! I'm assuming RS looks at the notes within a section and decides on which part of the guitar to highlight based on that - I may well be wrong. Is this caused by me failing to use sections properly and if so has anyone written a guide on this? ( I have looked but cannot find anything) If this issue is nothing to do with the use of named sections, I'd also still like to know how I resolve the 'zooming out' problem.
  12. Sorted - you were right, I must have been using a different wav file with all my messing about! Thanks.
  13. I believe I've looked up every guide and tutorial, followed the steps (not to mention experimented about ten times) and always have a problem getting the synching correct when it gets to importing to Rocksmith. Everything is synched up perfectly in EOF but then after generating the package and importing to Rocksmith it is always out. Does anyone have any suggestions?
