I have those on my bass at the moment, and they are awesome. The sound and the quality of the string is very good. When you play a song, press space to enter Riff Repeater mode. Select a song phrase you want (O,P,0,9 keys as far as i remember) ( if song has a DD) and now you set the song speed to whatever level you want and practice it slowly. ;)
Set your realtone cable volume to 100% in Windows Volume Panel. And it also depends on Tone Volume set by the CDLC author. You have to contact the CDLC author to change the volumes if they are messed up.
Imho dynamic difficulty =/= better learning I preffer 100% difficulty and slowing the song down to learn it slowly, with all the techniques required. In example start the part you have problems with and set the speed to 50% or slower if you want and practice it slowly and when you feel that you can play it increase the speed a little bit. ;) And to answer your question. I think you can't add DD to customs you have, without the core files like guitar tabs etc.
Create a louder tone and put a tone change before the solo starts. Select the place where you want the tone to change and press Ctrl+ Shift + T. More options on tone changes under Track > Rocksmith > Tone Changeapply the tone name you will use (has to be the same). You have to change it back to the basic one after the solo.
