I've been away for quite a while and just fixed my old songs that now had the 100% bug. Is there a similar fix for songs that don't increment the "times played" number? I have a few songs that are stuck at 0.
I hope this site doesn't go down in flames like the other did. It's absolutely amazing and I love coming here several times a day. The search is fantastic, the theme is too. I hope everything can just work out. I'm poor so I couldn't afford to donate but I would have liked to. Thanks to everyone working on the site, to everyone making customs and to everyone just coming here and posting.
Luckily I've never had this happen in over 200 hours of play. The only times it crashed at all was from faulty customs too I think. For easy backup you could use something like gamesavemanager
I know for certain that I do NOT know the names of the charters for a lot of the songs. So that would make that even a bit more complicated. I agree though, all these great projects getting lost is terrible
Ernie ball power slinkys, thickest I can get. Thats fucking awesome. I thought about this since I got rocksmith, it would be really cool to have them in RS colors. I don't need that anymore now but Id probably still get them just because they look cool. How are they to play, how often do they need to be changed, hows the sustain etc?
I think if you made improvements on a project that doesn't seem to get updated anymore it should be fair game. I mean it's a free learning resource in the first place, nothing anyone gains anything from except maybe fame and thanks from the community. Which would be covered with giving credit. If the author is still active I say ask them first. If they seem to have vanished, improve away and give credit and it will benefit the community again.
Just please don't bring back the 5 star rating system, it was complete bullshit and encouraged downrating because people didn't like the song. Most ratings were completely asinine and not understandable. It also creates a hostile atmosphere and might put people off from creating CDLC. I know I wouldn't want to post something I made for myself when it gets immediately put on trial to get judged and then rated by people who leave no comment and give it a shitty score because they don't like the song. The submitted and approved section was best I think.
