  1. I've looked around the internet for a solution to this myself, and I was never able to find anything. The closest I found was that Songster lets you download their tabs if you know where to look, but UG really don't want people downloading their official tabs. An old post on their forums complained about it, for the same reason you and I would, but the staff response was that they think people would just repost the tabs for free in other places, making the Pro sub worthless which, yeah, that probably would happen. It sounds like a lot of work, but I've actually charted a handful of songs from UG tabs by just copying them by hand. It's not convenient (and their official tabs often have small errors in them anyway), but it's worked well enough for me.
  2. I'd like to more Nothing, but tabs for their songs are a bit scarce. Still, I have some of their stuff on my list to do sometime.
  3. I'm gonna go through the DLC I own and extract the tones from all of them. Don't know how long it'll take, but it seems like something that'll really help the community. Also wanna point out that I don't own maybe 5 or 6 of the DLC packs, so someone else will have to cover those. Or maybe I'll just buy them anyway...

I have this on my list of songs to make in the future, thanks for reminding me to get around to it soon. You're right, Pinkerton missing this one song should be fixed.

    CDLC Requests

I listened to them both yesterday, and the shorter version actually has some extra guitar parts that the extended version (which is apparently fan-made, not sure why they removed stuff) doesn't have, so I think that one would be more fun to play. Also it would be a great deal easier to finish a 5 minute song's chart as opposed to an 8 minute one, so I've already started on the shorter one. Don't know how long it'll take but I like the song a lot so I plan to get it out eventually.

I have started looking at a tab for this, but can't commit to finishing it anytime soon. I may end up doing the shorter version of the song just to make it easier, who knows.
  9. I was thinking of requesting Eye, since there was a not-so-great version on here before that seems to be gone now, but after listening to it just now I'm not sure if there's any guitar in it at all. There's a few live versions of it on video that might make a worthwhile chart, but the audio quality's a bit suspect on them. This performance here is pretty good, but I'm not sure how doable it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPNBpsVqUMI
  10. I wanted to thank you for explaining how lyrics work. I avoided doing them for years because the tutorial I initially learned from didn't include how to do them, and I had no idea if it would be another difficult process that made making CDLC that much tougher, but it turns out it's probably the easiest part of the whole thing.
  11. OK, I'm sorta back making customs, not as frequently as before, but every so often when I have time.

  12. PSA: I've stopped working on customs as of sometime last year. Anyone is free to edit my tracks and reupload them, all I ask is for credit.

  13. For those asking about my version of Sex on Fire (the newer one), I initially made it because I found the sync on the original's rhythm part to be very off, likely because the first note of the song starts at the very end of a measure. I imagine the person who made it wasn't sure what to do with it. I tend to work from other people's GP5 files, while also looking at tabs, but mostly going by ear. It's actually nice to get all this feedback from you guys. If you have any other specific complaints about my version I'd like to hear them. Not sure when I'll get around to revisiting this one but I want to in time.
