#147878 New Guitar Godin vs Sterling

Posted by a.peter on 30 April 2015 - 02:00 AM

My advice: Go to a guitar shop and put your hands on guitars from 500 € to 900 €. You have to play a guitar to know if it fits to you. Don't look at names, don't look at the country they were produced. Just play them.

e -0----
h -0----

G -0----
D -2----
A -2----
E -0----

E -0----
A -2----

D -2----
G -0----
h -0----
e -0----

#117617 RockSmith 2014 mods

To learn more complex tabs i'm not using RS at first. Instead i use RocksmithToTab to convert the DLC to Guitar Pro format. Using Guitar Pro i learn the complex parts of the songs. When i'm able to play the song with about 70% tempo i switch back to RS.

#84139 [DLC] 8/26/2014 - Bachsmith

Great package! Wonderful!

And after watching the "behind the scenes" videos i hope that people stop complaining about the price of the DLCs. They are worth every penny. Such amount of work done for each of them.

Now i wish more jazz for RS.

#82117 Squier Deluxe Strat worth it?

Posted by a.peter on 20 August 2014 - 12:27 AM

Recently i bought a new guitar. And i learned: Go to several guitar shops and play the guitars. If you feel comfortable while playing, it's worth it. Othewise don't take it.

I thought about a 300 € guitar and played quite a lot of these, but there was nothing i liked. I played a couple of 800 € guitars but ended up with a 550 € Hagstrom because this one was perfect for me.

So: Don't look for brands, just play them.

#69573 cd, vinyl, mp3

And the vinyl is way behind the quality of a FLAC.

Depends on the source of the FLAC. If the source was vinyl, there should be no difference. If the source was CD, there might be differences. If the source was MP3 the quality will definitive be far behind viny. ;)

#60759 Import Tabs (Without Music) Into Rtk?

Posted by a.peter on 24 June 2014 - 01:24 PM

Think I'm gonna wait for a better tool to be released before trying this again.

It's unlikely that there will be any other tool to create CDLCs. The combination EoF and Rocksmith Toolkit is fine for the typical use.

#1361 POLL: Site Theme Colours

Posted by a.peter on 18 February 2014 - 04:40 AM

Best would be user switchable themes. I prefer the current theme and don't like dark themes. Others prefer dark themes. Solution: Provide 2 or 3 themes and let the users decide which to use.
